Hi there.

I am on day 26 of sole source. I started at 13st2lb and am now 11st13lb.

I have not cheated (apart from one extra cambridge shake as I was desperado!!!) but I'm looking at the calendar thinking OMG I have to do this until 27th June and it just seems so far away.

Has anyone done the full 12 weeks on sole source? How did you find it? Did you have the odd cheat?

Thanks

Kerry :)

I'm on day 39 and am hoping to go all the way to 12 weeks.

Me too :) I'm on day 27 now. It just seems like a really long way off.

Do you have days where you are close to eating a family size pizza or is that just me?

What are your plans after the 12 weeks? Will you go to step 2? I know some people do step two for a week and then go back on sole source. I'm just going to go on step two and stay on step two! I can't wait to be able to eat an actual meal.

I'm honestly not sure what I will do. I gather it's difficult to go back down a step once you ed moved up. So it depends what weight I'm at and what my consultant says.

I can't imagine going up to step two and being able to eat a proper meal and then going back to just shakes/soups. I can't wait to get to 12 weeks so I can have a bit of a treat!

You are nearly half way through step 1 so you should feel well chuffed with yourself! Your weightloss is great :)

Actually on reflection, I think I'd like to take my time on each step, re-educating myself about food at the same time.

I did 5 months on SS in 2009. The idea of food being added back then freaked me out, now, not so much. I don't have half as much to lose and I'm already feeling more positive about my relationship with food and how to proceed post plan.
12 weeks was tough. But it worked.

Wow! How did you cope with 5 months on ss!? That's amazing. I'm on day 28 and I do struggle at times.

I can see why it's important to stick to the steps. If I reached goal and was left to my own devices, the weight would creep back on in no time!

How much did you lose over 12 weeks? My start weight was 13.2 and my end goal is 9.6 although I have set a mini goal of 10.6

My weigh in day is a Wednesday and I was 11.13 last week :) I have gone down to a size 14 too. I was a 16-18 before.

Thanks for your advice!

I was dedicated to the cause.

I lost 5 stone in 5 months so probably 3 stone in 12 weeks? I didn't cheat or even contemplate cheating, I just kept my eye on the prize.

It's hard work but the rewards are amazing so it's worth staying on.

Well done on such a great loss. I moved up to step two cos I found I was cheating all the time on ss. Now on step 2 I don't cheat at all and have no cravings. Im not sure if the losses are any different so I figure why deprive yourself for not much difference. I guess it's about finding tje right step for you and sticking to it

Total loss = 26lbs

How much do you lose on average a week doing the step 2? 28th June I can start step 2. Can't wait to get some real grub in my belly lol

Haven't done a full week on step two yet but so far I have lost about 6 lbs this week so can't be bad....

Total loss = 26lbs

I lost 6lb my first week on ss! If you can lose that much on step 2 then bring it on!!!! Well done you. Maybe I need to speak to my consultant about moving up a step...

Yeah have a word. My consultant said most of the people she has had that have done well have started on step 2. I think everyone likes to do ss cos it's drastic and they want big losses but it is hard going and some ppl develop a bad relationship with it. On ss I would binge and I think that's partly because I wasn't having any food.

Total loss = 26lbs
