this could be a sts week if my own scales is anything to go by, totm is awol for weeks, I'm absolutely starving yet still in ketosis and everything is a bit blah today. Feeling very sorry for myself right now. ive bedn in the gym every day this week too and been 100% so a sts week will be doubly annoying.
 
Keep strong. I've had 2 sts weeks the last 2 weeks but determined to shift more. The body is weird sometimes. X

Keep with it, I am finding things harder now that I have less to lose, determined to stick with it though.

It was my birthday yesterday and I thought what the hell and I had some onions with my chicken tikka, such a rebel!
 
You're doing so well Kiwi, and even though scales say no loss I bet you'll have lost inches, Hang in there xx
 
Tomorrow is D Day, I'll know then. I bought new clothes so I can't tell if I've lost inches this week. I'm absolutely starving today though. I'd had my three shakes by 2.30. It's going to be a long evening.
 
Fizzy water to hand and you'll be fine hun. Think about the hell of getting back into ketosis if you cheat, If that doesn't work and you absolutely have to have something stick to plain chicken with a little mayo, no carbs so you wont be kicked out of ketosis xx
 
Well im on SS+ and i hadnt had my eggs this morning as normal so i had grilled chicken, mixed leaves and a couple of slices of cucumber for tea and I think that will tide me over. im extremely bloated though for some reason and I'd eat a horse. the scales are not my friend either. I may even be up tomorrow and my stomach is like a football. TOTM is a good two weeks overdue on this damn diet. im not going to give into the cravings but this is the first time since i started this diet that if a pizza was put down in front of me I dont think Id say no.
 
Its not until 630 so I'll check in after. New trousers are tight though so Im definitely retaining water for whatever reason.
 
1 3/4 lbs this week and my hips are bigger. she thinks i might be plateauing and if i get a similar result next week she says i will have to come off the diet for a week.
 
That's still a good loss. Well done. Not sure I'd agree on having a week off maybe just a day or 2 if needed. Seems to have worked for me. How much more do you have to lose? X

She actually said a week or two! i dont think I will be doing that. ive my school reunion dinner Saturday night so i might have a planned drink at that but have a small protein based meal. I've 11 lbs left to lose by her scales, 10 by my own.
 
That's crazy to suggest that!!! Yeah have the one night off and get straight back on. Good luck. X

Make sure you eat carbs the day before to bring you out of ketosis, speaking from experience you do not want to drink alcohol while in ketosisxx

Could be the gym??? How hard are you hitting it? I say that because you need glycogen to do cardio. You could do some light toning with the increase in protein.
 
I've been burning about 500 cals a day in the gym. I did lose 1.5 inches off my stomach last week. That was the only loss. My arms increased 0.5 inches too.
 
Are you on SS+? If so you will be placing your body under too much stress. You BMR will be about 1600 cals. SS and anything under 810 calories are not designed with any significant exercise in mind. You will get strung out, feel starving and will be catabolic (using your muscles for fuel) so will be weak as a kitten.

I'm not saying don't go the gym. I love the gym, but I know that I can't burn 500cals at the gym (about 1- 2 hours work depending on what you are doing) and feel ok on anything less than a step 3 type plan.

You could up the cals or decrease the session?

Btw lb of muscle is much smaller and denser than 1lb of fat which could be why your shape is changing and your weight staying the same
 
I've been absolutely starving for the last few days alright. I knocked the gym on the head for a few days starting yesterday as I was tired too. Was going to bed at 9.30 and falling asleep straight away. My concentration at work was also shot like the first week of the diet. I'm going away (home) for the weekend so won't be near a gym but I'm not in a hotel or anything so I can work away with the shakes and bars and see what this week brings. Yes I'm SS+ btw. I'd like to stay on it for another few weeks and just shift those final 10 lbs before I move up the steps. I'm in no rush to finish Cambridge though so I'll happily take my time going up through the steps. I could see myself using the bars / tetras long term for the odd meal repalcement. I was even thinking in the car this morning could I do the 5:2 diet long term having Cambridge products two days a week?
