    Greeneyes will PERSEVERE.........

Well actually I'm not going that fast, but only have 9lbs left to go (slightly less if I weigh on my scales... lol).

So my story, I was a skinny teen, was always told I would fall down the drain if I turned sideways, I started to put on my weight when I started to have children... and with each child I put on a bit more until I had 10 children and lots of surplus weight.... lol A couple of times I have managed to get down to 11 stone, but not sure what happened, probably meeting my 2nd husband was one of those times I put on weight as he is skinny and eats whatever he likes and never puts on weight, unfortunately I do... 2nd time I got down to 11 stone with WW and then had another child... lol and ended up at 14 stone 6, I think it was probably nearer 15 stone, but I dieted for a week before I got round to weighing myself, all I know is that I was huge.

After starting with WW in January and then swapping to a kind of Atkins Diet and losing 10lb in all, my impatience got the better of me and I decided to do CD as I wanted the weight off quicker, plus MIL and FIL were coming over and I didn't want to be fat as I am already 14 years older than hubby and didn't want to be fat and 14 years older than him so they would have even more to complain about... so I started CD and haven't looked back since.

I went from a size 20 top and bottom to a now size 10 bottom and 12 top and I am absolutely loving my shoulders, I have always had American Footballer shoulders but now I can feel the bones and I think that is what I love about being slim the most, as you can imagine my tummy is never going to be flat (not even close) esepcially after having 3 caesereans, so may look into a tummy tuck in the future.

But for now I need to lose this last 9lb, not sure if I will revise my goal once I reach it as I would really love to see just how unflabby my tummy would get, but dont really want to lose much more around my bottom half... and dont want to look old and haggard either.

I am on 810 and have been for a few weeks, but have changed it slightly to suit me. I have cut out one shake and have a 150 cal breakfast instead, and I am getting very imaginative with my menus. I also tend to have quorn and/or cottage cheese so that I can split it and have a meal at lunch time and dinner time. I have also had several meals out and have still managed to lose weight, so am quite happy at the moment in how the diet is going, BUT I am losing motivation and just sooooo need to get to goal, I was hoping to have been there by 5th July, but that is not going to happen, and I know when the inlaws are around I will have to eat normally as I dont want them knowing I have lost tons of weight just because they were coming...

Sorry about the long post, I will put up my menus each day and as I am a scale hopper, I will also put up my weight on my scales each day too.... If you have got this far, thank you for reading and here's to added motivation for me for the rest of my journey....

    Hi

I've already posted to you on my diary over the weekend - but wanted to say a huuge Welcome to the Maintenance Board

You have done so well so far, and I just know you will get to goal
With the In law's coming, can't you still stick to plan (or even 1000) for the week and kinda say that's how you like to eat (with 1000 just have the lesser carbs ie CousCous etc)
    xx
Lost and maintained 7 stone loss in 2009, gained when pregnant...and now here to get my pre-pregnancy body/weight back

Well it is my MILs 50th birthday party on 11th July, so will just be really careful with what I eat, hopefully she wont notice and the rest of my family know I am dieting, and then it will only be the weekend after that we see them as it is hubbys birthday that weekend, so they will be around on the Saturday, Sunday and Monday, plus we think we are seeing them in London this Sunday as we are off to see The Killers and they happen to be in London with hubbys brother, but I shouldn't have to eat around them. I will just cook them healthy stuff and then will be able to eat some of it myself... thats the plan anyway, determined to lose these last few lbs, unfortunately the weekend after hubbys birthday we are off on holiday for a week, but as we will be in our caravan I can cook whatever I like for myself so will stick to plan that week...

    Monday 29th June
Weight on my scales:- 10stone 6.4lb
    Lost .2lb since yesterday

    Breakfast
    1 Apple (51 calories)
100g Strawberries (saved the other 200g for later in the day)

    Snack
    1/2 CD Bar
Cup of White Tea (as in White Tea, not tea with milk)

    Lunch
    137g Cottage Cheese (1/2 allowance)
    Few Salad Leaves
100g Strawberries + half a total 0% fat free greek yoghurt mixed with vanilla shake as topping (mixed 1/4 vanilla shake with full pot of yoghurt, saved other half for later, having yoghurt instead of milk allowance)
Black Coffee with spoon of vanilla shake mixed in (needed to do something with other 1/4 vanilla shake as have decided only to have 1 shake today and a bar)

    Snack
    1/2 CD Bar
Black coffee with spoon of vanilla shake

    Dinner
137g Chicken pieces quorn (half allowance flavoured with tandoori spices)
    2 mushrooms
    4 tiny asparagus spears
100g Strawberries with rest of vanilla flavoured Total Yoghurt

    Before Bed
    1/2 chocolate shake

I prefer to eat little and often and so far it seems to be working for me, even when I was on 3 shakes I used to split them into 2 and have six 1/2 packs a day.

Also by bedtime I will have glugged at least 4 litres of water which is more than usual, but it is so hot I have been extra thirsty.

    Hi Greeneyes,

Respect to you at having 10 kids (did i read thast right?).
I have 3 under 3 and have my hands full, i can't imagine how busy you must be. You have done incredibly well....very well done to you.
I see you live in Maldon, i luuuvvvv Maldon, it's so lovely there by the estuary and the little splash park for the kiddies.
I live in Chelmsford so it's only a 20 min drive from me.

Like you having kids so close together has left me with an unsightly tummy (had two 10 pounder babies), it will never be smooth no matter how much exercise i do so i am looking into a tummy tuck too, but not until i lost and maintained the weight for a while.

    I'll be following your diary

    xx

Dreaming maid it was 11 kids I believe not 10 :-) Amazing.

Greeneyes, you look absolutely fantastic. Well done on your weight loss, you have done really really well. I'll see my in laws in October, they don't like me much and I'm almost certain that they won't say anything at all about my weight loss when they see me.

Your menu looks good, how do you flavour the quorn with tandoori spices? I tend to use frozen quorn (much cheaper) so it's quite dry and I haven't really been able to flavour it with anything really, I have some boullion powder to try out.

I don't think we are allowed fruit on 810, I don't know why though.

Hi dreaming maid, yep it is 10 kids, luckily 5 have now moved out of home and only have 5 aged from 6 years to 16 at home now.

Jan, I have the frozen quorn too, but I do defrost it, put it in a non stick pan, add a couple of teaspoons of the tandoori curry powder and then add about 1/4 cup full of water, I then stir and bring to boil and let the water boil away and the tandoori spices then coat the chicken (must say I did discover this by accident but it works with all spices... lol). I know you are not allowed fruit on 810, but I am doing my own kinda version, I have added in a 150cal breakfast and cut out 1 shake. I took the breakfast from the 1000 cal plan and you can have 150cal of fruit for breakfast, so that is where my fruit came from. Did lose weight yesterday, so even though I felt I was eating all day, it obviously worked. Will be back to update later...

Thanks for the tip, I'll try here, it would be lovely to have a few more flavours in with the quorn.

Tuesday 30th June (where has this month gone?)

WI on my scales:- 10stone 6.2lb
    Loss 0.2lb
Mood:- Optimistic but finding it hard to stay motivated. So near to goal but so far too....

Breakfast:- 1 slice granary bread thinly spread with VLCS and I scrambled egg made using some of milk allowance.

Snack:- 1 decaff coffee with whipped up milk on top from allowance and sprinkled with ground cinnamon.

Lunch:- Small amount of quorn flavoured with Thai Green Curry and the rest of half my allowance of cottage cheese sprinkled with ground pepper and cajun spices on a few salad leaves. Mint Choc mixamousse (I make 300ml worth and split into 2 bowls, had 1 for lunch), followed by another frothy milk topped decaff coffee.

    Snack:- half a chocolate shake

Dinner:- Half quorn allowance flavoured with Thai Green Curry and a few slices of fresh chilli served with tiny asparagus spears. 2nd half of mixamousse and frothy milk topped coffee to use up my milk allowance.

Just before bed:- half chocolate shake (not sure what I will do once I no longer have shakes, I love one hot just before bedtime).

Hope everyone had a good day, it is my WI day tomorrow, but I will be having breakfast before then, so will note the weight on my scales, but total weight loss for the week will be the weight loss that CDC gives me...

Was thrilled that when I tried a size 12 top on in Tesco today it was waaaaay to big so had to buy a size 10 instead, this doesn't count for all tops, but very pleased I could buy a 10 at last, I told DH I would have bought it even if I had of hated it as it was a size 10.... lol

Yummy, your menu's sound fab!!!! I was wondering why we can only have boiled eggs, but i dont see why we can't have scrambled without salt. I see you love your spicey food too.

    You're doing soooooo well hun.

I;ve done the most stupid thing!!!! for the entire CD journey. We buy wholesale a lot and I've been having tuna which has been in brine!!!! I hadn't noticed the book says 'in water'... what a wally. I've probably been retaining water all this time which is why my losses have always been small. Ah well we live and learn!!

    Nite hunxxx

My Christmas treat to myself is to be 28lbs closer to my pre baby body.

WI day:- Lost 2lb this week

Breakfast:- 2 Shredded Wheat, Milk from Allowance and a few strawberries sliced on top (not part of plan but hey I fancied them)

Lunch:- Half Cottage Cheese allowance on Salad leaves, sprinkled with pepper and cajun spices. Half CD choc bar

Snack:- Half a mint choc CD shake

Dinner:- Half Quorn allowance, cauliflower, mushrooms and a few slices of chilli cooked with Chilli spices (plus a small clove of garlic), plus other half of CD bar. Frothy milk coffee with ground cinnamon on the top.

Half Mint Choc shake just before bed.

I had breakfast before my WI and then after CDC had gone I went out until 2.30pm and the had my lunch, I was starving by then... great news, ended up buying a size 8 top in Next, cannot believe the size 10 was too big. Also only 7lb to go until goal... woohoo.
