Step2 810kcal Back after 5 years!

Hi all,

I first began Cambridge around 5 years ago, and posted on this for support as well as finding brilliant information and tips to keep me focused.

In total, I lost just over 4 stone. 5 years later, and I've put all but half a stone back on. I've recently tried a few diets (slimming world, 5:2) but have found nothing that worked as well as when I got in the zone on Cambridge.

So I took the plunge and saw a CC last week, and am recommencing the diet tomorrow! I've decided to do 810 this time round as I'm now in a relationship and want to share a meal of sorts with my other half still.

So I wanted to say hello again and thank you to everyone who supported me last time!

Liz

Hi liz I am in the same boat as you . Went on cambridge 5 years ago, lost three stone put it all back on. Tried again three times and tried lighter life herbalife 5.2 you name it. Starting again tomorrow fingers crossed.

Hi Ladies. I too have put on about 5 stone since I last did the this diet but I have to admit I never followed the programme properly after I lost loads of weight. I got fed up and never followed the maintenance steps. I have tried many other diets too but came back to the Cambridge weight plan as I knew I could do it. I'm now on day 15 and am feeling quite positive as I have lost 15lbs so far. Good luck ladies x x x:)

Hi ladies, this thread just jumped out at me as I too was on this site 5 years ago and bam, here I am again. Started Cambridge yesterday, so far so good, haven't eaten the dog yet so things are looking promising. Have tried everything under the sun, they all work short term, but I have 5 stone to shift so the reality of going to my local fat club and losing 1-2lb per week was so soul destroying to me. Hence me now being back on Cambridge. Would love some support, a few laughs along the way, share some tips, anything really to make this journey a little easier. Looking forward to hearing from you. Anne. X

Hi
I'm also back after 5 years since I last did CWP
I lost around 2stone the last time (would've loved another 2, but it's was for my brothers wedding so didn't allow enough time) and regained it plus another stone... So I ended up needing to lose 5 stone to get to my goal!! Tried numerous diets in that time, managed to lose 10lbs on slimming world before losing interest and needing something quick! I get married in May this year and did not want to be a fat bride! So I contacted my counsellor and am now on day 12 and have lost 11lbs so far so I'm over the moon and actually looking forward to my wedding now rather than dreading it (130 guests all looking at me walking down the aisle at the size I was did not fill me with joy!!)
Good luck for your journey, keep us all posted on how you're doing xxx

Fantastic news, your doing so well. Fingers crossed I'm as successful. Just finishing day2, hoping it gets easier from here on in. X

Hello all CWP'ers. I am returning after 4 years and yes, I have put it all on again. However I am with a wonderful councellor, she is so inspiring having once been my exact weight and is now maintaining a wonderful trim figure. I'm in it for the long haul this time, never went onto the 2nd/3rd/4th step so methinks that is where I went wrong. Going to use this time to really re-educate my insidious eating habits. So you will be seeing a quite a bit of me on the forum and then hopefully less and less (weight wise) :p
Good luck all!

Glad your back, hopefully we can gee each other along. Good luck for the week, let us know how your getting on. X

Thanks Anne. I have been watching the most inspiring YouTube clips and fire is in my belly (and a rather lot of belly too) :D Great to have the encouragement of this forum, and yes I'll watch your back if you watch mine :bighug:

Sorry Anne, a bit slow on the replies...my bad. Type in Dual Dynamics on YouTube, some amazing stories there!

Just watched some, it really spurs you on, also looking at some of the before and after photos on here helps.
My worry is that I won't stick to it till the end. I've done this before, where I get down to a size that I can live with and then it stops. I think I can lose the rest a little slower, by some other means, slimming club, healthy eating or whatever, and it doesn't happen.
Really hope I can do it this time. X

Hi Ladies
I have started CB so many times before and I never EVER get past the first week/2 weeks
I need to loose alot of weight so like you get disheartened at other groups of small weight loss.
So here I am again really hoping that this time will be different x

Commit to the first week and do it properly. If you see a really great result it spurs you on to continue. You know this works, it's not an easy option I grant you, but it gives you the results and that's what keeps us all doing it.
There's a thread that's called 50 reasons to loose the weight. There's bloody pages and pages of little things that we all feel, it's a real boost, and it'll make you smile, go check it out.
Come on, we can do this. X

Got my second weigh on this morning and not too optimistic due to Mother's Day lunch/ pig out yesterday.
I don't seem to understand the difference between eating a normal meal and me sitting at the last supper!
Food is definitely not my friend at the moment, I have absolutely no self control around it and knowing that terrifies me.
I really want to get this weight off once and for all, but it's the keeping it off which worries me more.
Please tell me I'm not alone!!! Xx

I'm a returner too! I lost over 3 stone 5 years ago and have piled 4+ stone back on... very disappointed with myself... one for all of the money it's cost me, and two, having to put myself through this again... my trouble was that I went too skinny and looked gaunt at target...so I thought I'd put a bit of weight back to fill out my skin again, and I forgot to stop eating!

I struggle big time to lose weight on any diet (not making excuses, it's the truth), for example my first week loss is usually 5-6 lbs and typically I'll lose 3-4 lb per MONTH afterwards..... even on Cambridge

I'm on day 4 today and suffering with a huge headache, but have jumped straight in onto SS.

Good luck to everyone re-starting after such a long time x
