Step 1 Sole Source The start to a slimmer me, I hope!

Started CWD sole source last monday the 23rd of February and have been on it since. I have been following a few people's journeys and realized its time i document mine too. Day 1 was very slow and I kept checking the time as I felt it was moving slowly. I have timed meals so as to train my body. This I have found to work as I get hungry at a certain time. I have not had a day where I had unbearable headaches and this may be because I have +3 litres of water everyday, some days I go up to 4.5l but my consultant says that is unhealthy so I am trying to cut back.
Today is my day 8 and weigh in day (YaY) and I am both excited and nervous as I cheated twice in this seven days and I have seen the weightloss on my scale but do not know if I will see the same impact on the consultants. My goal for the next month is as follows:

March Summary

76kg (-12.6kg)

Long term goal weight: 68kg
To lose: 20.6kg

I do not know how realistic this is but I plan to stick to it till end March and plan for April as it approaches.
The worse than can happen is me staying as obese (according to BMI) as I am...

there is nothing unhealthy about 4.5l of water a day. It's only a potential problem if a lot is drunk in a short space of time. If it is spaced out over the day, it's fine. I drink at least 4l a day and have drunk 5l a day in the past. Space it through the day and it is good for your weight loss.

Good luck with your weight loss

Hi Zecond,

Thanks for the advice. Your weightloss is very inspiring. I shall take your advice and space out my intake. I think I have not been experiencing bad symptoms because of the large water intake and wouldn't want to stop.

When did you start your journey? I have weigh in today and although my scale says I have lost some weight, I am still a bit worried, and I can't shake it off.

I started on 29 December 2014.

I have actually lost weight with this diet before but I never worked through the steps and had a bit of a difficult time a few years ago and turned back to over eating and drinking and put it all back on plus some. I will not repeat again!

One step at a time, one day at a time. Some days I do despair at how long I have to go before I get to a weight I'd like to be at, but as long as I keep doing it, I'll get there. Every now and then there is some great extra motivation. Some days the scales give the reward, sometimes the measurements, sometimes fitting into clothes that you haven't been able to get into for a few years. If we stick with it we will succeed. I'm glad I got a boost this week, hitting two good milestones in my weight loss and losing a good amount of centimetres in the past month. I did need it :)

Good luck with your weigh in. It's always difficult when a weigh in isn't first thing in the morning before we have drunk all our water and had our shakes! I weigh myself every morning. It's my motivation and helps me stay focussed throughout the day.

I look forward to seeing your loss later today if you get a chance to post

Best of luck Slimmer-K. I'm a few days ahead of you and drinking about 3.6 litres daily. I too haven't experienced any bad symptoms but seem to spend most of the day peeing...If that's the price to pay to lose weight, I'll happily move into the toilet!! Best with your next weigh-in x

Good luck on your weigh in - I'm new to CD too and starting tomorrow. Do let us know how you get on :) I'm intrigued with seeing everyone's losses - so inspirational!

Wow hey! You have done so well Zecond and your journey is inspiring. I shall take from your experience to not leave midway and do it till the end. It was very brave and courageous of you to get back onto CWP and for you to still motivate yourself and stick to it. I am inspired.

Hi KentishGirl,

Glad to hear we are not too far apart. I do not mind the peeing too. It actually makes me feel like I am doing something, like I am losing all the weight in the pee. Hahahaha, funny how we create theories in our heads just to keep going! but anything that works right?

Is it your first time on CWP and how is it going for you?

Sai_89, welcome!!! Always great when the support structure grows.

I hope you will keep us updated on your progress. I joined this forum so that I can be able to share my experiences with others and hopefully someone out there will be motivated. The more we talk about this the better, it becomes less of a monster than it feels initially.

All the best!!!! We in this together.

So weigh in yesterday.....

I only lost 3.1kg (6.8lbs) and 11cm all around. I am not too impressed with my loss and it got me feeling sad however, I was blessed to have my nephew with me who kept telling me how awesome it is that I lost that much weight in just a week. My consultant kept telling me to imagine how heavy 3kg is, and I appreciate her efforts but I had hoped for more (greedy, right?)

After discussions with my consultant yesterday, I have decided to stay on sole source for longer and adjust my goals as she says the average loss after week 1 is only 1.6kg (3.5 lbs). However, I am going to work hard at this and keep at 2kg (4.4 lbs) a week.

This means, commitment on my side, loads of water and sole source is prolonged. I know I can do this, I just need to put my mind to it. 88kg (13.8 stone) used to be the weight I cannot seem to go under and I did with the CWP in just one week so THERE IS NO STOPPING ME NOW!!! I hope I stay as motivated as I woke up today (without a headache though).

I shall be posting my new goal table later today after taking my consultant's advice into consideration.

I have a terrible headache, I wonder if its the day I am having at work or the diet itself.

And my new goal table seems to not have changed much:

Well done Slimmer_K that's a great loss!! I know it's difficult when we build up expectation in our heads - but see 3kg for what it is - perhaps get a backpack and stuff 3kg in it and walk around the house with it - it'll help you realise what you've lost so far. It seems as if we're at similar starting weights too. Keep going - you're doing fab x

Hi Sai_89,

Thanks for the encouragement. I think I am just being too hard on myself, bad habit that!

We did start at similar weights, hopefully we can soldier on together towards our goal weights. When is your weigh in?

I have a pounding headache. Its only 8:20pm and i am already in bed....so I guess its an early night for me

Hi Slimmer_K,

I weigh in on tuesdays midday. Which day will you be weighing in?

Hi Slimmer_K,

Hi Sai_89,

I weighed in yesterday on monday and was not too pleased with the results but I cheated over the weekend so I understand, I think. I only lost 1.6kg which is 3.5 pounds. I was hoping to lose 2kg onwards but I am determined to not cheat this week and see how much I lose when I am purely on CWP and tea.

My guess is your weigh in is today, its tuesday at my side of the world and its 1pm. All the best with the weigh in and please update us!!!

Day 18 and I feel so bored with my food.

Swapped my normal lunch of soup and had it for breakfast then I will have porridge for lunch. I am craving a lot of things especially the KFC Box master meal with a burger and two chicken pieces. I wonder if I would even finish it.

Feeling so down, but I am sticking to the diet. No cheats all week, hopefully my body rewards me for this come weigh in on monday.
