Step 1 Sole Source Put on weight?

As anyone unexplainably put on weight? I'm on week 3 and official weigh-in is tomorrow. My scales are showing a 2lb gain and TOM is not due. How can that even be possible? I have been 100% on shakes and soups with only 1 bar as a meal replacement eaten last Tuesday night after weigh-in.

This might sound a bit strange but are you constipated? If you're holding on to everything then that could explain why you've gained. Make sure you drinking your 4 pints of water too.

Thanks for your response. No, I don't seem to be. Am lucky enough to go every day!

The only thing I can think of is the oriental chilli soup which I find quite salty. (I don't add any salt). Do they contain a lot of salt?

I don't find that one salty but I guess it might depend on what you're used to. I don't think they contain an excessive amount of salt either. How much water are you drinking?

Ps lucky you, sometimes I go a bit too long without being able to go.

I'm drinking about 3 litres per day. I have the CWP app to track it.

It's a mystery!

It really is a mystery! That shouldn't happen! If you're doing your packs and drinking 3 litres a day then you should be home and hosed. Esp if it's not totm and you're going to the loo ok. Unless your metabolism has dropped for some reason. Your cc'd might suggest you pop up to the next step for a week just the give your body a kick. If you solve the mystery let us know!

Thank you I will. I still have until 5.45 tomorrow before weigh-in to try to drink as much as I can in the hope that it goes away! Yesterday I was reading -4lb of last weeks weight. Strange.

Weigh fluctuates naturally through out the week...there have been weeks when the scales say I have stayed the same even until the morning before my weigh in then I have it and I am 4lbs down. I weigh most days but it's only the official one I have with my consultant that I take seriously. Don't worry about it....just see how things are with your weigh in...you might be surprised! Remember weigh loss is a trend over a good week not daily...

Thank you Fay.

False alarm!!!! I lost 2 lbs this week. I really must stop weighing in at home!

Thanks everyone

Yay! I have to admit that I weigh at home midweek but don't compare with my cdc's scales. It's just nice to see of it's gone down!

Yay!!! :)

I should stop as well...mine has said I have put on 1-2lb all week :-( Even though I don't acknowledge it as a weigh in it does make me a tad grumpy sometimes if it's a 4-5 day run of not moving at all...I should try and follow my own advice!

That's how I get Fay, a bit grumpy (and worried) if the scales are not moving, or are moving the wrong direction. Going to try to give the self-weighing up for a week to see how I get on.

I'm on week 4 now so need to let the self-weighing go, as the diet is working!!!

Just reading this thread made me smile! I too can't help but weigh myself everyday. Sometimes twice a day. And my weight even fluctuated by 4lbs one day. Crazy! Why do we put ourselves through it?! I wish I could just sit tight for 'official' weigh in (with CDC) !!
