There are loads of people on here who lose loads of weight on Cambridge. If you have a look at one of the thread above with all the inspirational photos if really does show you what some people lose. There is a real range between a couple of stone to well in excess of 10 stone.

Did you start? Good luck with it, it is horrible the first few days but just power through it and then it is fine.

Ring up your counsellor and they will probably start you on a higher step, and to be honest on step 1 and 2 there isn't much differences in losses, and if you start higher it is a good stepping stone and makes the carb withdrawal a little better.

I am sure they can work around the doctors note for a few weeks. You might even find you like the higher step.

Hi Lisa, I am doing cd and have started on step 3. I have done every diet going including lighterlife and cambridge ss+ (last year). So this time, I felt like although I needed a break from food, I also need to keep food in my life. I have lost 6lb in 2 week which I know is not as good as total abstinence but as long as it is coming off is all that matters to me.

If you need to talk let me know as I am in the same boat with over 10 stone to lose x x

I'm on step 2 started 3 days ago and lost 4lbs so far as my consultant wanted to weigh me a bit more first 2 weeks to keep me motivated!

She didn't have to get anything signed by my doctors?

My BMI is high which is why she put me on step 2 and I'm so glad, knowing I have a meal to have in the evening spurs me on and I enjoy it so much!!

    Good luck to you all!
Maybe be buddies haha I've done a little diary on here as I find I post and never gets replies diary is a good way just to offload as my partner doesn't know as of yet I'm on this and will have lots if critical things to say, only my work friends know as they've had to put up with my moods while they're scoffing the daily muffins and cookies management buy!
