Step 1 Sole Source new to the Cambridge diet!! 6stone to loose

Ive just found this forum and I think its a fab idea to be able to share with so many people and hear so many stories!

I started this diet on sunday and so far I have stuck to it 100% and finding it surprisingly easy which is strange for me as the longest I have lasted on a diet is 2 days but this is going so well!!

My start weight is 16st6lb!!! And my goal is 9st 6lb! Apparently this will be reachable by September time so fingers crossed x

Strangly enough when my cd lady came for the first time it was a thursday but she said to start on the sunday as I had a wedding on the friday and saturday so tomorrow is my first weigh day!

Im not expecting a huge loss maybe a lb! But then she has asked if she can see me fortnightly I don't no if thjs is the norm for the cambridge consultants but I surpose on the bright side my losses will or should be more exciting

I am 100% committed to this and would love to hear how long it has taken other people to loose their weight?
 
Also I refuse to join a gym or run anywhere lol but will start to do yoga and pilates when I make it through the first month
 
Hi there and welcome to cwp!! I have tried many diets over the years and have definitely had most success with this one ... Most successful by a mile. You will definitely lose more than a lb. if you are 100% all the time, you can expect to lost a stone a month.

I have lost 4 & half stone since November. I probably average about 3 lbs per week. A little slower but much better than half a lb a week on WW!! Like you I don't exercise but now feel I have the energy to. So must start soon!! There's bits that need toned too!!

Hi Abbie, hope you're doing ok and that weigh in was a nice surprise (unless you're very unusual, first week weigh ins tend to be stellar! The trick is *not* to give into the temptation to treat yourself as a reward - this diet is very unforgiving if you fall off the wagon! First time around I was terrified of coming out of ketosis, so that thought kept me going for weeks!

I have a similar amount of weight to lose, so will be watching your progress with interest! :)
 
Hi guys my weigh in was yesterday and I lost 6lb which I'm really pleased with because my weigh day was ok my forth day! I'm still very positive even more so now I've lost 6lb still not hungry? And still drinking about six pints of water a day

BUT! I am starting to feel less and less hungry is this normal? Because I'm forcing myself to have all three meal replacements maybe in drinking to much water?

I'm also slightly worried now it's going to take me ages to loose the weight but still staying positive xx ?

Yay, well done! :clap: 6 pounds in 4 days is brilliant. Think you'd have had a 10lb loss if it had been a full week.

Yes, lack of hunger is normal. It comes and goes but is generally really manageable - surprising, isn't it? :) Six pints of water - that's about 2.4 litres, so no, you're not overdoing it. Pretty much exactly what's recommended.

It will take a while to lose the weight - but nowhere near as long as it would if you were doing it the slow plodding way. We reckon on about a stone a month (and often a stone and a half in the first month, especially if you've got more to lose like me).

You're doing great - hang in there! What's been your favourite product so far - and which one do you never want to eat again? :D There used to be a broccoli and cheese soup. I thought it was rank, though every now and again someone would say they liked it. Yuck!
 
My cd lady has said I should be finished by September so fingers crossed! And I hate the risotto it tastes to powder like I don't like the butterscotch one and the toffee and walnut I don't like any of the soups but I don't like soup full stop so and I don't like the mint crunch bars they taste quite powdery the porridge I refuse to even try YUCK!

At the min I'm having a cappuccino for breakfast everyday with ice I'm obsessed with them just like an iced latte from Starbucks

Then for dinner I will either have a chocolate or chocolate mint shake with ice

Then for tea I have the pasta which I think is fab! Or one of the bars I like them all except the mint crunch

I'm not to keen on the Orange water flavouring it tastes like something you would drink for a urine infection I have it now and then but mostly just ice water I'm so shocked at how easy I'm finding this but I can imagine in the second month in going to get
Bored but I know I'll carry on

I'm quite missing though a diet coke and olives and cinnamon buns and anything to do with potatoes so I'm hoping that will go away she doesn't come again for two weeks now so I'm really excited to see what my weight loss will be

I also downloaded the cd app so I can track everything which is quite motivational I like that

On the 30th my other half comes home from work and he works away two weeks at time normally and comes home then for three days so when he's away at work I'm fine with this diet but when he gets back I think I'm going to go into panic mode he loves going out for tea and home cooked meals and going out for a drink with our friends and I'm worried I'm going to cave in as soon as I see him eating we have a little girl and her eating doesn't bother me because she eats a lot of seafood which I hate anyway and she only has organic snacks which taste like nothing so when she's eating it doesn't bother me but when he comes home on Thursday I'm worried about how it will be he knows I'm on the diet and is very supportive but in the past ive only made it till he's come home on other diets so I don't know what this one is going to be like ?

After my next weigh in which will be the 7th I'm going to start adding pictures to my little diary on here including a start picture!! Dom Dom dooommm! Even if people don't see it it will let me see at the end and week by week how I went on and how I've changed as I don't think u can really tell when ur looking at yourself in a mirror

No, I can't do soups either. I used to tolerate the oriental chilli one, but now, just the thought makes me gag!

Great choices. :) I'd love to try the pasta, but I'm wheat intolerant and I think it's one of the ones I can't have. :(. Loved your comment about the Orange water flavouring! :D

Hopefully by the 30th you'll be so in the zone it'll be ok. But if you really struggle, it's worth remembering that a little chicken and/or green veg won't do too much damage. If you can stay strong and just stick to your shakes though,myou'll know you can always do it. I admit it feels a bit weird going out for a meal and sitting there with a Cambridge bar and a glass of fizzy water - but once you've done it a couple of times, you just feel virtuous, LOL. ;)

WELL!! Today was the worst day ever woke feeling much less than positive had a shake and had a shake for dinner THEN HAD A SAUSAGE!!!! So I'm officially thinking ive put my 6lb back on and my life is over lol I'm so angry with myself WHY WHY WHY!!!!!!!!! I must of lost all my positive energy while sleeping it's slowly coming back now I've been so naughty but I'm still so angry I'm going to weigh myself in the morning just to check if anything has changed

I think I may of got over excited and thought to much about being thin last night that I woke up thinking j was nearly done on the diet lol but I think from tomorrow I'm going to take it like its day one everyday

Spoke to my cd lady about me eating a sausage and wanting to chop my hands off for it and apparently I will be fine ive still had less than 450kcals so PHEW!!! Life is worth living again but still going to check the scales tomorrow and drink 70 pints of water to try and flush the sausage out of my system

LOL, if a single sausage is the worst cheat you ever have, you're going to do brilliantly on this plan. :)

Put it behind you. While not ideal, you did at least choose something relatively low carb! And please don't drink 70 pints of water. 6 is fine. If you've only had 450 calories today that sausage is going to matter not a bit. Don't make a habit of it though! And you need all the Vits and minerals, protein, carb, fat and fibre in your Cambridge packs - so if you've only had 450 calories, did you miss one?

Hey it was a sausage, not the end of the world! The good thing is that it shouldn't have knocked you out of ketosis. Worst it can do is affect your loss today. So it's not too bad. Sometimes you need to have a thing like this to learn that you feel bad when you eat something you don't really want to so that you won't do it in future.

It's done, move onwards and upwards (or downwards weight-wise)!!

I spent all last night looking at the inspirational photos on here and woke up this morning feeling positive again ive weighed myself and definitely not put weight on ive lost another 3lb since Thursday?!! So feeling very happy again and dropped into the next stone bracket but I'm not going to weigh myself again till next time my cd lady comes as I'm excited for the surprise of what it will be!!

I think writing a little diary on here is so helpful and having other people's support definitely got all my positivity back!!! Xxxxx

Wouldn't of gained from eating a sausage honestly just keeping going and think about week 2 weigh in x
