CLARRI'S CS ADVENTURE!!

Ok,
So, even though the tumbleweed is blowing around in this particular area, I thought it would be important to post my experience on here, whether it turns out to be good or bad, so that people can make a choice from others experiences.
Today is day 1. I was looking at food replacement plans on line last night, and came across this one. I have quite a lot coming up in the next couple of months, so even though I am desperate to see some quick results, I cannot commit to lipo or cambridge, (yes I know, what do I really want?, but I know what I am going to be capable of doing, and being realistic is more important). Anyway, read 8 pages of a forum where they are doing this plan, and really thought that it is what I am looking for, and is also affordable. Dont ask me why I cant do slimfast, but everytime I try, I last half a day. Maybe it is the mentality of this, ie, buying it in chemist, but I also think there are more flavour options.
Also, I am a fan of South Beach, but it just wasnt showing results quick enough for me, so as this is very low carb at the same time, that really appeals to me, as I am already slightly in the carb free mentality, and wheat REALLY does not agree with me. I eat it and half hour after I feel soooo lethargic.
Anyway, I have had my first shake. I decided to try banana, and was pleasantly surprised. It was really tasty, although I will add some ice to it the next day.
I am planning on having a soup for lunch, as I bought a box of them, so that will be chicken. then dinner will be a pork stirfry, (from recipe book that comes in starter pack).
I had shake bout hour and half ago, and admit that I AM HUNGRY now. But I have been eating really badly the past couple of days so am expecting my body to panic!!! lol. Have also had big glass of water, so now I must go as toilet is calling me. I am dreading tonight because at the best of times I am up twice in night, but when I started with SB, I was up about 6 times. Ah well, the price to pay for a size 12 bod!!! ha ha ha!!!

Thanks for the words. Have just had my lunch and had the roast chicken soup. It was ok, but I had read that it was quite sweet, and it actually is, but I added some garlic granules, and chilli powder, and it was fine. I suppose if Im honest, I am hungry, and DD has opened a packet of crisps that were DP's and I gorged on a packet of them about 3 weeks ago, and they are absolutely delicious, but, and its a big BUT, because I gorged on them, I acutally dont want them. I made myself sick with them before and they dont appeal to me now. Phew!!!
I really am looking forward to chewing my dinner later, which is I think what is the appeal of this plan.
Anyway, off to drink some water, and have a cup of tea, and bbl.

So,
Its now 5.37 on the evening of my first day, and I have been v peckish[}] Had small tin tuna and salad and tspn lf mayo early aft, but although I have been pushing water, I have been struggling, so had a babybel light. Am fine now. Will have dinner and end of. I am presuming that because we can have chinese takeaway that an uncle bens stirfry sauce (that isnt sweet and sour!!) is ok. Have a thai red chilli and coconut one. I bought frozen stirfry, cause Im lazy today!!! Letting the kids make their own pizzas, but funnily enough the only pizza that I like is dominos so safe there!!!
Am going to have some mixed berries and a little cream for a snack tonight. I just thought that I can be a little nice to myself today, but I am being 100% committed to this. I have to get at least half stone off before my birthday.
Bit headachey but nothing too bad. peeing on average every half hour. Cant wait for broken sleep tonight!!!

Ok,
so its the end of my first CS day. How do I feel? Headachey, but good. I did have more snack than I should have - being 2 slices lf cheese after my tuna and salad, but I think for the first day that was good. I now know what to expect. What is the headache about? I forget. Anyway, here is how today went -
B- 1 banana shake
S- 8 almonds, small apple
L- Roast chicken soup (not too keen)
S-tuna with tspn lf mayo, and salad veg
then light babybel, 2 slices lf cheese
D- lean pork stirfry with thai curry stir-in
S- berries, tblspn cream
and loads of water.
So, thats it for today.
Feel good and positive, and looking forward to tomorrow.
(except for the headache!!)

DAY 2

So here I am on day 2. Am feeling better today, I suppose because I didnt know what to expect yesterday. This morning I decided to try the cafe latte and try it hot, cause I thought it would taste like a cappucino, but on reading ingredients, I discovered that it has coffee granules, and I have a bit of sensitivity to coffee caffeine, so decided as I am feeling a bit jittery today that I would leave it for another day. Decided to try the choc shake, and make that hot, (weather is absolutely miserable today), as I love hot choc, , never again. it smelt of eggs. bleugh. Now I love eggs, but not hot choc thats meant to taste of choc!!! Anyway, chugged it down, then, bout 2 hours later, had small slice smoked salmon, with light babybel, and cherry toms and cuke. Am just having my second shake now - caramel, and it is lovely. v caramelly!
I am going to have a hardboiled egg for aft snack, prob with some more salad veg, and then chicken breast and mixed veg for dinner.
Feeling a little heady this avo, but see that as a good thing, ie. that things are going the right way!!!
So, I will check in later and let you know how Im getting on.

DAY 3

Today is day 3 for me. Physically I havent been feeling good. Very headachy, and tired, but getting through it. I tried the cafe latte this morning, and loved it. Def one of my favorites, and then the vanilla for lunch, which again was grand!! Did really well today. I had the shake, then I had some cherry toms and a hardboiled egg for snack, vanilla shake for lunch, and 1.5 slices lf cheese for snack, and a small steak with stirfry veg for dinner. I have to admit I have just had 2 tspns of lowfat coffee mate with my coffee, but hey. I did so well today, I was at my sons rowing regatta this morn, and they had bbq burgers, and although the smell was lovely I really wasnt tempted.
I have just read through the book and it says that eggs should be kept to 1-2 per wk, 2 a portion. Doesnt seem a lot. Have to say, I like to have one as a snack, as they are filling and good source of protein.
My clothes are definitely feeling looser, but yes I know that it is mostly water weight, but still feels good.
Anyhoo, back tomorrow.

Hooray, a visitor!!!!
Anyway, here we are, day 4, and I feel so positive and encouraged, cause I had a sneaky weigh this morning and have lost 4lbs
!!!! Thats so exciting for me!!!
This morning I had a choc shake, but added a tspn of decaf coffee, and it was the very same as the cafe latte, so mmmmm!!!!
I am going to have the strawberry one for lunch, even though Im dreading it, cause I dont really like strawberry flavoured stuff, and have heard that its not the nicest, so sure we'll see.
Had an apple and some smoke salmon for morning snack. prop have some almonds for aft snack, then grilled chicken and salad or stir fry veg.
And water.

So, its evening time, and I am feeling hungry, but not in an "I want to eat everything around me" way, it is a sort of in control hunger. Im not sure if this is what is experienced with vlcd's, but as Im so determined to stick to this I am fine with it. But hoping that it will fade away in the next few days.
Its a bit lonely that I am here on my own, and not able to share the experience with anyone else, but maybe if I succeed it will spur some others into doing it.
the flavours of the shakes are really nice. Even the strawberry, which I had read isnt too great, and I dont like strawberry flavoured things!!! Wont be getting it again though!!
I had grilled chicken and stirfry veg for dinner, and 2 pear halves with a little bit of cream. May have a few almonds to nibble but going to go and have a bath to try and distract me!!!
Its hard to explain, I just feel a little wired or something. I think its the dizzy feeling.
Ok. I will be back tomorrow.
