30 day shred

I kept reading that people were doing the 30 day shred. I thought it was some kind of new step on the cd. Doh! So I googled it and found it is and exercise dvd. Ordered it from amazon and should come Monday. Don't have the confidence to go to a gym yet.

Wat your experience of the dvd? Will I be in tears within 5 mins? Will I actually manage 5 mins? Im getting scared. Lol.

it is doable, but you will feel it the next day. I didn't geet more than 4 days in though, I get bored quickly!
 
Im a bit like yourself. Get bored easily and quickly. Only cost £6 so if I get a few workouts from it'll be worth it. Planning on cycling to and from work 3 times a week which will be 10k each time then maybe Saturday and/or Sunday. Better then nothing. Got to motivate tho.

I have attempted 30 day shred twice and have not got passed day 12 either time because level two is so hard!!! I found when I did do it whilst doing the 5:2 diet my weight loss increased dramatically. Not bad for 20 minutes every day.
 
Did my second day today.... My bloody right calf has tightened so some of the cardio bits were a bit awkward!

Not sure If I will make it to level two, but hey, in the last 2 days I've done more exercise in the last 2 months, so it's all good.

If I do stick to it I won't make it to day 30 as I go on holiday day 28, but I plan on giving those 28 days a good old try!

By the way.... Ouch!
 
Keep an eye on Natalie to the left, as you can catch her stopping when she thinks jillian isn't looking! After 20+ days of level one you get to know it off by heart, anything to pass the time...
 
Just finished! Wasn't as bad as I was expecting, and glad I finished the whole workout :) will try be a little more intense tomorrow as I get used to the exercises...
 
My knees were sore afterwards and driving to work was a bit odd, but I recovered ok. Hoping I have the resolve to do day two and work harder at it :)
 
I got to day three and then the weekend happened lol. Said I was going to start back up with it on Monday but instead went back to SS so wondered if it was a good idea continuing or not. What do you think? Good or bad idea whilst on SS?

I am on SS+ and wondering the same thing....this looks pretty interesting and I'm enjoying reading people experiences...I might pluck up the courage to do it at some point...
 
I spoke to my CDC yesterday about this and she said she would not recommend doing any cardio at all whilst on SS. She said we are not taking in enough calories to accommodate for this and there is also risk of building muscle which then takes on additional water and can affect how you weigh.

Im going to avoid anything strenuous until I am further up the steps as (I know it sounds awful) but weight loss is more important to me than fitness! Planning on stripping down before building up.

Weekend motivation for a shred is harder than resisting food I think!
