Hi my name is Debbie I'm starting the cambridge diet and would love to have some support from somebody who understands how it feels to be so fed up with your weight . Did cambridge diet last April and lost over a stone then just stopped really want to stick to it until I reach my target I have 3 and a half stone to lose .

Hi Debbie. Today is my first day back on the Cambridge diet. I did the diet back last year and lost 2 stone. I have another 2 and a half to go. I'm being a bridesmaid in 6 weeks time so I really need to stick to it!
I understand how hard it is, but keep strong, once you're passed the first week it gets better. Are you doing sole source? :)

Hi Sophie thank you so much for getting back to me yes I'm starting sole source I'm actually looking forward to getting started its going to be tough but want to feel good again x

When are you starting? You will feel so much better when you start. Today was my first day back and it was surprisingly easier than I thought it was going to be! Also, try the rice pudding!... It's new (ish) and it's really lovely! I had it for dinner with some nutmeg on top. X

Starting tomorrow hope I find my first day easy well done for getting through your first day ! Ill try the rich puffing thanks x

Hi Debbie! I will be starting the Cambridge diet this coming weekend. It'll be the first time that I'll be trying weight loss through this route. I'm looking to lose 4 1/2 stone so that I'm back at 9 stone. Completely fed up with my weight and you have my full support! Best of luck for tomorrow- keep us posted. :)

Hi cdrome it will be much easier when you've got the support of other people in the same boat so we can get through it together . Just want to get the first couple of days out the way and then you find it a bit easier x

Hi all

My name is Rory. I am on Day 1 of Sole Source, it's now over half way through the day and I'm doing ok...

I am just on the shakes, so I started with a butterscotch shake at 7am, followed by a ready made strawberry shake at 11am, mint choc shake at 2pm and will have another shake at 6pm...

I am currently on my 2nd litre bottle of water so far and I'm aiming to do at least one more today...

At my first weigh in yesterday, I weighed 18st 12lbs, and I'm looking to get down to 15st 3lbs by 20th February...

Is this possible? As I've only just started I am not doing very much exercise at the moment but would like to do a little bit within the next couple of weeks.

Looking forward to seeing the new me! :)

Hi Rory! :)

Well done on your first day! Keep going with the water.

I'm on day two today and was surprised how easy I got through yesterday. It's the weekends I find the hardest.

I'm not really all that fussed on the shakes, I prefer the ready made cartons. I normally have porridge for breakfast, then a chocolate carton for lunch that I mix with black coffee so that it's warm (it's really nice!!) and then rice pudding late afternoon. The bars are nice too, but I won't be having any of those until week 3.

Everybody is different when it comes to the amount of weight loss. I've been told that it's normally about a stone a month. You may find that you notice it more in inches though! :)

X

Hey Debbie, I agree. This forum is great in that respect. I've started a weight loss diary on here too, so that I can track my journey and be held accountable. My days prior to starting are quite carb-orific, so I'm dreading the first few days! How're you getting on? X

Thanks Sophie!

I have been told I can also drink flavoured water such as Volvic which I have started to do this afternoon as it's much nicer. I noticed it has calories, is it better to drink water or is it ok to drink flavoured water in place of normal water?

Thanks

That's the first I've heard about being allowed to drink flavoured water. I'd double check with you consultant. I only ever drink normal still water. You can get flavouring from your consultant to add to water, it's quite nice. Have you tried sparkling water? That might be a good alternative for you...

I hope everybody's had a good day!! :)

X

Hi Sophie, I'm on ss day 3. It'll be day 4 tomorrow and I'm really thrilled that I've finally, finally, finally started my journey. I've been making excuses but increasingly became aware how tired I was of being tired of looking the way I did. Decided 2014 is my year and started on the 1st day of the year.. So excited. I've got about 5st to lose. It seems like it'll take forever but I've taken the 1st step and I'm so very proud of myself.. Keep at it dear. I want U to be as excited and determined about Ur journey as I am about mine, because it'll all be soooo worth it in the end :) Remain focused. xxx

Oh what a lovely message!! It's nice to hear somebody so excited and determined. It was my second day on SS today, and I'm going strong. It is a hard journey but it will be worth it for us all. I've done the Cambridge diet before but this is my first time on this forum so it'll be nice to keep In touch with people in the same boat who understand how difficult it is. We can keep each other motivated!! :) I hope you have a good weekend - keep at it!! It's so much easier once the first week is compete! X
