Today is my first day doing the Cambridge Weight Plan!

I had my first meeting with the consultant yesterday and picked up my "food" for the next 7 days.

On the menu today: warm chocolate mint for breakfast, butterscotch for lunch (is it better hot or cold?) and a chocolate orange bar for tea.

I have 16 shakes and 5 bars for this week, and will be doing 21 shakes next week, as my consultant said it was better to stay away from the bars for the first week after I'd already ordered them.

Height: 5'8"
SW: 13 st 13lbs
Goal for November: Lose 20lbs
 
Thank you! Really excited to get this weight shifted, and I've talked to quite a few people who said they felt really great after the first couple of weeks, and their skin and all was brill (I'm guessing because you're 100% getting all your vitamins, and you're super hydrated!) so that's helping me stay motivated too :) xx
 
Ahh, I am sooo hungry. I have tried to space out my meals today, and I had an alarm on to eat half of my bar for today at 1:15pm, but I've caved and had a quarter of it now. Not loving the flavour, depending on the others I probably won't be getting the chocolate orange bar again!
 
It really will pass, the first few days are definitely the worst but once you've done it you will feel so much better, plus just think how you will feel when you get on the scales that first time and see a massive weight loss :D
 
Ah, thanks guys! I know it will pass, it's just keeping a firm resolve when everyone else is eating, I'm so scared of accidentally putting something in my mouth (without thinking!) that it's all I have thought about today!
 
2lbs down on this morning's weight after my first day! Pretty sure that's water retention disappearing but it was so nice to see and worth sticking to the diet while my family are my favourite Turkish food in front of me, lol!
 
Woke up this morning with the start of an almighty headache. Stocked up on peppermint tea and paracetamol, sat at work with a pint of carbonated water (I presume this is allowed?!) and a large mug of peppermint tea. I reckon I'll be downing pills every 4 hours today if I have a hope of getting anything done!

It's great, but not the same as a nice breakfast brew with milk :( I've had my lunch already because my colleagues were eating and I was like ahh FOOD. So now I have 6 hours to go before my tea!
 
You will get used to it! :)...the first couple of days I was starving and i'm on day 10 today and don't feel hungry at all! xx
 
you got passed the Turkish meal you can do it! it in doubt have a glass water gives your tummy something to think about before it realises its been duped

Ahh, thanks for the support folks!

I'm having a really bad afternoon :( so tempted to cave at least 3 separate times now! My colleagues are eating delicious hand cut chips and salted caramel squares, and I am so hungry and have such a bad headache!

I've had at least 6 pints of water so far today, plus some peppermint teas... I need to keep my eyes on the goal and I know I'm going to feel worse than this for the next couple of days which is really difficult! But anyway, I need to just keep remembering that all that yummy food will still be there after Christmas when I've reached my goal and I've got a better relationship with food.
 
Just remember the food wont make you feel any better...it will probably make you feel worse!! x
 
I did it! I have just had my third "meal" and am out of the danger zone as there's nothing tempting to eat in our house at the minute and I feel too ill to get up anyway!

This afternoon was awful - it dragged out for SO long and all I could think about was sausage baguettes and chips, and caramel squares.

But then I got home and looked at myself in the mirror and remembered that my thighs are the same width as my colleague's waist (23in. - she's very short and very petite!) and realised that I can totally do this. I know this is going to be hard, but I'm not wasting the guts of £50 a week by cheating - I'm only cheating myself!
