My diary from week 1! Explains everything!
Hi I wanted to start a forum, just as there isn't a lot of very clear ones which give you a real insight to the Cambridge Diet!
Ive been looking for one for ages to give me a little bit of motivation, and a lot had negative comments underneath! Until I found this website :)
So after a year on weight watchers and honestly I got bored of the it. They keep chopping & changing it! And I was spending up to £70.00 through membership & food shopping! Don't get me wrong I lost 3 stone on Weight Watchers but it has taken me so so long!
I decided to look at the cambridge diet which literally takes food completely out of the equation, I looked on the website and found a lady round the corner from me! I emailed her on the Sunday night & she could fit me in the following day at 1! I was so happy! She was so welcoming & lovely. She explained everything to me really clearly & also found out my weight watchers leader does the cambridge!! Anyway, she measured my waist, hips, legs, arms and weighed me to my surprise I was back up to 11'5 stone which on a 5 foot 3 height it shows a lot! I was then given all the sachets apart from cappuccino & butterscotch (never been a fan) and 3 sachets of porridge with a shaker which totalled to £48.50 which shocked me after hearing lighter life prices!
I genuinely love all the shakes, especially toffee & walnut, chocolate, chocolate mint & mango! And all the porridges!
I hated chocolate orange which I thought I would love. I hate water but have managed to drink 2.5 litres a day! I was a major diet coke addict. I did snack on chicken breast slices on day 3 & day 5 I had prawns. Now my cravings have gone & I forgot to drink my shakes today! So I'm guessing I'm in ketosis!
So many people have put this diet down to me, but everyone who's told me its bad is the people who have done it and gone back to eating their old diet, without following the steps back to food! I hope I've helped some people who are wondering about this diet! :) I will keep everyone updated!
