Have lost the will :(

I have lost six stones so far on the sole source and have another 2 and half stone or so to lose to reach my target.

But I've lost the will and this is mainly due to stumbling across other problems other than weight such as mild loose skin on my arms, belly and big wobbly thighs.

I honestly thought that all of this would have disappeared once I lost weight but my body has worsened.

All of this is bothering me because I'm due to get married next month and I don't think I can expose this hideous atrocity to anyone.

I'm trying to work on tightening my body through non surgical treatments which is working out to be very expensive but I need to and want to lose this damn 2 stones by the 23rd of Aug but I'm emotionally and mentally drained and can't seem to focus.

oh hun

you sound like your beating yourself up over this! well don't!! i think overcoming that last hurdle is the hardest, and you've done amazing so far!

when you are in your beautiful wedding dress and stood infront of the love of your life, believe me you ain't gonna give a crap about ur "loose skin" and you will look and feel AMAZING!!!

Keep at it, your so close :0) xxx

We all (men too but mostly women!) have things about our bodies that we don't like. That we would rather hide or disguise or replace with whole new bits if we could!

When I got married like everyone I wanted to look beautiful but still like me. I have always had a bit of a pot belly and large arms so I chose a dress that would flatter me as best as possible. It skimmed over my tummy and I had a little wrap to wear if I felt I needed it to cover my arms. My super slim friend hates that she doesn't have any boobs so she was really self conscious about looking flat in her wedding dress!

Take your time choosing your dress and accessories so that you feel amazing!

You have done amazingly well. I hope you know that we all have hang ups and we all have to work around them in our heads. You will look absolutely amazing on your wedding day because you will look good, feel good and be so incredibly happy!

Sorry if this had been a bit rambling but having a wobbly bit or two just makes you like the rest of us, slightly self conscious but no less wonderful!

Xxx

We all have these wobbly bits as said above.x. you will look fantastic on your big day hun and im sure your man and family are so proud of how well you have done.xx.

Just keep tyring to think of the positives sweet, look how well you have done so far! When you are all done up you will feel totally beautiful on your big day!

I brought an at home wrap kit from a company for just under £40 (I dont know if we are allowed to mention companies one here! Anyone know??!) I didnt think it would work but thought I would give it a shot.

Its really good for smoothing and slimming. It says they last as long as you eat healthy and drink enough, dont know how much of that is true but it could help for the day of your wedding.

I havent used it since starting Cambridge and I was eating rubbish when I first tried it so mine didnt last longer than a few days!
My first wrap I lost 3inches from my waist, 3inches frm my hips and 2inches from my bust!

Thank you ladies for the lovely words and encouragement.

I wish I could take your words in and accept them but I am really struggling. The wedding is very close and I'm petrified.

I'm so sad about this that I can't even enjoy the process. I'm trying to fight these thoughts but it's overpowering me. I'm so hideous that im ashamed to show my body to own family and shopping for the wedding dress has been nothing but a nightmare and just ends in me breaking down.

My family are so excited for me but I don't think I can through with it.

Hi Needtheoldmeback,
I am sorry that you feel so down. I honestly think it's not just your weight loss that's getting you down but other things as well. I put the following things to you:
1. Your partner loves you, that first and foremost is the most important thing
2. Like others have said, you have done so well, please do not undo your hard work, you are nearly there
3. You may be feeling down but I guarantee that jeopardising this will probably only make you feel worse
4. Self - sabotage is a b***** . Don't be your worst enemy.
5. You being at healthy weight and living longer for your marriage is more important
6. Your body is still recovering so it may not look the way you want it to but it will improve

Excuse my lecture and I may not know you personally but I feel that it's important to let you know- hang in there.

Try not to worry but it's normal to worry on the run up to an event like this. Usually what we see isn't what everyone else sees xx

Can you tell me the name of the body wraps you use?

Thank you ladies for your lovely words. It's highly appreciated. Xxx
