    Week 1 on Cambridge diet.

    Hi, I'm new to this and after a bit of advice please. I've been on step 2 for just under a week now (as advised by my consultant) and not doing too badly. No cheats or anything I'm not even hungry. The problem I'm having is I'm struggling to have all my shakes or bars. I just can't seem to stomach them. The thought of eating/drinking anything makes my tummy churn. Is it normal to feel like this? Two days now I've had a nibble of my bar and felt ill so not ended up having it. I've already had my consultant out to change some products so I don't want to keep dragging her out lol.
    I'm due to be weighed Wednesday morning, I'm feeling pretty positive just need to get over this little hurdle.

    Any help would be great.

    I don't know in afraid as I love the products.

    I have the chilli soup, the banana/butterscotch/cappuccino shakes, the mint/peanut bars and I love them all if that helps for recommendations. The cappuccino shake with some flavoured coffee is amazing, better than Starbucks
    Week 1 - 5: -22lbs and -15.5 inches
    week 6 - 10: -11lbs and -12 inches
    week 11: -6lbs (new measurements taken)
    week 12: -2lbs and -3.75 inches
    week 13: -2lbs and -3.25 inches
    week 14: STS and -3 inches.
    Week 15: -0.5lb and -2.5inches. I don't get it

    Total Loss: 43.5lbs and 40 inches

    I was step 2. Didn't feel hungry etc. but you've got to have your products if you don't your body won't get the nutrition it needs and you'll go into starvation mode. Try to make sure you have your products before you have your meal so that if you can't get something in you at least nutritionally you're ok and you can pick at your meal.

    If you continue skipping products your weightloss will be due to starving and you will struggle to maintain and your body will hold on to all of the food you start to put into it.

    I've done step 2 from the start too. I only have the choc mint shake, that's it, no bars or other flavours but just the choc mint shake which I absolutely love. I've had 3 a day for 7 weeks now lol!

    I hope you find some you like anyway, sorry I can't recommend others though!
    10th June - start weight 14 st 5 1/4 lb Step 2 810 cals

    Week 1: 5 1/2 lb loss

    Weeks 2, 3 & 4: 10 3/4 lb loss

    Weeks 5, 6 & 7: 10 1/2 lb loss

    Wk 8

    27.25 lb loss so far

    Thanks for your advice. I think it will be plain chocolate shakes 3 a day from now on. I seem to be able to get them down and stomach them. Just worry it will get too boring. I've managed to force down a bar today and I only need to get through to Wednesday when I see my cc and get next products really hadn't intended to not have them I just couldn't finish them. Hopefully next week will be easier.

    Hi jackie. I didn't mean it to sound like I was telling you off. I just don't want you to get ill. I hope you find something's you like. Live tried them all so tell me some of the things you like in real world food and I'll let you know if any Cambridge stuff comes close. So for example the cappuccino shake made with ice is like a Starbucks frappuccino and the mango one in the same way is like a lassi.

    What's flavoured coffee? I'll try that. It's strange as the two bars I couldn't cope with were the mint and peanut yet two days earlier I had my cc out to swap my bars all to those lol. Same with shakes liked the cappuccino but them couldn't stand it the next time. Very bizarre. X

    You can get flavoured coffees or spices (like ginger or nutmeg or cinnamon) and add them to vanilla or cappuccino or choc shakes too. Make them taste like Xmas! I always got a selection of things and slightly more than I needed for the week just in case I couldn't stand the thought of something that I was left with. For example at first I loved the oriental chilli soup but then half way through I went off it completely. Luckily I had some other things in to cover me until I could swap.

    That's fine you are right. I'll try that with the cappuccino tomorrow. I'm really fussy with flavours so I'm probably best to stick to what I know I can cope with lol. I did try the rice pudding today and found that bareable too. Thanks for your help x

    I only just saw this lol.
    I didn't know you could add things like that to the shakes. I thought I would like the tomato soup and tried the first day. Vile! So it seems to have put me off the soups altogether which is a shame. My cc didn't seem overly keen on me having any more products than I needed until she came again. But she was fine about coming back to change them. It's really difficult to know what's best.

    Oh you can add all sorts of things. The tom soup is hideous. I haven't come across anyone who likes it. My CDC won't even stock it!

    It's you that's on the diet ask her if having a few spares would be ok just incase you're struggling. I'm sure if you explain it she should be supportive!

    Can I add vanilla essence to the rice pudding do u know? I'm now on ss+ for the week. See how I get on. Had my first weigh in too lost 13 lb and 8 and half inches all over. Gotta say I'm pretty chuffed with that 😊 x

    That a fantastic loss well done. Vanilla extract is ok but essence tends to be sweetened.
