Hi Guys,
I'm starting my Cambridge Diet tomorrow!!! Yeyyyyy*
I'm at a point where I really need to lose weight and I'm fed up of feeling like crap!!! I'm doing this 'FOR ME' & as much as i act confident i'm just hiding behind my big Fat self!!! After reading such great posts on how others have lost weight and there experience's I feel hopeful about my own journey which starts tomorrow.*
My CD consultant lost 7 stone in 5 months on the CD and has kept the weight off for 13 years! How great is that!*
I want to use this as a dairy that hopefully will help me keep on track and help others who may also be starting the CD.
Please do join in my post so that we can motivate one another as I think this will be key to our success.*
I will have my first weigh in tomorrow along with measurements.*
I'll post all details tomorrow and fingers cross get through the first few days as iv heard they are the most difficult*

Hi Mya,

Thanks for your comments really appreciate it.
I was also really excited to see someone had read my post and even more delighted that you took the time out to post bk.

I met my consultant and got everything measured and weighed!
I'm 19 stone and I have a lot to lose I'm 5'6 and my goal at the moment is to reach 17 stone by early Feb!

I know this sounds crazy but I started today with a big fat choc fudge cake!
I know it sounds terrible but it was in my fridge and I thought if I don't eat it ill be thinking about it all day and I really don't want to be thinking like that when this is a long term thing.
I think losing the weight doesn't scare me it's more maintaining what I 'lose' off!
Anyhow after the cake incident I felt ready for the challenge 'phew' off my chest lol it had to be done...
Funny enough I didn't feel hungry after that and I don't know I kind of wasn't thinking about food! Maybe because I knew it's the packets only from now on lol but yeah definitely didn't have food on my mind which was good!

6 hrs later I decided ill have potato and leek soup as I love mash potato and this seemed closer to what I had in mind.
It was okay to start off with but towards the end I was kinda struggling to finish it off. I hope this isn't the case with the other stuff as it feels limited as it is in terms of food choices. Well compared to old eating habits.

It would be interesting to know what's your favourite and how your coping?
Is it just initial shock to the system or does it get more difficult???

I'll be bk in a day or two with a update on how things are going.

Can't wait to feel the pounds coming off...

I think I'll have choc mint 'hot chocolate' style just before bed time to keep hunger pangs away.

Tomorrow onwards ill be strictly 3 shake/soup day

Iv heard if your on 3 shakes a day you lose more than mixing the day with a soup?
Is this true???

Sleep tight

X

That's not true. 3 bars in a day would slow you down only so its not recommended. No difference between the soups and shakes. You should read up much as you can about the diet. It will help you to keep focus and away from the carbs.

Hiii

How r u? Well done you've taken the inital step and it will all be onwards and upwards from now... so firstly no worries about me replying lol i know the feeling and love it when someone replies to me and helps me through. ..
2. I did the same ate all my faves the night before and got it out of my system.. so each to thr own.. im with u on that one lol
3. My weakness is carbs! I mean all carbs! Mash is my fave lol and to be honest im coping fine.. 5th week and lost more thn what i had hoped for so im chuffed.. and i think with this plan and the restriction it will help take away my carb addiction!
4. First week you may find a little tough as its something new for your body and a shock from old eating habits but honestly stick to it and after week 1 it will just become routine.
5. Like the lady said this is not true about soups... its only the bars which may slow ur loss down
6. I know this should be number 1 but got confused lol but if u stick to it you should manage a stone or more a month and as u have more to lose the weight will come off quicker thn someone hu has less to lose... so i think most definitely you will be below 17st in feb!:)

Good luck hun and i will try my best to always reply and keep u updated and hope to hear from u anytime u need a chat...

Sleep well and hope I've answered your questions?

Night night x

Hi Guys,

Thank you for the feedback on the soup question...

Really appreciate your reply Mya, Thank you hun :)

I'm finding today a bit of a struggle to be honest :(
Feeling hungry lol

I will stick it out but I know this sounds terrible but I don't think I can do this long term.
The liquid food is the issue I just know that it will be be difficult to maintain after weigh loss.

I'm looking into Actidiet which has the same results with more wholesome food and free of aspartame which is in all the CB food.

Let me know what you think? Good idea?

Hey

How are u doing? I know it seems tough as its ur first few days but i promisw it gets easier... and i knw many people who have done cwp and maintained the weight... you can also read the maintenance thread on here... if you are finding it too difficult then i think you should try sole source plus... that way you can have a grilled chicken or something in the evening or for lunch? You can do it... just imagine come February how u will feel a few stones lighter.... wish u luck and let us know how u get on or what u decide x

That's quitting talk. This diet is fast and it works in 100% of cases when followed correctly. It also gets so much easier after day 10. Still with it and it will be a small 3 months out of your life to a total transformation.

Stick with it this is day 5 for me and I'm already noticing my belly ain't as bloated it isn't easy like any diet but you get fast results if you stick with it xx

Hi Guys,

Hope your all well!

Sorry for the late reply I appreciate your feedback on my last post ;)
Iv decided ill give the other vlcd diet a go and please don't think I'm quitting because that's so not the case.
Iv lost 5lbs and on my 5th day so of course Cambridge works but for me I just can't take the liquid breakfast lunch dinner thing :(
I'll keep you posted ;)

Why not just go up to ss+ from what I've heard weight loss is around the same as ss but u can have milk and a small meal?
All the best whatever u decide but it doesn't matter what diet u do all diets are hard if they were easy then none of us would be in this boat xx

Hi guys,
I know the porridge is my fave but I'm thinking long term and when you compare eating a meal on a strict calorie compared to dinner having porridge it's very difficult.
I struggle as it is being around a big family that love food and cook different things every day :( And they are all slim which makes it even more annoying!

I'm going to give this try and ill let you know how it goes.

Iv been eating fish and chicken with this sole source so it's it's actually ss+

I'm also ordered the slim now noodles which will be handy!

Touch base soon...

x
