200 pounds to shift...here we go!

Hello all you lovely CD ladies and gentlemen!

I will be starting a weekly (or more often when I'm struggling!) diary of my CD weight loss journey. I am hoping that by reporting in every week, and being held accountable to someone beside myself, I will be more successful.

A bit about me...I'm Victoria, 24, a student, wow, my life is not very exciting. I'm starting SS on Monday at about 25st10lbs (I will report in with an exact weight Monday morning).

Anyway, I've read other people's diaries and they have inspired me, so I thought I would give it a go. I'm always looking for buddies, support, inspiration, chatting, whatever, so let's talk! I also find that I get really emotional about my weight and that the wonderful people here understand what we all are going through, so I hope that we can keep having a great support system here.

Good luck, stay strong, you deserve this!!

    xx Victoria

PS. Cause I haven't figured out this signature business yet, bear with me

    Hello

This is my first ever message on here, I'm a newbie! I'm aged 27 and currently wear a size 24.

Like you I've been inspired by everyone on this forum and booked my first meeting with my CDC for next Weds!

I have a lot to lose as well, i weigh approx 21 stone it's quite daunting isn't it and I'm terrified I'm not going to be able to cope during those first few days! However failure is NOT an option this time! I need to do this!!!

I have been told previously that if your BMI is over 40 you have to start on Step 2, have you heard this?

Good luck for Monday, I would love to hear about your first meeting with your CDC.

Good luck to both of you just starting, the boards are very friendly with lots of advice should you need it but also a fab place just to ramble with your feelings and thoughts.

The great thing is the results are fab and the changes come fast.

I'm currently on Day 5 of SS and already feel so much better.

    Good luck with the plan,

There is a diary section should you wish to post a diary in there x x x

Thanks both! I'm quite nervous but excited as well, think its just the anticipation of it, want to get the ball rolling now! I think I will find the weekends the worst, already worrying about dodging any social events!!!

Social events are always the hardest but I avoid everything I can without feeling to deprived as I try to think how much better I will feel at such events once I've lost a few stone and I would much rather go then than now if that makes sense.
In saying that I have a few " planned breaks " which are more than acceptable whilst on plan, we are all human and need to still live and prepare ourselves for such events.
I bet you can't wait for Monday, once it was in my mind I started within a few days like yourself and its the best thing I've done for a long time x x x

Thanks Angel, I think I will be like you and try to avoid any meals out as much as I can. I'm planning to stay as close to 100% until near Xmas and have a sensible break then and then get back into the zone after Xmas.
Good luck with your first weigh in, it must be very exciting! Have a great weekend xx

Good luck both of you - I am a restarted but have masses to lose as well - however, once it starts to come off its surprising how fast it goes.

    Hi!

    You can totally do this.
I started on STEP 3 in January because of my high BMI, weighing 22 stone 10.
9 months later and I'm now 14 stone 5 .... still going strong! I will hopefully be at target by Christmas.

Cambridge totally works. I feel amazing, and i'm sooo excited for you, it's not gonna be easy, but you WILL get there.
Good luck and keep us all posted

Wow Laura, that is amazing! You look fab! Well done you. Its so nice to hear from others in a similar situation. Will be looking forward to the girl who started this thread letting us know how she got on, hope she comes back
Yep Katie I'm under no illusions that this is gonna be tough, especially at first! To make matters worse I have a meal to go to on Saturday and I can't get out of it first bloody weekend on Cambridge and I have to navigate that obstacle! X
