Talking Newbie Cambride Dieters! Saturday Weigh In

    Hi!

This is my first week on the Cambridge Diet... complete newbie to the programme ... and was looking to see if anyone else has just started!

My first weigh in was on 23/03/08 and I was 12st 3lbs I need to get down to between 10st 5lbs/10lbs so that I'll have a healty BMI of 25.

How has everyone found their first week on CD?

My hardest part was drinking all the water. Plus I miss my morning latte!

My heaviest was 13st 4lbs ... theres a lovely coffee shop near where I work and the do the nicest muffins. It got to a stage where I was having a huge muffin and a large full fat latte every morning. The I saw that Jamie Oliver show Eat to save your life, what a shock that was and I knew I had to do something.

So I started the Fat Flush Diet which is a variation of atkins... you can eat loads of fresh fruit vegatables... lots of fish... and I lost my first stone!

Got down to 12st but then gained 3lbs over Paddy's Weekend!
The weight just wasnt moving past that. A friend at work lost 23lbs in 6wks so that was my inspiration!

So fingers crossed for my weigh in tomorrow!!
Im gonna update this thread every week with my weight loss so anyone else who weighs in on a Saturday if you would care to join me!!!

    HI

I have lost 13lbs in two weeks, the first week I found really easy, I had a positive head and I wasn't tempted at all by chocolate, latte's or muffins. The second week wasn't so easy although I stuck to the CD I felt as if I was missing out on stuff, be it food or socialising. I really felt as if I was a prisioner in my own home (I know it sounds extreme). I'm on my 3rd week now and I am feeling ok, I am eating the bars and there nice. My motivation has been this website, the Ketostix and my clothes has started to become baggy. You can do it be positive and think about the effects that the weight loss will do.

    Good luck

wow skinny that is brilliant weight loss all in twon weeks.

Its so hard I have an event coming up for the next three saturdays - 2 hens parties and end of hockey season party! Cant drink or eat.

But I will persevere ... the benefits far out weigh the cons!

Well done on your fist week and fingers crossed for a HUGE loss! I found Week 2 tougher than Week 1 as well, as felt the need to chew! But then Week 3 you can have bars and mousses etc so I was OK. I found having the soups in a bowl with a spoon helped as you feel as though you are eating something rather than just drinking. Best of luck!!

    Unhappy

Oh no! Only 3days into week two and Ive already cheated twice!!!

Got my monthlies moinday and felt really down... when I got home from work I ate a Polarkraft roll... its sweet swedish bread... tasted soooooo good. but felt so guilty after.

Yesterday I had a packet of Giant buttons. Then I went back to my mams yesterday she just came back from hols in gran canaria and she bought me a Giant toblerone!!! I love them!! I had one square but did have the precense of mind to put it back in the fridge and leave it their.

If I brought it home I would have ate it all coz the boyf doesnt eat chocolate....

Have I completely Ruined myself??? Will I burn in Hades????

    Hi Jelly Belly,

Well done on week 1 weight loss!!! I have finally started proper, I kept breaking it whenever I got to ketosis. But, I have given myself a good ~mental~ kick up the ass and then.... forgave myself!! And this time I have more focus and motivation because I know how crappy I felt when I broke it so its a great deterent not to do it again.

Plus... a 2lb weight loss is still a loss!! Well done for stopping eating the choc, now that I would not have been able to do so you know that you have the willpower so get back into it!!

P.S. I also WI on Saturdays.
