Starting tomor...need friends and support please!

Hi all, I am 17 stone.. I have hashimotos hypothyroidism, but not recieving treatment yet. I have got my cambridge shakes today and am starting the diet tomor on the SS programme. The doctor has advised me that the weight loss might be slower but at least I have a chance of losing something! I have gained 7 stone in 3 years, I want to get down to 10 stone again, but small steps... I tried this diet 3 years ago but gave up after 2 weeks, I know it works and I know I can do this.

Any help, advice and support will really help to change my life. I need motivation please help!!!

not a great start...left my shakes at home when went to work! i had an omelette in canteen and will start tonight! doh!!!
 
Hey skinny2bmeI am starting properly this week! I have been on and off for the last couple of weeks but am cross with myself for wasting my money on products if i am not going to use them properly!Hopefully we can motivate and support each other through the coming days!I think you are doing the right thing by saying you'll start tonight rather than tomorrow! The sooner you can start the better! =)Are you having 3 or 4 shakes a day? I am on 3 and have my first one at lunch time as i don't really feel hungry to then!I hope your day is going well =) xx
 
hi! would love to have a buddy whilst doing this. i eat mainly out of habit. i have just finished work and naturally and wanting to just graze. im not even hungry. but the think is i love eating. i love food. it makes me happy and fills the gap of so much in my life. will i be able to do this. please help me!!!! how much do u want to lose?

oh and im having 3 shakes a day even though it should very 4 i think. i will just have some chicken if i get really hungry x
 
Hiya. If you're supposed to be having 4 shakes i would try my best to have all 4, hopefully then you wont want the chicken! Obviously if you are going to cheat and eat (as SS doesn't include food) then go with protein like a little chicken or a couple of boiled eggs. It really helps if you can do SS completely by the book for at least the first week. When i did it properly i lost 15lbs in the first week and that was so motivating it made the future weeks much easier! Have you got all shakes or some soups as well? i don't really enjoy the soups but i can cope with the chicken and mushroom one occasionally! I like the veg drink more if i fancy something savoury! i pretty much live on the chocolate tetra packs! i like to put a choc tetra and a banana one in the freezer for about an hour so they get really cold and then blitz them together for a more substantial delicious shake for my dinner! If you drink lots of water and try and keep busy/distracted you'll be fine! i'll come on here regularly so if you need a distraction this can be a good one! I have about 4 stone to lose but my first goal is 1.5stone! I have only lost 4lb so far because i haven't been sticking to it! naughty! Good luck and have faith in yourself! x

Thanks JR! Replacing my white wine with shakes is going to be hard! Do you know when I meet the CDC tonight, if i will need to sign up for a week, 2 weeks or a months! Do they stipulate a minimum!
 
i meant recommend! apologies for my spelling! =) You dont have to sign up for any set period! i get my stuff a week at a time and where i was naughty the other week i only needed half a week's worth of shakes the following week and my consultant was fine (apart from tutting at my naughtiness!). That's the good thing about CWP it's really flexible yet supportive! x
 
Ok cool talk to you after your appointment! Make sure you go easy on carbs on your last supper! you dont want it to be too much of a shock to the system tomorrow!! =) x
 
Good luck girls, I'm on week 7 now and it really does work :) the support from here is great too, not sure I would have coped otherwise

So I have decorated my Christmas tree, hoovered all through, washed up and cleaned the cooker hob! Who needs dinner anyway!! =) Hope you guys are doing well! x
 
I went! I weighted 13st 5lb. Better than I thought! Picked 21 sachets and now having a pad Thai and half a bottle of cava before I embark! Gotta feeling I'm going to need you lovely ladies xx
 
That's good, I was less than I thought on my first weigh in as well!! Enjoy your last supper and make sure you're prepped ready to begin tomorrow! What sachets did you go for? x
 
I have the porridge for breakfast, lots of chocolate shakes as per your advice, some soups, leek and potato, chicken and mushroom and oriental. Also had a free saucer of rice pudding! Day 1-3 will be hard. I'm hoping to be in the 12's next week. Do you have a goal for this week?
 
I can't wait to try the rice pudding! I have my weigh in tomorrow so my goal for the week after that will be to stick to SS for the week BUT I have to go out for dinner Wednesday night and I would cancel but I've already paid for it! (Work thing!) I want to be focused enough to not let one cheat night ruin the whole week! The first few days can be hard, I mainly get headaches but that's about it. As soon as you get into ketosis things get much easier! If you stick to it you will definitely be well into the 12's by next week! I'll let you know my goal after tomorrow's weigh in!
 
Hi guys can I join you? Have started low-carbing today as have to wait 2 weeks to get my packs. Got down to 13 st 1lb at the start of the year for my wedding but piled it all back on again plus an extra 10lb. I'm in this for the long haul now xx
