Started today

Hello all I'm 22 years old 5ft5 and 13 stone 4 as of today I'd like to be 9stone 9! So along way to go. Made the porridge for dinner didnt like it :-( does everyone else think that it all tastes of bananas?

Please support me on my journey I'm a first timer x
 
Welcome to the CD Kasiastochaj (do you mind if i call you Kas lol). I didnt like the first 2 types of porridge but liked the original porridge so will ask my CDC if i can change the others to original. Which one did you try?

Im on day 4 so hopefully

Hi, welcome to the diet!

So, I would say you need to try everything once so that you can decide which flavours you do like. If there is anything you are really averse to and have lots of, ask your CDC if you can swap them for something else.

Good luck on your journey, all I can suggest about the starving thing is, its all in your mind! Weekends are hard, you just have to find something to distract you and it will get easier.
 
Hello !! Welcome to the diet... all i can say to you right now, is i promise with all my heart it gets better , just stick at it .... i still have a bit of a moan, but honestly i feel a hundred times better than those difficult first days - once you have your first weigh in it seems to make it feel better ..... just drink loads of water, lie on the sofa and watch tv..... Ahh good luck on your journey u will get used to it quickly, lots of water and keep busy! I hate all the porridges, I stick to the chewy bars and a few of the shakes! Keep going and as the others have said your first wi will spur u on and u will be at goal in no time!!!!
 
Morning all! Right day two feeling better than yesterday. Got work today really hard because it's Sunday lunch day so I'm going to try and stay clear of the kitchen. Ill
Have a shake before i go to work and two when I get in at 6! Don't tend to eat at work. Today and tomorrow will be the test!

So I survived Sunday but yesterday i ended up eating two bags of crisps at work as I was starving! Regretting it now :-( oh well back on track even though it's pan cake day and is my fav food! X
 
Hi. I am on day 2 so similar stage to you. Trying to keep busy, drink lots of water and not give in. Yesterday evening was tough as the kids had garlic bread with dinner and I am normally a total bread addict. Really hoping I can last out the week. Everyone says it gets so much easier when you hit ketosis, so that's my target for now.

It will be worth it in the end!

It's so encouraging to see others who are just beginning! I am on Day 2 and while I'm not as hungry as I thought I would be, I would still love to have some *real* food to eat! However, that's probably because I had my soup 4+ hours ago and won't get home to my shake for another couple of hours.
I had the original flavour porridge yesterday - it reminded me of the glue we used in making paper mache models. I'm hoping the other flavour is better as it would be nice to have something with texture in the diet. My CDC says I won't get bars for another week or two...and I hear they are yummy.

I have a general question - in about 4 weeks I'm going on a ski holiday with friends. Maybe I'm still too new for this, but I can't see skiing all day on SS, nor sticking to shakes and soup on the mountain or in restaurants. What do people do when they go away on vacation?????
