Hi all

I'm new to this site and to Cambridge diet I am getting married in May so I'm hoping to seriously shift some lbs and hoping to find inspiration here and help from you all !!

hows Everyone else doing? I'm on day 1 and 2 products down !!! I had a warm choclate mint shake this morning which I really enjoyed and I've just had a toffee and walnut shake which I really disliked and only had a few sips was very hard to get anymore down!!

whats everyone else's fav shakes?

What at are your stories so far!!

thanks

Hi and welcome

You will defo shift loads b4 May it's a great diet for losing weight are you ss? I'm on week 3 but this is attempt number 3 after losing and regaining because I didn't follow the programme.
I practically live on choc mint my weekly order usually consists of 15 sachets lol can't stand any soups at all.
What's ur goal and start?
Good luck and stick with it it gets harder before it gets easy x

Thank you I mean I would really like to fit into a size 12 but my consultant says for a healthy bmi I should b around 11stone which means 5 stone to lose.

Day 1 has been hard especially as I have a bad cough and cold lol!! But I want to do this so bad!

How much have u lost so far?

I had a choc mint this morning hot was delicious lol

I am on Ss

I've lost 12lb in two weeks my 2nd weigh in was 4lb felt it should have been more but bloody totm and I ain't due it lol that's another thing with this diet it messes with ur cycle.
Well my aim is the same as yours a size 12 but will see how I feel mayby go to a 10 so Ive possibly got another 6 and a half stone to go god it sounds so daunting my first goal is my 30th in February I'm hoping to get to a 14.
Yeah I tried mostly everything when I first done the diet and some of it was nice but after a while they became harder and harder to swallow so always stuck to choc mint and cranberry bars I tried the apple and cinnamon porridge for the 1st time last week and enjoyed the taste and diff texture but learnt it neede a little more water for my liking

Hi and Welcome,

Its a great diet - challenging yes, but the rewards are worth it. If you can stick to SS you will be so pleased with the results. I hate the shakes - can just about manage the choc and the choc mint, but thats it, and even then I try and drink them so fast i can't taste them!! Its tough to start when you have a cold, make sure you drink plenty of water and keep busy. Good luck!

I like all of the shakes but I've gone to having just the Chocolate ones now hot in the evenings. Chocolate, Chocolate Orange and Chocolate Mint.

I have a bar for breakfast a soup for dinner and then my shake for tea. If we're off to the cinema on a Wednesday I have Porridge for Breakfast and save my bar to eat at the cinema.

I've completed 9 weeks and lost over 30lbs. I've had some meals out in this time as well, and some slower loss weeks than others!

Hey well it's day 3 now and I'm getting there I have hot choc shakes every morning and then choc mint for lunch and I have hot choc again I. The evenings
It's extremely difficult but it's for a good cause and I'm very determined I'm still struggling on what I should do over Xmas!

What are u all doing ?

X

Hi guys
I am new today and on Sole source plus. I am needing to lose 4-6 stone. I can cope with the hunger but I will miss eating real food. It must be hard if you don't like a lot of the shakes. It is very daunting thinking about the amount of weight to lose. But I'm sick of all this fat so drastic action is needed.

Hey!!

I am the same as you anything between 4-6 stone I'll be happy I think !!

I am on sole source but thinking of doing Ss+ because I really miss dinner even just a bit of chicken at night would be lovely lol

X

Hiya how u doing?

Glad to hear ur sticking with it my consultant was wanting me to go up to ss+ but I didn't want the responsibility of eating I do have a ss+ meal on a Sunday after my weigh in as a treat but I'm 100% the rest

With regards to Xmas dinner it's just me and my partner so decided to have a mixed grill with salad so I won't be taking on too many carbs.

Can't believe I'm nearing the end of week 3 it's been quick x

I feel like Ss+ would give me something to look forward to rather then being tempted by my partner eating or sneaking something I would rather eat and feel satisfied if you no what I mean?

I'm still new though so I'm struggling and teaching myself x

Yeah it is a major learning curve I'm ok until about 5pm then I start getting the cravings it's not hunger tho so what I do is have my shake then go for a bath which takes about 1.5 hours lol when I'm done the craving has passed and I praise myself for not giving in it is a hard diet
From what I've heard ss+ has similar losses mayby a difference of a few pounds a month but stick with ss until ur first weigh in u might be really happy and want to stick with it and of u can hold out another week then have the bars xx

I sort of do ss+ some days, i'll have a sugar free syrup latte at work (we have a costa) or have the allowance of prawns to pick at in an evening and I've not noticed a change in my losses personally! Its good to know it's there if I'm desperate.
