New here, just looking for some support

Hii, I haven't signed up to any groups yet as I'm really in two minds about it. I don't know if I would have the confidence to go alone to meetings near me (I don't know anyone else that would do it with me) but I really want the information and encouragement!

I really want to lose 2stone particularly, eventually more but 2 is my goal... However I struggle so much with binge eating and my weakness is a glass of wine! I've gone from a uk size 6-8 to a 12/14 in just a year. I'm going on holiday next month and I Obvs don't fit into any of my previous holiday clothes so had to go and buy all new and I just feel so uncomfortable when I look in the mirror. I'm aiming to be at least a size 10 by the time I go in May but I just have no clue where to begin!

Today I have decided to cut all white foods out from my diet, bread, pasta and potatoes (I generally do eat a lot of them)! I've had salmon for lunch and salad for tea, but then I don't know what the best least fattening salad dresses are so I ate it plain which was really boring! I've snacked on fruit and cracker bread with a tiny layer of light Philadelphia over the top.... IM STILL HUNGRY!!! How can I eat well, but be full, or even any healthy snacks that will fill me? How do I drop a dress size in a month?!!

Sorry for blabbering on a bit here :)

Hia.

I'm not an expert by a long shot but I don't think you're eating enough!! . I've just bought a Fitbit which tells me how much I can eat calorie wise and my fitness pal does the same kind of thing.

Research on the Internet. Are you eating fruit in your diet? And veg? Lots of veg are low cal but filling. If your cutting out white foods, what about brown rice/pasta/sweet potatoes?

Nuts and seeds are good snacks. I can't help with salad dressings as I don't like salad and so basically just eat lettuce and peppers!! Google salad dressings, lemon juice, chillies, yoghurt - I am clueless really!!

Good luck with your weight loss! I'm sure you'll do really well!!

Just saw that you said that you snacked on fruit. Sorry, should pay more attention!

This is gonna sound like an advert, but.. Have you tried Cambridge Weight Plan :)?
I know it looks a bit extreme, first 3-4 days are the worst (mine weren't THAT bad I have to say, even tho I love food..anything.. and a lot :D). But seeing the weight going from day 1 is just amazing.
Plus you'll get 1 to 1 support, which for me was absolutely ideal, I don't like big groups, I wouldn't be able to talk about my emotional problems with food openly, etc..
It's been 3 weeks and so far I've lost 1 stone 5 lbs, so I'm a happy girl.

Obviously, you need to find what suits you, I have to say CWP is the first diet I've ever tried and I'm happy to say that it's working :).

Whatever you decide for - good luck and I believe you'll get to your wanted weight :))!!!

Congratulations on taking the first steps :) they can be very daunting.

I would also suggest using My Fitness Pal, you can use it online and as an app on your phone, it's really helped me to be aware of how much I'm really eating. You need to weigh all your food which can be difficult sometimes but it really does open your eyes :)

Good luck!
