The 100lbs weight loss journey SS

Hi to all my fellow Cambridge sole sourcers (if that's even a word), I have just started my journey today after years of piling the weight. To put it simply, I am 5.7, and 16st 11lbs and would like to weight 9:7lbs by Christmas. It may be slightly ambitious but I really want to put this battle with my weight to bed once and for all. Tbh, I am fed up with being overlooked, ignored and in turn I have felt my confidence slip away from me as I let the weight pile on ( bad eating habits and not enough exercise). So I wandered if there's anyone in a similar predicament, who wants to partner up with me!

Welcome :)

Just wanted to say good luck. My advice is to stick with it, the longer your 100% the easier it gets. I'm right near the end of my journey having lost 3 stone, just a few more pound to go. This diet really works and there's no reason why you can't lose 5-6 stone by Christmas if you stick to it. Good luck. X

:) other advice is to come on here and write and read. I think I read every single post lol. X

If you don't cheat your goal is perfectly achievable. My advice is it's all or nothing and well worth just going for it. Every slip just makes life that much harder for yourself. It's way easier to stick to the programme than regularly trying to get back on it. Once you're past day 10 or so it gets so much easier. You'll need to be selfish too. Not let people talk you into eating at functions etc or having a drink because you're out. I can assure you going out at Christmas half the woman you are now will be 1000% times better than having that one little thing now because you succumbed to peer pressure from people who think they are doing you a favour. There is nothing in the world like the feeling when you realise after 30 years of being the biggest one that you're actually a normal weight now. I promise you, stick to it rigidly and you'll never look back.

Hi guys,
Just a quick update, seemed to be going well thus far, it's just boredom!!! I don't know about you guys but I feel like I have much more time, now I'm not obsessing over food that much! I can't wait to reach the two week mark so I can introduce exercise. Or when do you guys think it's best?

@kiwichan Thanks for your advice, tbh, I'm not even telling people (unless I really have to), because I'm not remotely interested in hearing people trying to dissuade me from my goal, such as the usual "you're starving yourself", "but you look fine". I can't stand the constant need for people who have not had a weight problem attempting to stop other people from losing weight, so for now, I would just rather share my experiences here would people who understand...

Hi Misslaylay,

I'm about to start on the cambridge plan tomorrow and have 100 pounds to lose too, it would be great to have someone to share the journey with. X

Hi Desperatetobethin,
I hope you're well, hows your first morning going, I trust it's going well. We should definitely partner up and beat this, it's day 5 for me, and I feeling very tired and strangely cold, but from what I gather this goes soon, I must be in ketosis. Can I ask you when you're next weigh in, and what your beginning weight is?

Feeling cold and tired is defo a sign. Few more days and you'll be flying.

Hi Misslaylay,

well done on getting to day 5, I'm not doing too bad today, I feel constantly thirsty today but not really hungry which is good, Hope the tiredness doesn't last long for you, I hate being tired all the time.

Im going to weigh in on a Monday morning as I'm hoping this will keep me on track on the weekends as this is when I trend to struggle especially when I've had a couple of drinks :-(

my start weight is 295 which is a bit depressing, however this is the last time I'm going to see that number, I'm determined to reach my goal this time :)

what day are you planning to weigh in ?

Hi Desperatetobethin, don't worry about your starting weight, what's important is that you have started, and now it will be a thing of the past, but it's great to think about your successful journey and where you came from so you can read appreciate your hard work. It also helps me to keep egging you on to the next stone until you reaching it. We are after-all, in it together lol! My weigh in on Thursday evening and I honestly cannot wait, so I can say I've out a week behind me! What is your goal/target weight?

sounds like you have both had a great start, good luck and keep up the fab work. cant wait to see both of your results from weigh in.xx

Hay all,

Doing well CD friends ;)

I am also just one week down but not been weighed yet as my CC is on holiday. So first weigh in is one week today and I will be two weeks in.

Keep jumping on the scales which is naughty

Keep positive everyone, I'm a heavy weight starting at 19.3 Oouuuuuuuuccccccccccccchhhhhhhhh !!!! I hate even saying it !!!!

From my scales I have lost 12lb in my first week but who knows how correct that is to her scales. So now at 18.5...... my goal is to get into the 17's by next week so I can say I have flown through my 19's and 18's and now in my 17's !!!

Sad I know but gotta do what ya gotta do !!! lol

So how is everyone getting on today, I find the weekdays quite easy when I'm not thinking about this diet 24/7 but the weekends the hardest as im not at my desk so my water consumption slows down.

Keep posting love reading the story's as keeps me motivated

Drink Responsibly :7834: obviously water !!!

Hey Ms HG,
Hope you're well, congrats on your weight loss, that is brilliant for two weeks work, and I can't wait till we reach our respective targets. I'll tell you one thing, I'm hating drinking water right about now, it's making me sick, I think it's temporary as I usually love drinking water with the shakes, but it positively making me gag :( ahh well, may the weight loss continue!

Hay,

Even better its only one week and lost 12lb not two :p

I no that we are not supposed to but I did the same 7 years ago when I did this diet but I have this cheap flavoured water from Asda 4 for £1.50 or something and I mix it with water so do half and half or what ever. It then has a slight flavour and is so low in Cal.

I really wanna do this, im just so impatient !!!!! lol

xxx

Hi misslaylay,

good luck for Thursday, I can't wait to get the first week out of the way, I'm just hoping for a good loss so it's keeps me motivated. I'm finding it difficult not wanting to stand on the scales everyday, but trying to hold out until Monday so I appreciate it more, I have a habit on going on all the time and getting disappointed when it doesn't say what I want.

My target weight is 152 so a long way to go, thought if I aim for 100 first then can focus on the last little bit after that. How about you, what's your end aim?

Thank you minecraftmum, looks as though you have had an amazing start, I'm hoping everyone's losses keep me motivated :)
