Hi,

I joined her a few years ago and fell off the wagon but here again to start the final weight loss journey. I gave up smoking two years ago, which is great for my health but the down side is that I piled on another two stone that I couldn't afford to!

So two years as a non-smoker under my belt and now going to tackle the weight.

Am currently weighing in at 17st 12lbs and looking to get to 9st 7lb by using the Cambridge Diet.

I plan to have two diets a day and a light evening meal until after Easter and then I will go onto sole source.

It's going to be a bumpy ride I know, but I hate being so large and want to do something about.

Thanks for listening.

Thanks Julie that's really kind of you to respond! As long as it's coming off it doesn't matter what the speed is. :)

Mabs, I've just started cambridge too! On 15/04/14. Really hope it all goes well for you!! X

I quit smoking 6 months ago and with no cigarettes to kerb my appetite I found myself putting on weight too so I feel your pain. I did Cd 2009 and went from a size 20 to a 10 in 5 months. Now a 14 so back on for a few months to lose that extra chunk!

Can't wait to hit the gym with new lungs and a new body!

hi LizzRob! Great weight loss from 20 to 10!! I'm really worried about 'baggy' skin after weight loss. I'm currently 18, wanting to be a 10/12....any thoughts?

I'm not gonna lie, it's gonna happen! The skin doesn't have the elasticity to follow the kind of weight loss cambridge sees.

The thing you need to focus on is that you can't see the lose skin when you're in size 10 jeans!

I hate my boobs and belly, they're like deflated balloons, BUT...I'd rather that, than be a size 20 any day!

Don't let what can be hidden or tucked in put you off hun!

Oh wow! That's actually really reassuring! I don't care what I look like underneath clothes at the moment, I just want to look good in clothes!

Mind you I bet as soon as I'm over the traumatic weight I'll shift all my anxieties and worries on to baggyness!

I'm hoping exercise will help and be a lot easier when I'm 2, 3, 4 stone lighter right?!

Weight loss does bring along new issues, but hey when you're in size 10 jeans who cares lol

It's the same with anything. It's about routine and continuation. If you incorporate the gym into your lifestyle, it will help. But it won't get rid of it all I'm afraid.

The other thing I remember is that I did this to myself. Years of over eating and i expect a supermodel body? Not a chance. This is just the repercussion from my decision.

Oh god you are do right....it's all my fault. My big cake eating face.

On the plus size I had a rake load of fun getting to my current size :)

Exactly. So acceptance is key here.

I have a c section scar from having my daughter, but is my war wound of what I went through to have her. My extra large belly is testimony to all the fun I've had eating crap food lol

That was fantastic to go from a 20 to a 10 and a 14 isn't large with not smoking as well! Best of luck and keep up the good work re the not smoking!

Re the loose skin? I plan to exercise lots, drink loads of water and moisturise madly. I hate being fat and really want to do this!:superwoman:

Thanks mabs!! :)

I guess it differs from person to person. I've heard of some people losing weight (ok only 2 or 3 stone) and the skin being fine, but I'm just not that lucky.
I do so much water it's a joke. Already had 2.5lr so far today lol
