    New to Cambridge Weight Plan

Hello everyone! I started the cambridge weight plan today. Met with my consultant who was lovely and she suggested I try starting on the 810 plan so sole source and having a small meal as well. So far I'm going great probably as I have had such a busy day! My daughter started school and I have exams tomorrow and Wednesday, some may say not a good time to start such a drastic diet but hey when is?!! I have made a pile of spicy lentil soup and i'll have some for tea and freeze the rest. I had cwp leek and potato soup for lunch which if I'm honest tasted a bit plain and powdery but I expected that really!

Any tips/ recipes for 810 plan would be gratefully received and I'm here to offer anyone else support where I can!

    Hi there

I started the same plan last week so have 3 products and a small meal
I either have a chicken breast with some salad leaves cucumber spring onion and green pepper
Or i had courguettes mushrooms cabbage and leek and fried them with a lid on so they cooked in their own juices not oil and added prawns so was like a stir fry. U can use lots of spices to so i use cajun or something
Also have cod with broccoli cauliflower and cabbage
I was told i was allowed balsamic dressing so been using small amounts of that.
    Lost 7lb in first week
    The meal keeps me focused
Done sole source before and just could stick to it so im glad im doin it this way
People told me to melt cottage cheese over some veg to make a bake. Or an omellete with a side salad.
I have two poached eggs and mushrooms too.
Theres quite a few diff meal options u can play around with.
Let me know if u have any nice meals i can use and best of luck
I have 4st to loose and my partner doing it with me
    Xx

I am sure he will be amazed again and pleased when he sees the quick results. I do get sick of people who do think they know enough to preach about this diet being bad!!. I am old enough to have tried most out there and this is the one that suits me. I'm a bit of an all or nothing person. Someone once explained to me that it was a bit like an alcoholic giving up booze. I am addicted to food and you wouldn't give an alcoholic a little drink every day they would have to go cold turkey! Just as I can't just have a little food every day ! I need to go cold turkey and the Cambridge allows me to do that x
My husband only in his 40s fit etc etc is terminally ill and our lives are totally out of our control ! Hence the comfort eating and weight gain !! But I am going to get back some control and lose it, got to. He will support me as he can as he knows how much more miserable carrying this weight makes me and there is enough going on that makes us sad.....Is it day 3 yet...? Seem to recall after day 4 things get a bit easier....Hope you are all doing well x

That is so me- all or nothing!!!. I stupidly went food shopping on day 2!!! But I'm in the zone so I just had a shake!!. Everyone I know has an opinion on Cambridge, that you put the weight straight back on and it's not healthy!!! Makes me mad!!!. Do you have kids?. X

Hey everyone! Nice to hear from people in the same boat! I'm on day two and so far so good! I don't even really feel hungry! I think that's always been my problem even if I wasn't hungry I picked at crisps and stuff so already realising that I wasn't eating cuz I was hungry! I've had a busy week so far my daughter started school yesterday and I had an exam today and another tomorrow so my mind is focused on that rather than food! I've only told my mum, sister, husband and close friend so far as I know people will be negative about me doing it! That's for recipe advice melting cheese sounds good! I haven't planned my meal for tea yet so that's something I need to start doing in advance I think! I drank 6 pints of water yesterday but I'm only on my 3rd so far as I've been out most of today! I'm a coffee junkie so knowing that is unlimited keeps me going too!!

Glad things are busy for you cara and you are sailing through the first days.. On the coffee. I don't drink tea or coffee but an addicted to diet coke ! I know it's really bad but that I won't give up as it keeps me going.
    Ruey .. I have 2 children ... Older though at 17 and 15.....
What are your fav shakes: soups?
I am just living off strawberry tetra packs ( I find them easier for work ) and oriental chilli soup.
What days are your first weigh ins ??

I'm addicted to diet coke too and I get headaches because I'm not having it!!!, I don't drink coffee but I do tea and I actually don't mind it black as long as I have sweeteners. I only have shakes I can't stand the soups, I usually live off the chocolate tetra packs but I'm trying to change it a bit this time so ive got a different lot of flavours. My first weigh in is Monday when's yours? It can't come sooner, I need to see it coming off!.
I've been really drained this afternoon and the kids have been brats since they got in n I just wanted to cry!!!!

Bless you x hope you can get kids sorted and just get into bed and then it's another day done ! My weigh in is Sunday. I'm really struggling too today. But like you not given up. Just kept looking at the skinny girl sat opposite! Lol .... I like the banana tetras too. Like you though I am going to try a variety next week.
I want to put one of those countdown trackers on my profile but have not got a clue how. I am just using my phone to post. I am going to try use proper computer to work out how this site works so I can use it to its full potential. I think it will help keep me going. At the moment I struggle to see when posts go on this thread. We will all have to post our results on here.

I'm in bed already, just pleased to of gotten another day out the way. I'm only using my phone too, I might take a look at it properly over the weekend cos I'd like to chart my progress too. Do you have the bars too?,, they r the only thing that keep me going some days knowing I can have that in the evening!. X

Hello! I'm Lucy, im 33 and started Cambridge 6 days ago and I've lost 5 1/2 llbs! I'm on step 2 so have been having 2 or 3 shakes a day and a meal. I am favouring chicken tandoori (buy the Schwartz spice) and add to fat free yogurt and marinade raw chicken pieces over night then grill until cooked, served with rocket salad and cucumber.... Sooo nice, also had piri piri king prawns (buy Schwartz spice again!) and lettuce and spring onion!
I really need to lose 4 stone and get into some very nice hot pants for a holiday to Marbella with the girls in July!
I also had hypnotherapy the day before I started the diet to help focus me on sticking to the diet and not going out drinking! I highly recommend this, I'm so focused now....
Good luck everyone and lets help each other
