Hi All,

I am on day 1 of a journey that is hopefully going to change my life. Had my first meeting last night with my counsellor and I really like her - I know we are going to get on! She was very motivational and has faith in me so I can't let her down!

I currently weigh 17st 10lb and my goal is 11st 10lb which is the top end of my acceptable BMI range. So that's exactly 6 stone to lose!! No too sure on a time frame but we shall see what happens. My husband has been roped in to ensuring I have no temptations - I can do this!!

I would love to share my journey and listen to your experiences too! We can all be in this together!

Had my first shake today - choc mint - was nicer than I expected!

Hi good luck with your journey, how's your 1st day been?
I'm on ss+ 6 weeks and I've Lost 22lbs (last
Monday) so should me more now as 5 days more ;) I must say its been a doddle for me but the evening meal is always lettuce,cucumber and tuna (getting boring now) but its the most filling meal.... Really need new meal ideas,

Good luck - drink plenty in the first few days and keep busy- they can be hard but does get a lot easier- my 10 week weigh in was 4 stone off( out of 9) and it has flown by- so 6 stone could be gone before you know it:)
 
Best of luck Lauren, you can do it - after the first week you'll notice a big difference in your clothes and that will spur you on :D
 
Hi everyone! Thanks for your encouraging replies!

I am on day 2 now and its going ok. I do not like the soups I have tried but have found solace in chocolate mint shakes!

I am determined!

I must admit though I do feel hungry. Just been to a BBQ and it was very hard being around all my fave food (dad is a butcher and does an awesome BBQ!). I did it though! Woop!

Hope you are all getting on fine too. I just can't wait for the hunger to pass!
 
Hi Lauren...im on day 6 and i must say that the hunger pangs have frizzled out although yesterday was a struggle as i felt ill plus i had hayfever but it did pass except the dam hayfever. Im looking forward to my first weigh in on monday. Wish u all the best on your journey. X
 
Had a sneaky weigh this morning and I've lost 7 lbs already! So pleased with myself. I'm now on day 4 and its getting easier.

My willpower was well and truly tested this weekend as we went to 2 BBQ's and there was a lovely buffet at church sunday afternoon! I just watched everyone eat lol. I'm on SS+ so I had some chicken and lettuce. So exciting!
 
Well done lauren thats grt especially going to bbqs and not giving into temptation. Its all about willpower. Keep it up.
 
Hi Lauren hope you r getting on ok. I lost 5.5lbs. Really wanted more than that but its fine
 
Hi I started ss last Thursday had my weigh mon so 5 days of ss+ n lost 8lbs but he did mention something bout water so would it have been more not sure??? I am loving few flava shakes n I have. 200kcal meal loving salad n chicke. With seasoning especially in this lush weather good luck to you guys!!

Kayem im not even having a 200 cal meal but just doing 2 ltrs of water. Well im making sure im having 3 ltrs or more now so lets see if that make a difference. Well done on ur grt loss
 
Hi suki I drink bout 2 n half litres of water with my shakes, I was going to go straight to shakes mon meal but had rough first few days so decided to have a meal out of the book n felt fine n cause I enjoy the food consultant said do that step for now n maybe change in few weeks but 8lb lost in 5 days is fab would be more if was 7 days :) well happy n feeling better in myself!!
 
Definately would be more. See i didnt even get a book..or anything just my packs. Is there some sort if starting pack that u get. My CDC emailed me a list of foods that i could have and thats it. Im just waiting for emails from cdcs that could possibly be in my area. Also does ur cdc come to u?
 
Hi yes he does come to me n my 2 other friends but some don't all depends, I got a book with each step in n foods I can have etc quite handy I was told either ss+ a or b u loose the same weight so it's 4 shakes or 3 n a meal but I think cause I ended up with some horrible shakes they were making me feel sick n I just wanted food but got yummy shakes now :) I gonna try the bars next week
 
Ahh thats good. I know abt the shakes..i couldnt stomach the mango one. Ive got a cappuchino 1 might see how that goes. I also cant wait for the bars either.
 
I love the choc mint, choc n butterscotch. I use my smoothie maker n put ice in with it so its like a frappe yummy, I can have them from next week the bars which I will be having one of these in the evening when I want to nibble, I'm shocked iv stuck to it religiously but I got a special wedding next year n a holiday which I wana be slim for, my lovely dad has given me a incentive to loose it by giving me. £100 per a stone which is v helpful :)
 
Yes the choc mint is lush. I do the same with my shakes. Thats a huge incentive..is there a reason why its that amount of money? Lol. Do u have much to lose. Im looking to lose abt 4 stone. Im down to 15st 10 now.
