Wouldnt it be so fab if it were that easy………………..

I’m going to keep a diary to try and help me stay focussed and hopefully on the right track. Previously I made diaries and made bold statements about how I would accomplish all these grand goals and then would feel a complete failure if I didn’t and go completely off track!

Lots of things (good, bad and horrendous) have happened over the last few years, far too many to go into, but now I finally feel like I am in the right place to make some lifelong changes and say bye bye to all this extra weight I am lugging around.

This diary is for me to read and add to daily and I’ve found some great inspirational websites with fab pics and quotes to help me and just take each day as it comes.

Day 1 -
So far today I’ve had a porridge for breakfast, choc shake for lunch and 1L of water. Am just drinking my 2nd litre as I’m on here and intend on having the 3rd litre at my friends tonight. She won’t tempt me with Xmas goodies as she has done SS before so knows what it’s like.

Hey Jessica! I can relate to your story and am also in a similar position. It's time to make changes and to finally feel content with ourselves :) I begin SS on the 4th Jan so look forward to seeing your progress and getting through this together x

Good luck!!!!!!

I have started ss today. I know how you feel but it's a new year and here's to a new you. You can do it :)

Have just polished off 'tea' in the shape of a hot chocolate and am off to my friends to catch up and glug my final litre.

One thing I have noticed today is getting back in tune with my body. I have spent the last few years grazing and snacking all day and night and never really being 'hungry' and also eating for the sake of it because of the time - e.g. teatime, lunchtime etc. But when I did CD the twice before my body told me every 4 hours it needed feeding and I got into the habit of eating at 8, 12 and 4.

I am soooo amazed at how quickly my body has responded to this as true enough 4 hours after my first and second shake my tum said - FEED ME and now once 'eaten' I feel satisfied and 'full'.

They always say three things about this diet -
1) you have to be in the right frame of mind to do it
2) you have to 'choose' to do it as a lifestyle change rather than feeling you 'have' to do it
3) If you are a restarter, you can never recapture the original magic of the first time you did it and perhaps the one-minded determination of not letting a single morsel pass your lips apart from CD products.

Well...... based on this I have got 1 and 2 sorted and as for 3 well I'm going to give it a damn good shot and not 'sneak' the odd bit of protein here and there thinking it won't hurt.

The first time I did this I stuck to it religiously (8 yrs ago) and then the 2nd time I did it (4 yrs ago) I was a bit partial to a bit of protein when the mood took me, but it did take a heck of alot longer to get the weight off.

So this time I feel like I've had enough of a break from doing the diet that I'm going to try my hardest and get there ASAP and be healthy for the rest of my life!

Been manically busy today - loads of errands to run and getting stuff ready for going back to work mon. Hanging in there for day 2 and it's done and dusted. Had 2 hot chocs and a chicken and mushroom poppadum was nice to chew! Had 2l of water and going to chill tonight catching up on soaps with dd.

Day 3 - Again had a manic day of things but have stayed on track so day 3 done and dusted!
Spent 2 hours in a shopping complex in the car marking work for work whilst dd went shopping with her best mate. Managed to glug 1L of water whilst doing it and kept me away from temptation. Had chicken and mushroom ‘crisps’ for tea and they were lush - oh so nice to crunch!
Thanks Everyone else being on track is helping me loads

Hi, well done on day 3. Can I ask how do you make 'crisps'? I'm intrigued

Well........ It's a recipe from when I originally did it - you can also make a 'poppadum'

Basically get any savoury pack and empty it into a small bowl. Then add a small amount of water enough to make it into a runny paste - bit like icing ; ) and mix it up.

Then get a piece of brown baking parchment (don't use grease proof paper it doesn't work in the same way and ruins it you will probably cry as I did because it's a waste of a pack and you have nothing else to eat : (

Then get the spoon and get a bit of mixture and spread about a crisp size on the paper and keep repeating until you have loads of spots on it.

Once you have done that you need to microwave them for about 1 minute - 1.5 mins depends on your microwave. I've only just started making them again so it's trial and error and I just keep putting them back in for 10 seconds until they are ready. You will know this when they start to turn a bit brown.
Bring them out and let them cool before taking them off the parchment as they crisp up as they cool and it's easier.

Once you have done this on one sheet keep doing it until you use all the mixture bad depending on how big or thick you make them you can make a fair few 20 - 30.

If you don't want the faff of small crisps you can use all the mixture on one sheet and make it look like a poppadum. Again put it in the microwave - and keep checking every 30 seconds incase it burns.

Hope this helps

Erm.....I don't think that you are meant to do this with your products because it depletes their nutritional value. There are numerous posts in this forum about it and I'm sure your consultant would agree if you asked them about it. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news....! I found this out after I told my other half I wanted to try and make muffins out of one pack... :-(

Brill keep it going :) Starting on Fri myself!
