Hi all

iam hardly ever online but I think this forum is great

i have tried Cambridge a few times and then failed :(

iam 29 with 2 kids and aim going on my first girls holiday in March... I need to get on this ASAP.

iam looking for a buddy who would want to go through this with me and help each other out though email?? I have email on my phone but can't get access to this site.

just looking for support and to be able to support someone else :)

i am am just over 17 stone :(

Hi. I'd be happy to buddy up. Makes things so much easier when you have someone in the same situation. I'm also 29 and starting at 15 stone 9lb. Now on day 8 of low-carbing until my shakes arrive in the post. I've also done the diet before xx

Any way I can help id be happy to. I can only give the shitty advice of perseverance. Just keep going no matter what.
I have found it so hard at times over the years but what I loved about Cambridge was that it was guaranteed to work. The only way it wouldn't is if I didn't do it properly.
I started at 13.8 and wanted to get to 10.7 and did it religiously for 3 months. Knowing that the time would pass whether I did it or not. Then 3 months later it was gone.
I was too scared to cheat in case I came out of ketosis or craved food. I spent my money on health magazines, fitness mags yoga mags, nail varnish and expensive bath bombs and face and hair masks from lush to distract me.
I refused invites to social events unless I could guarantee I could just have my bar and knew in my head I would be ruthless.
I ignored the comments like 'ooh just drinking your special water' or 'how much weight can you gain if you just have a salad' and persevered.
Then 3 months later I was done.
I have fluctuated from 10.0-10.9 since may 2013.
Just keeping control now and will get the zone or bug again to get to 9.0.
Rather than feel a failure for not being 9.0 and putting it all on again (which I would have done years ago) I feel good for being this weight right now and it's still a success.
Don't be swayed by anyone. Make the commitment to be 100% and when your finish date rolls around all your weight will be gone.
Or the date will still roll around and it won't.

In the end I had to be as clear cut as that as I had set so many previous deadlines and failed.
 
Well spoken, Last-Timer, that is the way it has to be with Cambridge : you stick to the plan and the results are there. 'Nuff said !
I have been faffing about since end of October but reading your wise words just now has really hit home, thank you ! xxx
