    Unhappy Hungry! Help

    Hi all,
I'm on day 13 of CD. First week went well and I lost weight. The last few days I have been really really hungry (actually feeling hungry - not just my head wanting something to eat).
I haven't lost any weight in the last 5 days (infact the scales say I've put on a lb)
I don't understand what's happening. I've stuck to the plan 100%, I'm still in Ketosis, and it's not TOTM.
Does anyone have any idea where I'm going wrong? I feel so hungry and I'm not sure I can stick with this for another day, let alone another 5 months!!!
    Help

Oh no I wish I could help - I'm a beginner though! Best not to panic though. Have you talked to your CDC?

    Hi Suki,

You may be suffering from water retention - it will soon pass and the weight will move. If you are really really struggling, have an add-a-meal but stick to the add-a-meal rules and then get back on it the next day. We all plateau from time to time, even early on in the diet. Dont give in - you will be OK.......honest!

Are you drinking enough water? I drink between 4 & 5 litres aday. It stops the hunger, and washes away the fat waste. I am day 12 and I must say I am doing ok, if I get hungry I drink. Problem solved. How do you know you are not in ketosis?

    Now in the 12's!
I am not fat, just getting thinner!

    Hmmmmm (confused, miserable and hungry)

Well the scales were still the same this morning. One pound on since Monday . I've also put on inches on my hips and waist .
My rumbling stomach woke me up this morning, I don't know what I can do - I already drink about 4-5 litres of water a day and my ketostix still show me in the pink. I've had nearly 2 litres this morning and still feel hungry.
This is the fifth day of feeling hungry and the scales are moving in the wrong direction - I'm soooo close to throwing in the towel and eating - but I really don't want to give up.

    ***big sigh***

    Any suggestions?

I went like this when I was constipated last week and Ive gone the same again this week, without meaning to be personal ....have you been!!! If not I would say its that, after mine cleared up last week it got rid of of the water retention as well.

Have you tried putting in Psysillium husks in your shakes apart from adding fibre they can also help to fill you.

Please dont throw the towel in!

Is there anything you can do when you feel hungry such as go for a walk or phoning a friend?

I would just go by the CDC scales ( i know easier said than done!!) but scales do differ. You can also weight can change at different times of the day.

On CD it is impossible not to lose weigh. Iam sure of it

If you are feeling demotivated - I'd suggest giving your CDC a call or email - asking for HELP!!! When is your usual weigh in??? Also weighing on her scales once a week is better, if you can.

I was a slow loser on CD and one week I'd lose 1 or 2lb then the following week I'd lose 4 or 5 lb .... always did my stone a month. Our bodies can be funny re losing weight - but on 415cals a day - you can not fail but to lose weight eventually.

DON'T give up!!! You've done the hard bit of getting into ketosis - stick with it!!

    Hi all,
Thanks for all your support and suggestions.
    I'm 5'7" and having 3 packs a day (except on two days when I had 1/2 a bar extra - maybe I shouldn't have done that )
I have so much to loose and this is the only way I can do it to get to goal for my long holiday to Oz in September - so I really have to stick with it.
I've tried the P husks and although I'm not very keen I do try to have some in at least one shake a day.

Arrrrrgh, I suppose I just need to stop being so obsessed by the scales, but it's really hard when you're struggling and not seeing the benefits. Also weight and inches 'gain' is really disheartening.

I only weigh myself at home first thing in the morning (after the loo and in my birthday suit -LOL ). When I weigh at my CDC it's at different times of day and sometimes on different days (because of my work commitments), so I always thought that my measurements would be more acurate.

Right, time to stop moaning, ignore my noisy (hungry) stomach and go and do something useful.
Thanks guys, sorry for moaning, I'll let you know how I get on. Do you think exercise could help??
