Hi Everyone
Started this 2 days ago now.

So far had the rice pudding, oriental chilli soup, plain porridge, choc orange shake.

Does anyone actually like these tastes? I'm really struggling and finding myself not wanting to eat or drink the products as they're so ...yacky!

Thanks

Hey Laura.

I lapsed into 2 shakes and 2 soups daily.

Chocolate, strawberry or banana shakes. And either mushroom or chicken & mushroom soups.

The rest I found bland. But I liked and enjoyed the ones above.

I can't stomach the shakes or soups n the rice pudding was just urghhh!! I have all tetras and a couple of bars!! I cudnt do this diet without them! xx

I got to the stage where I only had choc, mint choc or banana shakes and the lemon bars. Wouldn't touch anything else.

Phew! Thanks everyone :) I thought I'd never be able to carry on with it! I'm struggling today :( thinking to myself if it's possible to do this diet using food and sticking to the calories! I suppose until I carry on I won't know!

i love all of them!!! lol

i like chick and mush/oriental soups. Peanut and Mint bars. Shakes i like are butterscotch, cappuccino, strawberry, and banana and if you make them with loads of crushed ice its like ice cream.

i add herbs and spices to things as well for a change to the norm :)

I struggled with nearly everything on Cambridge with the exception of the Chocolate or Strawberry shakes and the Chicken soups. That said I have friends who have loved most of them so I wondered if I was just fussy.

I always enjoyed the shakes much more when I out them in the blender with some ice xx

I struggled with the porridges the first couple of days but I am used to them now. And mostly all the cambridge products taste powdery in the beginning. For breakfast I tend to have an original porridge or choc shake made with hot water or a vanilla shake with a tsp of coffee in, makes a lovely latte! Then I usually have a shake for lunch, banana, strawberry or butterscotch. If I'm at home I'll always use the liquidiser to make it nice and thick and also throw in some ice cubes too. Then I always have soup in the evening, oriental chilli is my favourite but I also have chicken and mushroom and vegetable. I enjoy all these flavours so hope this helps! I also drink lots in between 'meals'. I recently bought the vegetable water flavouring which is like drinking broth, it's yummy! The summer berry water flavouring is lovely too, add it to sparkling water and it's just like having a yummy fizzy drink! Hope this helps! Stick too it. I really believe you just adjust to the tastes! X

It's my first week and I chose 21 packets of choc mint shakes, as I find it easier to eliminate choice if that makes sense!

It would have been a disaster had I not liked this particular flavour, but thankfully I absolutely love it! I love both the taste and the texture, warm and cold :)

Thanks everyone again! Love the choc mint. I would drunk that regardless if diet so that's a plus. Had vegetable soup for lunch. That was ok. Powdery but reminded me of a cuppa soup. Can't get the hang of doing my soups. They're all lukewarm when I eat them :( can't get my hot/cold water measures right.

Sneakily weighed myself today and I'm 2lb down so that's motivated me.

Water though! I can get through 2.5 litres a day. I can't find the time to do all this drinking while trying to teach a class of 30. 6 year olds! I feel sympathy for their toilet needs constantly!!

I know you're not supposed to use boiled water in the soups but I do! Or I leave the kettle to cool for a while. I put the water in the bowl then add the soup and then use my hand blender. If it's too hot then sometimes I add a bit of cold water. I find it hard to drink too as I work long days on a busy maternity ward. I try to down 750mls of water on coffee break and on my lunch but like you I'm always needing the toilet! Must be hard as a teacher as you can't keep leaving the room! X

I've just started CP and got a selection of most of the soups and shakes to try. I also tried the rice pudding which was interesting, tasted better with some cinnamon added. My favourite soup so far is the oriental soup, I even out in it a bowl to make it feel like a meal, not a cup-a-soup! I've been doing the same and boiling the kettle then letting it cool down for 5 mins or so, I don't think I could 'eat' a soup that wasn't hot!

I found the porridge vile, I was pretty distressed by it. However, I like most of the sachet shakes and love choc mint. I adore the choc tetra and the others are pretty nice too. Soup-wise, I have veg, oriental or chicken mushroom. I like the lemon bar and just discovered the peanut bar which I think is delicious. There's usually something you can palate.

Gosh, I absolutely LOVE the products I have. Last year, when it came off the diet, I really missed the products! I have just gone back on it 10 days ago and always have a lemon yoghurt bar for breakfast (delicious), i make either strawberry, vanilla or butterscotch mousse for lunch then have apple and cinnamon porridge for tea. I genuinely love all these, I feel very lucky.

I think I'm one of the lucky ones too. I genuinely like pretty much everything. Only the mango shake, vegetable and tomato soups are truly horrible to me. Everything else is good.

I love the porridge post-diet with mixed berries for breakfast. It's lush! I'll be keeping some products going longer term through maintenance. The bars for example I'm happy eating as I know they aren't just empty calories!

Current loss: 28lbs and 21inches
