Week one!!!

Hellooo,

i started on cambridge last week and had my first weigh in today, i have lost 12lbs and i am over the moon with it! I have been reading the threads for tips and motivation and decided to post today! :)
cant wait to continue on my little journey!!x
 
Thank you! It makes it all worth it doesnt it, day 5 was horrid haha! But im glad i stuck to it! I felt abit poorly for the first few days but im ok now, and ive got 1shake,1bar and one lemon yogurt bar everyday this week, so im very happy about that! ive done cambs before and although i havent put all my weight back on i did put some back on, but i am so much more mentally ready this time, im addressing my habits etc and have realised chocolate is my enemy haha! How do u find it? Ur weight loss is amazing!!

OMG that's amazing! You must be so proud of yourself! You're past the worst part now (week 1) just stay focused and you'll be reaching your goals in no time!
 
I was so pleased, i keep worrying that her scales were playing up haha! Your week one loss is fab also! :D roll on week two!!
 
Thank you, Cambslass! <3 It's all about mentality, isn't it? I've lost count of the number of times I'd tried Cambridge and quit after a few days. Two weeks was the best I ever managed but a bad day sent me spiralling. Now I've got two months under my (loosening) belt, it suddenly feels much more achievable. I think a nasty break up I had last year kind of kicked me into place!

The best thing about doing Cambridge right now at this point in time? The lemon yoghurt bars! I would eat those even if I wasn't on the diet! My counsellor says she can sell over 200 a week!
 
It totally is! I lost weight before and the whole time through i kept thinking ooo when im off i'll be able to have fish and chips etc..total wrong mentality! Im not saying i'll never eat anything bad, because i will lol but in moderation! This time im not interestd in the 'bad' stuff im excited for my little journey towards healthy eating and i just feel im mentally in the right place :D i know what you mean, i think my issue is im very much an emotional eater..stressed..upset...chocolate!!haha! But i know its a cliche, but if you can grit ur teeth and get through the bad days and stick to plan it really is worth it isnt it! Suck it up so one day you wont have to suck it in they say lol! Oh my goodness, i tried my first lemon bar for breakfast today!! I dont normally even like lemony things but jee wizz haha YES:) ive got one for breakfast each morning this week and then bars for tea so im super happy this week tehe! I tried the apple and cinnamon porridge today too, have u tried it? Yum! :)
 
Well done on your first week. I don't think I will have as amazing a loss as you as I had to start on step 2 as I have anaemia. I love the strawberry shakes , chicken and mushroom and oriental chilli soup so far. Couldn't eat even 3 mouthfuls of the porridge!! Made me want to vomit! Consultant let me swap them! Phew!
 
Thankyou zenlad! I was completely shocked with the loss, but very happy! Im sure u will have a fab loss! And the first weigh in really spurs you on so good luck! Its so weird how peoples tastes are soooo different isnt it?! I loooove the porridges haha! I like the soups too :) but this week im all about the sweet ones lol when is your weigh in day? Fingers crossed for you :)
 
My weigh in is on Wednesday!! Started on Thursday just gone so today is day 3. It was the texture of the porridge that made me want to vomit! As well as taste. It was the pecan and maple porridge ?

Do you have a tgt weight? I need to lose 4 stone!
 
How are you feeling on day 3? Day 5 was my "argh" day haha but got through it! Oh i loved the maple and pecan haha but i completely understand what suits some doesnt suit others and of course you need to find one you enjoy as it makes the journey easier :) at present im 11stone, my target i set with my consultant is 9and a half but i may try for 9, i think its good to have a goal but its a little bit of a guessing game, i mean for example i could lose one stone and you could lose 2 and we might be happy with what we see in the mirror and want to stay there :) the fab thing is the weight loss on CWP is fast so you will be at your goal in no time atall :D your weigh in is two days before mine, so whatever the scales say will determine weather i get that friday feeling or not haha!:)
 
Well I am feeling more hungry today and can't think of anything else other than what am I gonna eat next!
I stepped on my scales today but stupidly didn't step on them day I got weighed. But if they are accurate I have lost 5lb's!! Time will tell!!
You will be at your goal sooner than me as you have half the weight to lose!!
I just did a really bad thing. My Hubbie and brother kindly left an open bag of sweets. I lifted the bag and sniffed it and put it back!! So tempting to eat one but resisting the urge!!!
 
I have those days too! I tend to fill up on water or do something to try and take your mind off it, even watching a programme etc.
wow 5lbs is awesome :D i use my home scales too but ive decided to not check through the week and maybe just the day before my weigh in to have a sneaky look haha!
haha that made me really giggle that is SO the sort of thing i do!! Haha! Smelling peoples confectionary...not something wr should admit to! Hahaha:) yes resist the urge! Do you have any of the cambridge bars? As they are such a nice "treat" and something to chew also, half fools you that you are being a bit naughty :) x
 
Yeah I got the bars. Find it hard to eat a whole one but know they're supposed to be a meal. Was wondering if you can use it as one of your meals but space out eating it though out day???
 
Yes as far as i know thats fine:) my consultant said you can space it how you want as its still the same amount of calories youre getting so whatever suits you best :) also if you go onto google and type in 'cambridge recipes minimins' the thread for some recipes will come up how to change your shakes up abit! Worth a look :)

No worries :) Thats fab! I felt horrid for my first 5 days haha but now im feelin really good! I wish i could speed up time as i get excited for weigh ins haha!:)X
 
Hi well done on your first week loss thats amazing ! And zenlad I am also a sweet sniffer.... and crisps .... and biscuit sniffrr hahah x
