    Red face New product.

    Did anyone get the new product. New cambridge vanilla rice pudding. Guess what I'm having for supper tonight. Its 177 calories, and cooks a bit like the porridge. My CDC said if I like the vanilla shakes I should like it.

    My consultant gave me one to try but I haven't yet. I have never had regular rice pudding...looking forward to trying it at some point.

    This new product sounds lovely. I will have to get one to try.. I can definitely see myself being addicted to it as I like vanilla and rice pudding.

    Do you eat the rice pudding hot or cold ??? And is it like actual rice , i wasn't too keen on the porridge , but then i didn't really stick with it !!

    You have to make it with boiling water and leave to soak for a good 15 mins before microwaving. Its a strange texture at first but stick with it and its really really nice .

    I hated it. First one I thought maybe I made it wrong. Tried again, I could not even get half way though it with out feeling sick. I gave my other packet away to a friend also on the diet. lol I have yet to see how she got on with it. I love rice pudding, but its not really rice, the texture is all wrong. And its not really vanilla either. Its like vanilla and coconut or something.. ugh lol I wanted to like it.

    It the winter it would be nice. Hot rice pud before bed, but I will stick to a soup.

    Eating it as we speak. It smelt delicious! But the texture is too weird. The rice was a bit too chewy and the 'sauce' had a powdery consistency. The taste is a little odd too! Its no way sweet enough for me. Glad i only got the two. Pretty sure i can stomach two of them in a week.
