Welcome to the forum personally I don't like the porridge I prefer shakes but from what I have heard they are like marmite some people like them some people don't

Hey, I'm starting today, I had porridge Monday (old stock) and have to say it wasn't my cup of tea, I bought all tetras yesterday. missing milk already, I'm only doing 5 days SS. Hubs and I together so we can help each other.

I had porridge this morning too and I couldn't finish it all as it was horrible. I'm gonna try and finish the weeks other porridge sachets though. I've just had a mint chocolate shake for lunch and I really liked it. I'm gonna have a soup for tea and if I'm hungry then I'll have chicken and veg weighed out. If I'm not starving though I'll avoid it.
I feel strangely liberated at the moment as I don't have to think about food or what I'm going to have. I'm quite enjoying it. Explaining to my friends and going on dates will be hard though as I can only have sparkling water ha ha.
I think I'll just do my best to go to the cinema or for walks to take photos etc so that I can avoid the food situation.

Sorry I only just saw your reply. Have you tried the bars? I'm honking if asking if I can swap my porridge for those if I really can't stand another one in the morning.
I really did like the shake I just had. I'm hoping the soup isn't too bad and I can cope with it. I know it won't be good ha ha.
I currently weigh 12stone 10lbs and want to get down to a flat 8 stone so I have quite a way to go!

I only like the apple porridge but make it with less water so its thicker. I also only like a few of the soups but have tried them all in my first week. Your not to have bars until your second week so I would try hold off if you can![]()
This is my 5th week and my taste has changed I used to love the strawberry shake and now I can't even stand the smell of them hoping a few weeks off them and hopefully I will like them again
Week 1- lost 6.5lbs
Week 2 -lost 2lbs and 3 1/4 inches
Week 3 - lost 4 1/4lbs
Week 4 and 5 - 6 3/4 lbs 5 3/4 inches
week 6 -lost 2.5lb
week 7 - lost 3.5lb
5 weeks off plan. Restarted 9/5/2013 (weighed on my scales this morning)
