Hey everyone
I'm starting SS tomorrow as I desperately need to lose 2 stone before my holiday which is 4 weeks away today.
Some may think I've left it a bit late but I've been trying since the 2nd Jan and have got no where. The first 6 weeks were healthy eating, protein shakes, insanity DVDs everyday at home but nothing apart from maybe my wobbly bits weren't quite as wobbly. I then thought I'm running out of time and decided to do atkins induction. I done that for 4 weeks and after losing 7lb in the first week (water I guess) I then over the next 3 weeks gradually out it back on. I was fuming!! especially as I've stuck to it religiously. Even the guys on this forum didn't know what the reason was. So, now I'm here after 10 weeks of trying other alternatives (easier alternatives!) and I'm getting desperate.
The Cambridge lady said she wasn't sure if I can do it in that time scale but I'm going to try for sure!!
So tomorrow if the big day and I hope to god I see some results this time or else I just won't know what to do.

Day 1 and Im starving already!!!! I havent even had breakfast yet but I dont think the porridge is going to cut it. Im going to try and fill myself up on black coffee and water before giving in and having my first product.
 
Ok, Ive had my first meal of the day, the pecan and maple porridge and surprisingly I feel kinda full....? I didnt think I would as the portion was so small but Im pleasantly surprised by it.
Ive had a litre of water already and 2 black coffees and a peppermint tea (Im used to drinking 5 litres of water a day anyway so I dont think I will have any issues drinking the daily recommended amount).
I have an exercise DVD to complete later on tonight and Im hoping to see a little weight loss tomorrow morning, just as a little encouragement to keep me going.
I am offsite for work tomorrow and Weds, so will find it harder to stick to I should imagine as there is normally plenty of food and drinks going around, which I need to say no to.
I also have a 3 hour body combat marathon on Saturday to complete, I know its going be difficult but I will just take it slow - I just keep thinking of my bikini body I need to get, 27 days and counting!

I just wanted to say GO YOU! I am pretty much in exactly the same position as you, (I contacted my cambridge lady 5mins ago so will hopefully be starting next few days).
I started in Jan same as you healthy eating, exercise dvds, and to be fair I have gone from 14st 4lbs - 13stone 4lbs, 13st 7lbs (fluctuating between the two) very annoying when
you have stuck to it. I want to be between 9st 7lbs and 10st by 16th June for a wedding. As we have similar start weights and goals I think we should share and enccourage eachother through the process what do you think? Im new to mini mins too (so bare with me)
 
Hey Kelly, thanks!!!! And sure that sounds great, and I think support and encouragement is whats needed to get you through sometimes! Let me know when your start date is and we can compare notes/stories :)
I am so looking forward to being slim.

Well done on your weight loss so far, thats amazing!! I would be really pleased with that, having not lost anything this year so far (10 weeks) but trying very hard to do so it very frustrating indeed and so this will hopefully help and get the weight off. Having a goal will help too, just focus on that when times get tough.

Definitely! I am just waiting to hear back from my Cambridge coach. I should be happy I guess but thats the heaviest I have evvver been.
I am 5ft 4in and was always slim in school, college then university in 2003 - 2006 I went from a size uk 10 to a 16/18 stayed that size till
I thought enough was enough when I hit 13st in Dec 2010 and lost 3 stone by Dec 2011 by healthy eating and exercise.... met the love of my life
and it all creeped back on up to even heavier than my heaviest. So I feel a bit back at square 1 now I have got myself down a bit, I hope the 3 - 3.7 st
falls off with cambridge and exercise dvds (paid for them now) haha. As soon as I meet my consultant get weighed and get the products I will let you know

Im the same, always thin at school (but thought I was big!) and then I put on 4 stone when I was pregnant and that was 14 years ago. And since then its been up-down-up-down - driving me crazy as it doesnt stay down!! So this time Im determined to lose the 4 stone needed once and for all and for once be happy and confident in my body.
I hope the consultant comes back to you soon. I understand its upsetting when you are at your heaviest but you have still lost loads on your own already, I would be really happy with those results and now, once you start Cambridge, then the weight should drop off :D xx
 
Hey, I heard from my consultant today Im starting 1 week today.
I wanted to start right now although, when I told her I have a friends birthday on Friday and hen party this weekend Sat - Sun, she advised me to get them out of the way first (as your more likely to fall off the wagon the first week especially if you have a few social events in the calendar). Im still going to eat really healthy between now and then.
From next Tuesday (25th) I have nothing for 2 weeks then I have a wedding (but going to use that as a goal) . Exciting times ahead! We will be both be skinny mins soon :) xx
 
Ah ok that makes sense I guess.... One thing you could do this week is maybe following a low carb, high protein diet as this will get your body into ketosis already and might make starting this easier next week?
What is your goal for 2 weeks times, I would love to lose 2 stone in 4 weeks but Im not sure I can...? Im going to really try though! :) xx
 
Im on Day 2 and feeling good, my stomach feels flatter already, I havent weighed myself yet though as I still feel a little constipated from Atkins still... so Im hoping when this kicks in it will clear me out (I remember it did the first time I went on this a couple of years ago).
Im not feeling overly hungry but can tell my stomachs empty so Im just trying to fill myself up on coffee and water at the moment. But so far, so good :)
 
Day 2 done and now on day 3 and so far so good. Feeling fine but quite hungry all the time so I'm just filling up as much as I can on coffee and peppermint teas!

I weighed myself this morning and the scales say I've lost 4lb is 2 days so far! I guess that's ok but I hope to keep losing. Id love to lose 10lb in the first week as I'm so desperate to lose 28lb in 2 weeks. I'm also doing some cardio to help with the loss too :)
 
Coming to the end of day 3 it's been torture. I'm so so hungry. I have drunk so much water today it's unreal my stomach feels so empty and is just constant swoshing around because it's so empty and full of nothing by liquid. I honestly don't know how people can stay on it 100% for weeks and weeks. I just hate being hungry it makes me feel so grumpy and miserable. My poor OH and son! I hope I've lost more by tomorrow this is almost killing me :(
 
Starting Day 4 today... yesterday was hard, I felt so hungry all day... Well I feel hungry all the time but yesterday it was more like starvation, I felt sick, and theres only so much water you can drink (I drink so much anyway, around 4-5 litres a day). I weighed myself this morning and it shows me at 12 12 which is a 6lb loss in 3 days, Im not sure if this is water because I was on Atkins before CWP so I was already in ketosis but seeing that weight loss spurs me on and makes me want to stick to it, but Im literally counting the days hour by hour and getting through it this way, as being hungry all the time is not good, for me or my poor family.

Come on girl, YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Almost half way through day 4 and have am starving! again! whats new! im always starving!!!
I just cant wait until these 4 weeks of torture are over and I can stop feeling like this. I would never stick to this if it wasnt for the weight loss results!!!
Arggggggggggggggh!!

I find writing down how Im feeling really helps me though :)
 
OK...........Start of day 5 and feeling much much better. I had 180g of tuna last night after my third shake and I felt so much better straight away and I didnt wake up feeling famished, which is a great result!!
Im not sure if having tuna is good everyday as I only lost 1lb since yesterday but I feel a million times better just having that and knowing its there and I can have it is a real help.
The scales said Ive lost 7lb is 4 days so far.... obviously this isnt official as I need to get weighed in by the cambridge lady Monday evening, but if I lose 10lb this week I would be over the moon!! More than halfway through Day 5 and Ive had 3 coffees, 2 peppermint teas, 2 litres of water and my porridge so far...
I am about to have a shake and then do 50mins exercise DVD and then have a shake for dinner. Im finding today a little easier to cope with that yesterday and I wonder if thats because of the tuna last night?
I have a 3 hr body combat marathon tomorrow to do, eeeeeeeek!!So might treat myself to some tuna tomorrow night too haha
 
Hi! Just wanted to say hello to you and Kelly. I'm a day behind you. This is day 4 for me. We have such similar start weights and time goals. It makes me feel good that I'm not alone! Feeling quite good today. Like you I want to do some exercise but my consultant told me nothing more than a gentle stroll with the dogs due to the VLCD. Has yours told you that? Keep up the good work!
 
Hey! That's good we are similar, makes it easier to understand what the other person is going through :) how are you finding it so far..?
My lady didn't say anything about exercise really but I'm used to doing it and so have just carried on. I have to admit cardio is easier on this than on atkins! A stroll is good to do, much better than doing nothing. I have noticed that the people on this forum with the biggest losses exercise also and I want to try and turn flab into tight, toned muscle :) keep in touch and let me know how you get on! I find writing in this forum and other peoples posts a real godsend :) x
