HI all this is start of my journey! My start weight is 13st11lb but I am only 5ft2in so I really want to get down to 9st. My weight has piled on since injuring my knee some years back and also 2 pregnancy's and having just turned 40 I need to make the change!
This is day 3, find it easy in the day at work but at home it's so difficult being around the food the family are having! I hope I am strong enough to stick at it!!

A big welcome! Congratulations on making the big decision to change your life. It's such a big step. This place is so great for motivation and support. I'm not sure I would have got through my first week 100% without these ladies!

I've also just started after having 2 children and being 5 sizes bigger than I used to be! I had my first weigh in last night and lost just over 9lbs.

Even if you find this week very hard, it'll be so worth it when you see those scales on weigh in day!! Best of luck. We're all here if you need us x
 
Oops finger happy! I'm meant to say even after 2 days my work skirt is a bit more comfortable than it usually is! Had a headache though which I am hoping will disappear completely as it's not helping!!

I had an awful headache day 2 & 3 of this diet but I know it was because I wasn't drinking enough water. Make sure your drinking all the time :) glad you can feel the difference already yay!! x
 
I don't think I am drinking enough!! I find it the hardest part, day 4 today and even though my head isn't banging I can feel its not right. I am sitting on the train this morning watching everyone drinking their latte's and a week ago that was me. I can already feel the difference in my work skirt!!!
 
Well day 4 is nearly over and I have to say the headache is getting me down and I am fed up of drinking! If it wasn't for my head I would be quite happy although my stomach is rumbling tonight! I know I need to keep getting the water down me but as I'm weeing loads u don't think I'm dehydrated. Fingers cross will feel great tomorrow!!! Sx
 
It could also be the detox giving you headache, although the water will help (although clearly not enough to take the head ache away completely). Right now on day 4 your stomach will be nearly empty of the stuff you ate before starting LT and all the caffeine. Fat, sugar, carbs, chemicals, E numbers and other rubbish will be coming out of your system. You may also find it starts coming out of your skin too (several of us sweated quite heavily for a few days), but the good news is that you should start to feel better anytime from here onwards as it shouldn't take long to go through this bit.
Just hang in there, take some paracetamol, get some early nights if you can and then suddenly one morning you'll wake up feeling really good and have energy again, no headache and not hungry. This is the bit we all strive for as it means ketosis has finally kicked in. You're so close, don't give up,
 
Thank you I think you're right!!! I hoping tomorrow will be a better day! I have been so busy as well not stopped for a minute which doesn't help!!

I find consuming the water really hard too. I dislike water so hate having to drink so much of it a day! How are you feeling today? x
 
Better than yesterday!! I wouldn't say the headache has completely gone as I can feel a bit of a tingling at the side of my head! I am prone to hormone headaches which last about 3 days so I am starting to think it may be one of them at the same time!! I am constantly drinking water so fingers crossed it will pass!!

Does anyone else have this constant debate with themselves about whether you should be doing this!! I seem to have this devil in my head constantly!!!
 
Hey Sian,

You just need to stay 100% focused. It's all a battle of the mind. I haven't had any temptation because all I can think about is the fact that i'll be a size 12 in 10 weeks Max.
Once you've reached the 2 week mark you can also get water flavourings which will make the water intake a little easier.
When you get into ketosis you'll feel more thirsty so you will keep drinking.
Just stay strong and remember food is for energy. It's not your friend or comforter. It may taste nice for a few minutes but afterwards its pointless.
All these yummy foods will still be available once your at goal as a treat so just stick with it and drink away!

Well headache has gone, at last!! Really hoping that's it now as I haven't been hungry it's only the headache I've struggled with! First weigh in tomorrow!! : )
