Hi - I lost 4st on his diet 5 years ago. I have gradually put almost 1 1/2 stone back on so starting again. I started at the beginning of June but bought new scales on Friday and these seem more accurate so my weigh in day will be Friday. Don't see many people on this but going to post anyway.

Todays Menu:

Breakfast. Shake
Snack. Mandarin Orange
Lunch. Shake
Snack. Hummus and sliced pepper
Dinner. Roast beef (100g), cauliflower mash, broccoli, asparagus, carrots (50ml Gravy)
Snack. Sugar free jelly

3 cups do coddle with semi-skimmed milk and 2ltrs water.

Well done. I'm hoping for a stone in five weeks. a lot I know but will try. not sure if to have one or two shakes a day though

2 shakes, 1 meal and 3 snacks, I don't always fit in all the snacks. I lost 5lb last week so your target is achievable.
 
ok will try it. just had a strawberry shake. thought it would be sweeter but it was drinkable. going to have the chocolate one for lunch then salad for tea a freddo is 10 carbs can I have one? my carbs for day are under 100 x

I make shakes using crushed ice and water in a blender - they are like a thick milkshake and much nicer. Your carbs should be calculated by sticking to things with less than 10g per 100g. So the freddo would be over that.
 
Thanks for that. makes sense. will look at a different snack. sausages for dinner. 97percent meat and look low carb. oh dear was looking forward to a freddo!

Morning, day one done. how are you?
didn't cave in I had some cashews then went to bed. woke up lots through the night as had a rubbish sleep and I ache. pretty sure it's my body getting used to it all.

It will get better - make sure you are drinking enough water. At the beginning I was up all night for the loo but it regulates itself - I sleep great now. What's on the menu today?

d gammon with roasted veg
s atkins bar which is probably cheating but it is low carb.

just had my cheese as a snack. not hungry at all so dont fancy my shake yet.

Today - had a long lie in so finding it hard to squeeze everything in.
Brunch - shake
Snack - ham and cheese
Dinner - roast chicken, cauliflower mash, spinach, carrots, little bit of gravy
Snack - not sure yet

Not great today cos I missed out on breakfast so only having one shake.

I have Atkins bars occasionally too
 
oh yummy gravy. I love gravy.
just had the caramel shake. was quite nice in a way. looking forward to my dinner.
not craving as much junk today although I normally crave it in the evening.
going to weigh myself tomorrow as thinking Monday is a good day for me to weigh x

yes I'm lisamjs1 on mfp.
I will be on about 1300 today I imagine before doing cs my calories were so high so they are pretty low now.

Just weighed myself 2.2 pounds in two days. very pleased.
only concern is the cost. is there a cheaper alternative to cs? am only hoping to do it for 5 weeks but its so expensive. the only way I can afford it is by doing one shake a day. do you think this is ok?

I know it's expensive - I have thought of trying something else but I know this works as I did it a few years ago. Well done on the weight loss - what's your goal?
