Hello, I'm a Newbie :)

Just thought I'd say hello. I'm on Day 4 of Cambridge and yesterday was a tough day. So nearly stuck my head in our goody cupboard and inhaled. But I didn't, and I'm finding today easier. I'm doing SS, and hoping to lose around 4 1/2 stone. Looking forward to talking to you all :) xx

Morning!

Welcome! I am on my 5th day today, and similar to you I found yesterday hard work. I seem to cope well during the week, but find weekends a struggle. I have a 3 year old so the extra energy of pleasing an active 3 year old and preparing food for him just seems to make my tummy rumble that bit more!

Have you had any positive side effects? Before starting on Wednesday last week I was feeling very lethargic with no umph to do anything much, but found from day 2 that I had bursts of energy that motivated me to move and walk more! I hope you're experiencing some good vibes?

When do you get weighed? I'm excited for my weigh in day! I actually downloaded the 'weight record' from the forum and have been filling it in so that my weight can be recorded as I lose the weight.

Do you have a special event that you're aiming for?

welcome on board hun and well done for getting through the first 3 days! The 2nd week is usually a little tricky (as it dawns on you that you really arent going to be eating lol) but the results push you through! :)

Hi Emma, No positive side effects as yet. Although I have 5 boys so I'm always on the go LOL. I found the weekend tough but not too tough, my Husband kept me on the straight and narrow. I don't want him to catch me cheating ;) So I have a feeling it may be during the week that I find it difficult, like you I have a little one (he's 2) so will be doing him little dinners and then of course the main family meal at night. My weigh in day is a Thursday, but I'm being a little naughty and standing on the scales every other day ;) I'll stop doing that after the first few weeks though when I know it's working LOL. No specific event really, just doing it because I'm fed up of wearing horrid baggy clothes to hide myself and to be healthier for my children :) How are you doing? xx

I think I've found my stride now, it's been a tough but manageable weekend. Like you say, I stood on the scales this morning and have been totally spurred on x

Hi Hothmog, we are the same height and have the same goal weight. I am now only 6lbs from goal! It's the final push and then maintenance calls. Keep going, it's so worth it!
