Cambridge Diet Slimming Buddy

Hi!
New to this website and am after a diet buddy :)
After putting on nearly 3 stone this past year I've decided enough is enough! Tipping the scales at nearly 16stone, now is the time for change. I need someone to help me along though!
I'm 20 years old, training to be a midwife and am booking in to see a consultant about the Cambridge diet!
It anyone has any tips all are welcome :)

Hi Hayley, welcome to Mini's. You should be able to lose your 3 stones fairly quickly with Cambridge and once you get past the first few days you should find it relatively easy. I am nearing goal so not ideal as a buddy, but I am sure you will have plenty of volunteers from people starting out.

You have come to the right place for tips - the people on here are great and wonderful support.

I will be seeing my consultant today and will get started tomorrow. I would love to pair up so that we can motivate each other.

I'm also starting at about 14 stones with 3-3.5 stones to lose.

This weight loss journey would be challenging however I am very determined and I am ready to support you every step of the way

Good luck. You'll have 3 stone off in no time. Just get passed the first 10 days and you'll be fine. Can't be that bad as I'm on the last day of week 13 :) x

As other people have said, once your past the first week it's easy! Once you see the loss from the first week you will be motivated to carry on. I did the diet 2 years ago and lost 13kg!!! It stayed off for a quite while, sadly I had medical issues and had to put weight back on to do tests etc, then had family dramas so the weight stayed on! So here I am back again!!
think positive, and remember that if your struggling don't fall off the wagon and eat rubbish have a small piece of chicken or fish.
 
Hi Hayley - hope things are going well for you. No doubt you will have been told to drink plenty of water - I find it really hard to do, especially when I am at work or driving somewhere and don't want to be in the loo every five minutes, but it really does work.

I started mine today, I have over six stone to lose, so far today its been ok, a bit of headache and hunger, am on sole source
 
Hi. I'm on week 2, and have around 6 stone to lose. Everyone is right, the diet feels really easy now, and I am noticing my body shrinking so that is motivating me to stick with it. Good luck for your first week!
 
Nice to hear from so many of you!
End of day 3 and am so shocked! No hunger at all, not gonna lie I'm thinking about food but not from hunger!
Occasional headaches but nothing serious!
Feeling so positive :D getting weighed Friday so we'll see if I've lost anything!
Turns out I'm starting at 15st 5lbs and want to get down to 10st 7lbs so quite a way to go, fingers crossed! X

I am just on day 4 with my first weigh in thurs eve
I havent found it too bad so far - like you a bit of a headache but was expecting worse.
I have craved some foods but out if habit rather than hunger
Just taking each day at a time, got around 4.5 stone to lose overall
Keep at it we can do it! x
 
Hi again. I'm on very similar stats to you, so it will be interesting to compare how we do. I started on 15 stone 11lb and also want to get down to 10 stoneish, but I'd be happy with anywhere under 11 I think.
I've just had my 2nd week weigh in and so far I've lost 10 pounds!! I'm over the moon! I have had moments of doubt on this diet when the scales didn't go down, but now I'm convinced it works. We just have to stick at it and be patient :) I found the first week the hardest, probably days 4,5 and 6 were the hardest, but after that it's been easy, apart from a bit of hunger and the odd craving, but you get that on any diet. However this one it's really worth it because it works so quickly! Good luck and keep going!
 
Hello everybody, it's my first day on the CD, I'm a newbie to all of this and am on Step 2, so 3 packs a day and a small meal. I'm struggling a bit as I'm really hungover from my last hurrah meal and have already screwed up :/

But it's so good to see people here and we can give each other mutual support - I'm 15 stone 5lbs and 5 ft 6" ... My target weight is 12 stone, seems like such a long way to go! But looking forward to getting off some bulk in time for summer :)

Hi Hayley, I'm on my 4th day of cambridge weight plan :D finding it quite easy with no headaches or food cravings, hunger pangs etc. hopefully we can all stick it out for the 12 weeks! I'm on sole source so no meal for me! My sister is on SS+
I'm 15st 2lbs so have 5 stone to loose... Hoping to get 3 stone off by the time I go to Glastonbury festival!!!! :D

Today is my 4th day and havent cheated, it went really well to be honest. Was dreading day 3 and 4, Day 3 was bad but today I didn't actually feel hungry. Am on sole source as well but I eat 4 packs due to weight. I weigh 20 stone but only looking to shift about 6 stone due to my muscle density. I hope I can make it all the way
 
Hi everyone. To you guys on your 4th day, I found that the hardest day, so if you have got through day 4, well done. Keep going because after day 6 it really is plain sailing. I have no headaches or anything now. Only issues are feeling peckish and cravings, but drinking water or tea usually helps that. Oh and Pollaay, I want to get 4 stone off for bloodstock festival :) I'd love to go to Glastonbury one day, you must be so excited! I've lost 10lb already in 2 weeks so I think it's totally possible! Good luck everyone!

Well day 5 has definitely been the hardest! Up until now I haven't craved anything/felt majorly hungry but today these feelings were definitely there!
Stuck to it though and just gulped water! On sole source incase anyone was wondering!
Get weighed and measured on Friday so will let you know how I get on :D

Day 5 was my worst day too plus day 10 for some reason. Stick to it, only 2 more days to your weigh in and then the loss alone will spur you on. X

Hi Hayley. Seems like we started on the same day!! Yesterday was day 5 for me and I also struggled so much I had to text my consultant who motivated me. I also didn't have any cravings or much hunger pains until yesterday :(

But we can do it!! The weight will just drop off soon. Not long left to go before we're done !!

I had to have mine on day 4 as my consultant is travelling for the week. I actually lost 8lbs!!
Start weight: 13 stones 12lbs
Day 4: 13 stones 4lbs

Wow 8lb in 4 days dreamchaser! That's amazing you must be so chuffed! Lizwhite the hard days must happen in 5s, it was my day 15 today and for some reason I've struggled and feel really demotivated! Also gave in and had a piece of chocolate given to me by my housemate :( Oh well, onwards and upwards. It will be so worth it, just gotta remember that!
 
Definitely agree Selphie!! It has motivated me to keep going. All these temptations around me but I'm trying my best not to give in :( it's hard. Sometimes I wish I can have a nicely dressed salad or a packet of crisps :( but we all have to keep going !! I'm glad you picked yourself back up and kept going. That's the most important thing ! Well done x
