What BMI does Med form have to be signed by GP?

    Hi everyone,
To save me going through all the paperwork - I know there is a recommendation that people over a certain BMI have to get the medical form signed by their doctor, even if they are otherwise healthy. Can someone tell me what it is please??? I think it's 40 ????
    thanks, Ann

They must have the form signed if BMI is over 40. If it's over 30 it's still recommended especially if they haven't seen their doc in a while.
Any exercise advice I give is general advice based on the assumption that you are fit and healthy. You should always consult your doctor before commencing an exercise programme.

    Hi,

It became mandatory towards the end of last year BMI and above must get GP's signature.
