    no loss in 5 days

I am on week two of sole source +. Only lost 5 lbs in my first week and I've now been stuck for 5 days. I am drinking 2.5-3 litres of water. I'm sticking to it 100% and have 6 stone to lose. What on earth is happening? Why am I not losing? Gutted, disheartened and feeling utterly starving and miserable. Help!

Oh you poor love. How blooming disheartening! I don't really have any advice but could see you have had 50+ views on your post but no replies & couldn't bear the thought of scrolling past!

When I did Cambridge before I did have some weeks where I would either lose a pound or stay the same, then the following week I would have a mega loss. Although you've not had a loss in pounds this week, maybe you've lost inches? Also, I think my first week loss was about 5lb first time around - not everyone has a jawdropping initial loss. Fundamentally, if you are sticking to it 100% the scales will move eventually.

I think the best advice is to speak to your CDC. Big hugs

Re-starting the Cambridge Diet 20/05/2014. Maintained a 79lb loss for 5 years 2007-2012. Returning now after 2 years of ill health resulting in the return of many, many pounds!!

5 pounds is great for the first week, that's what I lost!
Not sure why the scales aren't moving but try no to weigh yourself at home only when you see your CDC, her scales might be different xx

Same here I lost 5lbs the first week and have had several times when the scales haven't moved but my body shape has changed. Don't be obsessive about the scales. They will go down as long as you stick to the diet. If you stick to the diet that in itself is an achievement. Also please measure yourself or ask your CDC to do it for you. You'll be amazed at the differences you will still have even when the scales aren't moving. Good luck and keep going!

Do the diet 100% and it cannot medically fail!!! I lost 6lbs in my first week but then i lost inches too!

Get your CDC to measure you and track both each week. and dont weigh in at home! Keep the liquid intake up, make sure you have all your products too
    Week 1 - 5: -22lbs and -15.5 inches
    week 6 - 10: -11lbs and -12 inches
week 11: -6lbs (new measurements taken)
    week 12: -2lbs and -3.75 inches
    week 13: -2lbs and -3.25 inches
week 14: STS and -3 inches.
    Week 15: -0.5lb and -2.5inches. I don't get it

Total Loss: 43.5lbs and 40 inches

Thank you everyone. I have finally lost one measley pound more. My consultant isn't great at advising. I really need to lose a stone in 3 weeks but I now doubt this is possible. Still sticking to it completely.

I have a three course meal in 2 weeks which I can't really change. I'm now scared to eat. Will I put on a crazy amount of weight from one meal. I won't eat huge portions.

I had a seven course tasting menu for my anniversary the other night. I just didn't have the carbs. I haven't put on a lb! Not that I'd eat like that often but it's important you don't fill yourself with carbs and have to go through the low carb flu!

That's good to know. Not sure it'll be easy just to have no carbs in a three course set dinner though. I will certainly try!

You don't have to eat everything on your late. Select the meat/fish and the veg/salad and that's fine.
You could lose inches and no pounds on the scale so don't worry about the scale

I'm doing SS+ too, although am on day 3 so a bit behind you.

The way I'm looking at it is that SS and SS+ (maybe others too, I don't know) provide fewer calories than your body uses in a day if it's just at rest. So *not* losing weight just isn't going to happen. It might not happen at a steady, consistent rate for lots of reasons, but it WILL happen.

I hope, anyway!! Fingers crossed you get some decent losses in the next week or two, to help motivate you to keep going.

Thanks Auburn. I'm away for a few days so can't weigh myself. Probably a good thing. Still sticking to it 100% but grumpy and starving today.

    I've been grumpy too.

Well. No. I have been *more* grumpy than usual.

Maybe because we don't have our usual food comfort to cheer us up? Learning to lift my mood without turning to crisps would be a huge thing for me!

Well I've finally lost a stone. Seems to be taking me longer than most but it's coming off slowly.

Congratulations!! I can't wait until I can say I've lost a stone. Maybe another fortnight. I tend to lose weight very slowly too, and although extreme stress and the worst heartbreak ever have helped this time, I'm not going to recommend them!!
