Step 1 Sole Source No More Excuses

Hiya
I have been procrastinating and making excuses about re starting for over 5 months now. Yes five months !!! Thinking about it breaks my heart but it's time to move on.

I have given myself 17 weeks to get to goal. For once I want to start something and see it through. When I get to goal then I will decide if I'd like to lose more or just hit the gym. I have never really had a healthy realistic goal weight thus listening to my consultant right now. My main goal was 8 stones and 5 pounds but she felt that would be too low for me.
A huge part of this is self love and contentment. So I believe achieving 9 stones and maintaining a healthy weight will allow me to understand that being super skinny isn't going to change my world.

Updating here daily have helped me previously and it's time I stop the excuses and make progress. I am a carer so that can get me emotional at times but we all have to fight for what we want.

Hi I am new to Cambridge and have my packs all at the ready to start tomorrow! Want to lost 2 stone after putting it on after having my children and mainly want to feel confident again! Have you done cambridge before? I'm not looking forward to these first few days after what I've read...... Will be starting on sole source! X
 
Hi both. I'm not doing Cambridge but a very similar diet (there's no forum for it tho so I'm hovering here). Tomorrow will be my first weigh in but I can feel a difference already.
I've never done a diet like this before. I always turned my nose up when they were suggested but I've tried everything else so decided I would give it a go. The first few days were really tough. There were times I felt weak and I was very close to caving but I'm so glad I stayed strong. By Friday I felt fine and the last 2 days have been great, although I'm having to make a conscious effort to have my meals/shakes as I'm hardly hungry.
Good luck to you both. We will all do this together.x

Good luck with day one tomorrow and yes I've done it before. One thing I know is it works for a fact.
With only two stones to lose you'll be done in no time. Let's shrink together xx

It does get challenging but all worth it in the end. I can't wait for my first weigh in. Also good luck tomorrow xx
 
Had my first maple and pecan porridge, wasn't too bad' looking forward to risotto for lunch as getting peckish now! So far so good, I think later near tea time is when I'll struggle as I have 3 kids and husband to cook for! But I'm determined to get this weight gone! X
 
What can I say today was yet another messed up emotionally drawn out day.
I really have to break this habit of making excuses and procrastinating.
I binged last night with the intention today will be a restart. Woke up early a little tired and just had some water but as soon as I missed my shake and didn't follow through it all goes down hill.
I want to build new habits so I will do this tomorrow.
Apologies for venting :(
 
This mornings weigh in showed an 8lb loss. Happy with that for my first week. Would love to get 6lb this week however TOTM is due, so I'm not getting my hopes up.

Finally got my head right and changed consultants.
Started my journey today. I also have a diary where I update daily.
How are you getting on?
 
Thats good! I think a good consultant can make a big difference.
Im doing ok so far. I lost 9lbs in week one. Had a bit of a blip last night but I got straight back on it today so I dont think it should make a difference.

I'm so sick of being sick and damn tired. I continue to be the old me. It's time for change.
I always take the easy way out. But no more.
I am not starting another thread that I will just abandoned, again. Hell no!
I'm a bridesmaid in 12.5 weeks. 1st goal is 10 stone then I will set the next. I appreciate all the support I continue to receive on here. I know habits are not easy to build but when it happens, it will change me. I'm excited xx

My first goal is to let go of all past events. Second is to consistently complete 30 days to make it a habit :)

I'm doing ok thanks. My first goal was to complete one week. Monday to Sunday. I did that last week. My next goal is to make it to 4 weeks. I'm going with baby steps.
