Step2 810kcal Road to maintenence

So, I weighed in tonight... 6lbs off, cant quite believe I'm saying that at this stage. So I'm 1.5lbs off my goal of 9 stone 6.5lbs and at my biggest I was 16 stone 4lbs. This is (probably) my last week on step 2... I say probably as im petrified of moving up the steps haha but I'm finally a healthy bmi now and dizzy spells are becoming more frequent so I think my body is telling me its time to move on up.

So thought I'd start a diary keeping tabs of the individual days hopefully helping others up the steps too.

But for now step 2 continues... off for my final product, chewy orange bar and a huuuge cup of tea!!

Hope everyone is having a fanstastic week.

Keep drinking that water :)

Well done , i have read lots of your posts over the last few weeks and you have been a real inspiration!

Aww thank you hun, im glad its inspirational and not boring blabber or moaning... but some of it is definitely moaning haha

Okay so... I have been doing some proper research into step 3, made myself a food plan for a week starting next week and a shopping list which I can go and buy after weigh in next Tuesday. I firmly believe the key to the steps is planning ahead and I've definitely done that lol. I plan to stay on step 3 for a good few weeks but step 4 and 5 seem like they are going to work out pretty expensive therefore ill do them as quick as I can.

What seems very strange to me is after 30 weeks, yes I've been doing this 30 weeks... but after 30 weeks of SS and step 2, step 3 seems like a normal amount of food when in reality it is still very little.

Can anyone already on step 3 shed some light on the evening meal? Do you have a 50kcal piece of fruit on top of the meal? Im scared of all this food. It seems so much haaaa!!

Im very intrigued to read all about your journey! From 16st 4lbs to 9st 6lbs in 30 weeks? Thats amazeballs!!! Well done chick! Do you have a diary?

Also thankyou for this diary, I have been worried about moving up the steps myself and I am only on week 3 lol! But I have done CWP before and found it scary then, so I am thankful to have someone else's week by week account of moving up this time round :) x x x

Unfortunately I didn't keep a diary through out my loss but wishing I had done. Thank you so much I feel amazing but must say it definitely took my brain longer to loose the weight than it took my body for ages i was still picking up bigger sizes and found it very hard to believe was an 8 - 10.

After all my research last night im excited to start step 3 now... ohh how lovely it will be to eat some nice fruit! Breakfast day 1 planned... chocolate mix a moose with straberries *thumbs up* ooohh I cannot wait.

But the thought for today is definitely exercise!! This time in 7 weeks I will be sunning it up in Turkey and have decided I will wear a bikini. So I have got a toning dvd and have committed to doing this 3 times a week with sit ups other days. I also plan to start the c25k programme once im on step 3... however I might well be all talk :).

Hope everyones having a good day!!

Sounds fab LMS! Size 8-10, wow! I cannot wait to be that size! I know exactly what you mean about your brain having to catch up with your body, when I did CWP first time round, I was a size 10 top 12 bottom and was still picking up 14's and 16's and being weirded out when they were miles too big lol. Totally forgetting I had shrunk. But it happens so fast doesnt it? To go from fat to thin in less than a year is mind-blowing!

How are you finding step 3 so far? x x x

I think your right, because it happens so fast your brain must think whooowa whats going on here. And from past experiences my brain must have been thinking awch she'll put it all back on soon... she always does!! Ha ha oh no no no no not this time brain... the weight is gone for good. Today at work I was watching everyone eating biscuits and Its so strange to think how far I've come. 6 months ago I would have been all over those biscuits like no ones business but now I don't even want one... so stange but strangely empowering at the same time.

I definitely need to find a new focus though... now im so close to goal weight I need to find a new goal. So tonight im thinking the next goal will definitely be c25k. But does anyone know what a good time is to be able to run 5k. I mean initially it will get done as quick as it's done. The programme takes 9 weeks but following some research some people have repeated weeks if they've felt the need. God I just know im going to look like a burst tomato for the first few weeks after exercise but hoping this will get better lol.

Ive not started step 3 yet... I thought I'd have one more week on step 2 as up until now I have not been very adventurous litrally juat eating eggs, broccoli, lettuce and tuna for my step 2 meal but I have now bought a food steamer and everything tastes amazing out of it so ive been making chicken and prawns and lots of different things. Must say I am a little worried about water retention this week as I know that can happen when introducing new foods but hey ive only had what im allowed and the scales will say what they'll say so no use worrying! !

Hope your having a good day

Good for you chick! Tell that brain of yours that you are hot and the hotness is here to stay lol! I need to take some of my own advice haha.

I wrote a very similar comment on my diary about a feeling of empowerment when I realised that I physically don't want junk food anymore. Its an amazing feeling isn't it! But you're right, it's very strange too :/ Not what I am used to at all. But I have done CWP before and remember feeling like this and it helped me get through it and almost to goal (fell preg lol) so I hope it will be the same this time round!

Im not sure about the c25k as I haven't done much research on it but I think a goal of exercise and sculpting your new body is fab! Thats something I'd love to do once at goal!

Using a steamer is fabulous for this plan, especially as the foods aren't of much variety and fairly bland, so the steamer keeps all the flavours and makes such a difference. Thats what I started to do previously. I was very thankful for my steamer lol.

Im sure the scales will keep a smile on your face! Not that you need it but good luck anyway chick x x x

YAY! glad I found your diary, starting to have major freak outs and insecurity about what I should actually be doing right now (steps wise!), and since I'm only a few weeks behind you I need you to tell us everything!!

I'm now 11lbs off of target and it feels like I'm never gonna get there! think its gonna be another 2lb loss this week (well it was this morning and 1 day wont make that much difference!)

I'm sorry since i'm sure I've asked you before.... whats's your weight now? and what have your losses on step 2 been like so far?

Hey hun, ive been so rubbish at my diary haha but I start step 3 on wednesday so will update daily then. Last tuesday I weighed in at 9 stone 8lbs. My losses on step 2 have averaged about 2lbs - 2.5lbs which was scary to start with as they had slowed considerably but I kinda figured I maybe couldn't expect much more with my bmi being healthy now. It really wouldnt be healthy for our bodies to be loosing 4lbs a week when it already thinks were actually healthy. Why are you freaking out? Because the losses are getting smaller. My theory on it... and which has worked for my body was the closer to a healthy bmi that I got the more calories I needed or my body freaked out and tried to hold onto as much as it could however im sure this isnt a scientific fact and everyones bodies are different.

If you dont mind me asking whats your current weight and bmi?

Oh I like your theory, though saying that when i went from SS to SS+ a couple of weeks back I had a 3.5lb loss, which was pretty impressive compared to the 2lbs I had the week before and will have this week! Though I am intrigued about you loosing 2-2.5 on step 2 - makes me wonder if I should just say screw it, since I'd love to eat some chick peas and lentils again!

I'm currently (as of this morning) 10st 4lbs taking my BMI to just under 24 - so I am in the healthy range. want to get to just under 9.5stone, I guess i'm freaking out since the losses slowed down all of a sudden, and so suddenly I won't be at target when I had planned to be :-(

Okay.. day 1 of step 3!! I'm excited but nervous about starting to introduce more carbs... mint chocolate mix a moose and strawberries this morning for breakfast... yuuum!! Oh everything tastes so fantastic after months of shakes...think ill miss my 3rd product though but onwards and upwards. I'm determined to keep this weight off.

Will update later with how my days been. Feel like there is a lot of food involved but for now im off food shopping, eeeeee!!

Okay so day one is going well. Feeling so much better today, my body was definitely telling me it was time to move up a step! I'm really worried about water retention this week but what will be will be, it'll come off again!

So today has consisted of;
Breakfast - mint chocolate mix a moose with strawberries... Oh my, gorgeous!!
Lunch - small salad with chicken. Added in some strawberries and apple from my daily allowance (150kcal breakfast fruit option can be spread throughout the day) believe it or not apple is lovely in a salad :).
Dinner - chicken, couscous, mushrooms and pickled cabbage with a bottle of sparkling water with orange flavouring.
Snack - will be a bar later.

I'm also meant to have a 50kcal fruit as pudding but don't know if ill fit that in... Cd consultant said this was okay, no point eating for the sake of it. I also find 245g of chicken a lot therefore I split that over lunch and dinner. So far so good :).

Day 1 sounds lovely LMS! Will it be a similar sort of day tomorrow? x x x

So I have just realised this is the start of week 32... Ive not had a bar of chocolate/bag of crisps/biscuit or anything like that for 31 weeks...crazy. only one bonofy pie and a cake at a very special cake shop when on holiday at home a few weeks ago.

Its crazy how much this diet changes your attitude towards food... these things have been readily available to me and I can honestly say that now I decline them because I dont actually want them not because I'm on a diet.

Yes, today is pretty much planned the same as yesterday although I had some banana with my moose this morning... I think banana might possibly be the thing I've missed the most... its so yummy. Unfortunately due to its high sugar content you dont get all that much on step 3 but I feel like you got a lot of other food on step 3. I was full as a bull by then end of last night haha.

Tomorrow will be my first day at work since starting step 3 so will need to get planning this afternoon. Will need to take breakfast and lunch with me. Oh id forgotten what a chore making lunch for work was hehe

Hope everyone is having a good diet day... will post later!!

I am loving step 3 mainly because I love fruit and now and can reintroduce it :). And museli is one of my favs too #thumbsup# however definitely seeing some water weight on the scales AND I am freaking out about the amount of quorn mince I have just measured out for tea... 275g is loads... practically the whole family sized pack, im looking at it thinking that cant be right but after checking and better checking the book loan behold 275g is right... what a ridiculously large amount of mince to eat, I'm loathed to say it but I'm feeling a small bit mad haha imagine encouraging us to eat that much. Wtf surely ive gone wrong somewhere yes, no... someone please tell me they have also found this is a huge amout of quorn.

Anyway away from the quorn issue I'm rubbish at updating this diary. Yesterday consisted of

Breakfast - chocolate mix a moose with banana and strawberries.
Lunch - salad and fruit (from breakfast/daily allowance).
Dinner - spicy chicken, rice, mushrooms and cauliflower (yuck, forgot I didnt like it... wont be having that again)
Snacks - apple and bar.

Today

Breakfast - museli and milk and a bar.
Lunch - salad and fruit (fruit is meant to be a pudding after evening meal but I find it too much so have it at lunch)
Dinner - a stupidly large amount of quorn (surely im wrong... I'll just never believe it haha) mushrooms (sure you've noticed the obsession) couscous and pickled cabbage.
Snack - shake

Today was my first day at work since starting step 3. I'm a nurse and work shifts. Today was a 7-3 shift, was a bi worried as the last 2 days the afternoon's seem to have dragged and ive been feeling hungry however today has proved to me that it wasnt hunger that id been feeling it was boredom as today ive only felt hungry when it was coming up to meal time! Phew!

Oh I'm off to the quorn now! Oh my!!

I have not had the quorn yet LMS but I have seen the family bags and I can imagine that being ample amounts of mince, clue is in the name 'family sized' really lol! Could you not spread the mince out over the day that you are having it, like for lunch and dinner? How is it anyway? Is it a satisfying substitute to meat mince?

You seem really focused! Your food diary looks amazing and I think you will do well maintaining, like you said, your whole mindset towards food totally changes!

Well done chick x x x

Today I am not liking step 3... I feel bloated and like ive piled on the lbs but ive stuck to it 100% well okay I might have went a teensy little but over my milk allowance... so shoot me! I think it's the added carbs... scary times. I hope dont see much water weight on the scales... I am totally in the zone and motivated at the minute I dont want anything to knock me off. I was thinking to myself today that I cannot let this weight return as I could imagine the second time on cd will definitely not be an easy thing and I cant imagine ever going down to 3 packs again. Determination!!

Quorn is lovely, I would use it as a substitute in a curry or spag bol... something saucy but maybe not for a chicken breast or anything. I split the pack over lunch and tea today and it was perfect. Was still totally full after tea but felt like id had a more substantial lunch.

Im desperate to get weighed haha I dont like to count on my home scales, and not been on the for a few days haha.

Today -
Breakfast - museli and milk
Lunch - 100g quorn pieces with lettuce and an apple.
Dinner - 175g quorn, lettuce, picked cabbage and 40g couscous.
Snacks - shake and bar.

On the plus side my bowels appear to be becoming more regular since starting step 3. And getting the water in is a lot easier as I find im thirstier after eating.

I hope someone will find my ranting/diary useful!! :)

Hope everyones had a good day :)
