Hi Everyone,

I am starting my journey tomorrow in the bid to get healthy! I have successfully lost 30lbs on my own but have stalled I now hope I can get to 12st 5 by June end.. Sounds like a tough challenge but fingers crossed all will be well, I have 2 children my eldest is 5 and my youngest is 7months! I need to do this for me and them..

Let the challenge begin

Nice to meet you all:)

Day 1.. I had my meeting with the consultant today and it official I have started my journey to being a yummy active mummy.. I hope I will not miss red meat, I love a good lamb roast lol... however I shall abstain my next weigh in is May 1st due to consultant being away for a week so that gives me 9 days to hopefully make a difference!

Day2.. I have the most unbelievable migraine and no paracetamol indoors, I will get some when i'm back from the school run. I am trying to time my shakes to see how I get on today I also struggle to drink so much water but I woke up early and had 1 pint..

Day 3.... Stepped on the scale and I am now 14lb 6... Im so excited that's 4lbs loss in a few days!! I don't think I have been measuring my portions properly so I decided to get a digital scale, I am really hoping I can get to 14 stones by next Wednesday, I am walking more and I also have a cross trainer and bike that I haven't had a chance to assemble yet but I will make it my mission to start using it this weekend I am also getting the hang of drinking my water intake I think I might also try to increase it to 3 liters onward and downwards on the scales!

Well done Fifijoshie, you are doing really great! It took me a while to get used to the water intake as well but before you know it, it will just be part of everyday routine! Keep up the good work! :)

Thank you for the encouragement pink tulip, I have surprised myself I thought I would be starving but I am coping ok, yesterday I walked 2 miles and drank 3.5 liters .. Today is day 4 I stepped on the scale this morning and it reads 14st 5lbs!!!!!!!!!!! OMG that's 5lbs loss in 4 days, I hope it doesn't slow down too much, I wouldn't actually mind smashing my mid goal target... I think if I get to 13 stones on week 4 I can most certainly get to 12 by 29th June!

Today I plan to have 3ltr water and when on my way back from school run I will get off the bus 3 stops early and walk the rest that should be an ok amount of walking I will also assemble my cross trainer and try it out!

well done ! i started on monday too and have my first weigh in tonight :eek:! your comment about paracetamol really made me laugh as i was just the same- ibuprofen everywhere but only one paracetamol at the back off the cupboard- which meals have you found the best ?

I was going out of my mind with no paracetamol lol I only like the ready made chocolate velvet i'm not very good at porridge or soup. Good luck with your weigh in let me know how you get on :)

thats good to hear - I bought a variety of sachets this week but really didn't like ( couldn't finish) a few of the meals -just back from my mums birthday lunch where I nursed a glass of water while everyone else tucked in and felt OK about it, so hoping i get my reward come weigh in !

Well done fifi, your doing really well, like you I have 3 chocolate tetras a day, I have tried nearly all of the products and most of them make me gag, I'm on week 8 and am finding it easy now, my first 2 weeks were hard, keep up your great work and good luck with your first weigh in, :)

oooo are the chocolate tetras the ready mixed ? Glad I'm not the only one struggling on the meals:)

Hey Fifijoshie :)

Welcome aboard the Camrbidge wagon haha!!! I started Monday and at a similar weight to you (14st 13lbs) and my goal is also in the 12's by end of June as we are (fingers and toes and everything crossed) going on holiday in July! It would be nice to follow you and see how you are getting on as we have a similar journey ahead?

I love that there are a few new beginners/restarters at the moment, feels like we aren't in it alone lol x x x

I had to remind myself tp have my last carton today as I felt full hopefully the scale will be my friend tomorrow as i've not walked as much today but I did drink 3ltrs today..

They are 200mls, its more difficult dieting when your not 100% I am waiting for my down day but according to the consultant if ive not been unwell in first week chances are I wont have any later side effects except constipation

Thank you Fifi - am so chuffed this morning, my scales (which to be fair aren't perfect) are reading another 2 or 3 off which would be 7 or 8 off on day 5 ... Sounds too good to be true but has put a smile on my face anyway ;)... Out to lunch with a friend today so taking my balsamic vinegar to add to chicken and leaves which my CDC said would be fine ( unless anyone has any better ideas?) Hope you all have a good day ?
