Why is the cambridge diet so hard to get back on?

When i first started i lost 2 stone in just under 2 months and found it so easy, now its a different story!!!

For the past 2 years i have been on and off the cambridge, loosing and putting it all back on again, i seem to be in the same cycle, try and start it again thinking to my self this is a fresh start, get to day 3, cave in and binge for the next 2 days!

I am giving my self this last time to do it, i love the idea of the cambridge, its quick and eliminates food and tempation. So i thought i would get my self on here and hopfully be able to get support and motivation!!!

Starting Weight - 5ft8in 13st09lb

GOAL WEIGHT - 10st
:)

I keep listing all the things i want and all the occasions coming up to keep me focused!!!!

- boob job
-confidents
-Boyfriend
- to fit in to a pair of size 10 jeans lol

If any one has been on and off the cambridge but managed to get back on a sucessed please get in contact (sorry for any spelling mistakes lol)

I first attempted Cambridge about 4 years ago, I did really well for the first 6 or 7 weeks, came off plan, then messed around trying to get back on. I had to completely come away from it for quite some time. I started again at the beginning of August and have managed to stay on SS (I've had 4 SS+ days) without coming off plan. Your head has to be in the right place when you do this :)

Meant to add - Good luck! You CAN do this!

I did Cambridge in 2008. 13 weeks I lost just short of 5 stone. I then stopped, and it all went wrong. Regained everything and some extra, and kept trying to get back on but never lasting more than a few days.

Something clicked over Christmas last year, and I knew this was it and I was going to do it. I went on to lose nearly 7st in 19 weeks, then had to stop unexpectedly for an operation. Ended up with two different operations and a holiday over the summer and being off plan for four months.

I restarted three weeks ago, having gained 18lb over the summer. I am well and truly back in the swing of it and back to where I was before my break already! Hoping for another 4 stone off before Christmas.

At the end of the day you have to be in the right place mentally, or you will not succeed at this diet. At least that is my honest belief. I want ready before and it all went horribly wrong. Now I am ready and I will get to target and keep it off!

Hi,
I'm new on here and am starting Cambridge tomorrow, I'm 12.8 and would like to lose 1 and a half stone in 6 weeks. Is this possible?
I'd love a buddy if anyone is doing the diet to.

I'd say it's a dead cert! Stick to it 100% and you will get results!

Hi. I started the diet back in May. Stuck to the diet for 8 weeks 100%. We then had a scheduled week off, and it went tits up. I haven't put any back on but haven't lost any more either. Today is my first Saturday, where I haven't cheated. I really want to get focused again, and get to my goal for Christmas. Though at the moment I need to take each day as it comes, and try and get back into ketosis, and stay there.
completely understand how difficult you are finding it, feeling just the same.

How much did you lose? And do you mind if I ask your start weight?

I started at 15st10 got down to 13.10 in the 8 weeks. Since then it has taken me ages to lose 10lbs. Currently 13st 10lb. Would like to get to my goal by Christmas or into a size 14 jeans. Can't remember when I was last a size 14 bottom.

2 stone in 8 weeks is brilliant and I'm sure you'll do it again.
I've had a bad day today, I've had 5 jelly babies and not enough water.
I find it easier at work when I'm in a routine.

I'm finding it all hard. Recently started a job where we get free staff meals on shift. So resisting all this yummy food is so hard.
Wow 5 jelly babies. I don't think I would have been able to stop after 5 :)

I wouldn't usually stop at 5, I'd eat the whole bag.
It must be so hard to resist the free food at work, it gets me at work when I can smell everybody's lunch so I tend to get out of the workshop, even if I just walk around the block.
It'll be worth if in the end, not if I carry on with the jelly babies tho, very disappointed in myself x
