Rep Power: 7 ![]() Diet: Cambridge Diet | Hi All, Just a question about TOTM. All set to start CD this morning but along came TOTM as well and I am just wondering what the situation is with starting CD on the same day as TOTM. First few days of TOTM for me is always bad. Very weak, sick and light headed. I am just worried that with what is going on with my body and then on top of that the sudden "no food allowed" and the reactions people normally get in the first few days of CD (lightheadedness, etc.) it might not be a good idea for thoes few days? I just don't want to put pressure on my body when it is already not 100%. I would ask my CDC but she is away until Monday. Thanks. Sarah |

Rep Power: 6 ![]() | First of all I'm not a CDC but I am answering this because I was in the same state as you. I usually have very bad pain and tiredness during TOTM. For me it usually starts from 2nd day. Just on second day on CD my TOTM started. I did not have any different experience. In fact the second and third day were better than usual. May be its because they say you feel terrible during those days mainly because you lack some vitamins and minerals which we do not include in our normal food and the CD packs have all that you need and may it made the difference. Surprisingly the next month TOTM I was not feeling any of my usual pain or sick feeling. This is my experience and hope it helps. |

Rep Power: 1000 ![]() | It's down to personal choice - there's no reason why you can't start CD at the same time as you have TOTM - only you can decide if your willpower is up to it. As Lipotrimmer says, you may well find you get through the first few days minus lots of pain cos you are already 'suffering' with TOTM. |

There is no reason health wise why you shouldn't - infact you are getting all the nutrients you need in the packs. If you feel you will be feeling really grotty - is taking a day or 2 off work an option??? If so - do that - cosset yourself, hot water bottle, warm baths ... read through on here ... and generally get through those few days. A lot of women find CD helps their TOTM if they have been use to having a bad time .. so hopefully you have that to look forward to as a bonus to losing weight!!!

Rep Power: 7 ![]() Diet: Cambridge Diet | Thank you for your replies. I have only managed to log back into my computer now. I had decided to start anyway and if I felt worse I would just stop. Things are ok. |

Hi D_Q, It isn't willpower I am worried about. It was the physical side of it. I have a child and mind 2 others, was just worried that the "normal" lightheadedness that I suffer from when I get TOTM would be worse if I started CD the same day. If it did then I wouldn't have been able to start as I would have to be able to take care of the kids and wouldn't have been able to rest up. Thank you for replying. Sarah | |
