Here we go.......

Hi all

I am a CD restarter, I lost over 2 stone on CD 3 years ago and managed to keep it off until I got pregnant with my son. I have since then been very sporadic with my gym and now back at work time just melts away and convenience eating and lack of motivation has let me put weight back on. Luckily not at my heaviest but enough to make me hate looking in the mirror once again.
I found keeping a diary on here and maybe buddying up with someone really helpful. So if you want to buddy up let me know.

I am starting today as a friend gave me some old packs and am seeing my new consultant this evening:

Breakfast today apple and cinnamon porridge and a coffee not too bad and have a soup for lunch. I am on SS+ as like to still be able to leave the house and go for dinner occassionally and find it works better for me as the the thought of SS fill me with dread!

Anyway be nice to hear from people and if you have any tips feel free to pass them on! I imagine this time will be harder as less time and £ and now feeding a family!!!

xx

Hiya!

How long did it take you to shift the weight the first time? And massive congrats for keeping it off for so long. That is the main battle I think. How did you find maintaining?

I am 4 weeks in, doing SS+ / 810 and have made good progress.

The first 10 days are the worst! Keep going, it works if you work it.

Xo

not very long actually, I started when I got back from holiday at the end of October and was pretty much at goal by Christmas and then kept it off for 2 years so I know when I get there I can keep it off. I found sticking to no carbs mon-fri or adding a sweet potato/cous cous a big help as carbs are an issue for me. I genrally stayed clear of pasta, rice, bread and white potatoes. I did go to the gym 4-6 times a week back then but this time I just cant. I work long hours and have my son to think about. I might make a point of running to my consultants once a week, a gym session and a dvd a couple of days and hope for the best!

Even though I am not as heavy this time I actually feel worse my tummy is very flabby and the tops of my legs look bigger than I remember - maybe as I was so toned for so long its more noticable. I have zero confidence. I can just about do up size 12 jeans but its very tight lol! I want to go back to being a small toned 12 and I will be happier than ever!

I think I have struggled with motivation and the fact that when I was pregnant I only wanted to eat carbs which I know are detrimental to me but when you feel so rubbish and all you can stomach is potato and sandwiches lol thats what you eat. Feeling good this time and meeting a new consultant tonight so hoping she will help me feel motivated through out.

How are you getting on?x

Hey :) congrats on your son and good luck on your journey , day 1 for me too! Not wanting to chew my own arm off so bonus but my head is pounding, roll on bedtime! Xxx

Hiya - yep carbs are a no no for me too, in four weeks of not eating them I have not felt fuzzy headed or had the roller coaster sugar highs and lows and generally feel a million times better. I know once I get to goal I will have to avoid them as a rule and especially when there is an opportunity for me to binge (cake/ sweets being brought into the office for example). I can't just have one! Good work on your maintaining though, I did cambridge before for about 3 weeks and lost a stone for my wedding (I was much lighter then) but put 3 stone on in 6 months (!) after I got married. No excuse just rampant pigging out! I am hoping to lose another 2 stone before I go on holiday at the end of September, we shall see, I will then be back to work up the steps to eating normally and exercising again.

Thanks Pamela :)

You are doing so well though - 4 weeks is a long time. I know this diet is hard but am at my wits end and really need to lose the weight quickly so I dont give in as I owuld do on slimming world/WW. I feel like a whale!

Its nice to have people to chat to in the same position and keep each other motivated. I met my new consultant last night she was really nice and didnt try to take the pee and try to get me to take every product under the sun! I think she is more on my level than the last.

So Day 1 went well even when my son was offering me bites of his dinner! He is at the stage where he is wanting to share everything!

I had sea bass and veg for dinner which was nice 1/2 lemon bar and a coffee! 4 litres of water....go me.

Day 2 so already had 1.5 litres of water and a green Tea with my porridge, soup for lunch and then chicken and salad for dinner. Feeling motivated!

Have a good day all x

Day 3 went well! Surprisingly! I don't work Wednesdays I spend them at home with my son
We usually meet up with some friends and have a day out. Yesterday we went shopping and for a nice walk to the park. Also my FIL is staying so cooked them pulled pork, potatoes and made some coleslaw - torture!! I had choc mint shake
Choc tetra
Fish and asparagus
Lemon bar
Still managed 3 litres of water which is good as usually struggle at home!

I am off to the cinema tonight and have bought a coke zero and will take my lemon bar so hopefully will pass this test! Next test the weekend!!!!!
Had a sneaky peek and 6lbs down already!
How is everyone else getting on? X

Official weigh in at 5 days was 6lbs my full week will be tomorrow so hoping for 7. My consultant lady is off now for 2 weeks so need to try and stay on track. Weekend was ok not 100% but not bad. I didn't have any packs sat had an omelette and then chicken and mushrooms for dinner then a few squares of dark chocolate
Yesterday was 100% again so not the worst slip up just hoping to lose at least another 7-8lbs by the time my lady comes back.
Hope everyone had a good weekend.
