Excellent! I love it when this question comes up.
There've been a lot of posts over the years about the best way to make
mix-a-mouse
Or mix-a-moose
Basically, you need a much bigger blender for the moose.
More seriously...
I like to use around 200ml of water when making mousse.
Put the water you're going to use in the freezer for around half an hour before hand. Another tip - put the level scoopful of mix-a-mousse into the packet you're going to use and mix it well in the packet before adding it to the chilled water.
You need to blend this stuff for a while - a good minute (yes, that long!)
To get it to set, you can put the bowl of sludge in the fridge for 5 minutes (I stick it in the freezer cos I'm mega impatient) - and hey presto, 5 minutes later, it's ready for eating.

Perfect thanks Lilly, I have a few spare packs so have room for error. After 20 weeks I'm starting to find the diet is getting harder, so thought a wee moose might add something new

I made mix a mousse/moose/mouse tonight, and it worked!!! Added too much water but it has set regardless, and made a huge bowlful as you can see! Very very very filling. I mixed the powder with the shake, added the mix to cold water in the blender and blended for about a minute. When I poured it in to the bowl it was the same consistancy as shake and expected it fo be a fail! Stuck it in the freezer for 10 minutes, et voila!

Yes it's good. Used a toffee and walnut shake, which is one I haven't had since I first did Cambridge nearly 5 years ago! I remember it being much sweeter than it was this evening. Took a while to eat all that and feel absolutely stuffed - more so that I would after drinking a shake, but wonder if that is because I have had just tetras the last couple of weeks.
