Hi x this will be my journey I hope to say my final journey to a new me ! I have tried every diet going and had some success :) and some failures :-( . I am not back at my biggest but still have a way to go .. Over a 100 pounds ideally .. I'm not going to dwell on the past as that has hindered me before so I hope to have learnt something along the way .. So why diet chef? Well I realise I need to have all my calories counted and meals planned for me and the meals did look nice on the website lol so I took the plunge and here I am . I started my new regime last wed altho my boxes didnt arrive till Thurs but I have been pleasantly suprised with the quality and taste of everything so far . I am adding in calories too as advised up to 1500 which gives me a bit off leeway and I don't feel deprived. I will be weighing myself on a Wed .
I will keep this updated with my ramblings ..

Hi :) I'm new to diet chef. My order arrives Tuesday, so will be starting Wednesday eeeeek! I need to lose weight for my wedding in June. I need to lose around 4st ideally but even to drop a couple of dress sizes would be perfect!
Wanna buddy up? We can motivate each other x

I've just started diet chef today... I need to loose 2st 9lb to get to my pre-pregnancy weight and 5 stone to get to goal...
I've had the chocolate cookie for breakfast which was yummy and the chicken cous cous salad for dinner which wasn't so yummy lol

Hello ladies x nice to see some visitors and to know there is some support out there :) I had granola for breakfast and at first I thought well there s hardly anything there but it was tasty and filling had the sweet potatoe and coconut soup with a v small roll for lunch I really liked that . Had the sausage meal for tea with veg all v tasty ! I realise that I have been eating far too much portion wise when I tried WW so this is making me think . Hope everyone has had a gd day :)
 
Well weigh in day tomorrow :) am not sure what to expect I did like the euphoria off losing big numbers when I did the vlcd but I never maintained the loss so this time it ll be slow and steady . I tried the minced hot pot and it is the first meal I haven't liked I still ate it lol but won't get that one again . Lets see what tomorrow brings

I think I am fully recovered from the shingles which knocked me for six :-( I was on tramodol for 4 months and had withdrawal symptoms but that's all behind me now I rejoined the gym last week and am taking it slowly but getting there thank you for your support and am with you a the way and have subscribed to your new diary x

hello Katierose, that is really good, particuarly as it is only half a week, hope things are going well for you. I am feeling slightly rough tonight, tired and grumpy and such a dirty taste in my mouth.
 
Hi Jo and Mads x Im doing 1500 calories a day Jo , I did like Slim & Save but the Dr advised me to do healthy eating as opposed to VLCD's from now on. x

Hope your feeling a bit better Mads , There are days when I find this easier than others especially if I try the food and dont like it but still eat it as I dont want to waste it :)

I also have 1 "cheat" meal a week on a Sat night I ve found if i cut things out totally I crave things

So here s to another day x

That is a good idea katie, a good meal at the weekend. I know what you mean about the big losses on vlcd, I did lighter life about 3 years ago and within 3 months had lost 3 stone. It was great and not too hard. However, it really wasn't healthy, as soon as i started back to normal food the weight came back on and i couldn't control my appetite at all - it was really frightening.

Anyway hope today went well for you.
 
Well just thought Id update after my weekend, It was a belated company do which was going well.. until one obnoxious young guy called me a "fat B....h" :cry:, Things had gone on and I was sitting comforting a friend who he had also
insulted :mad:, Now I know I need to lose weight or more weight but I really think that people who say these things have no idea off the impact off their cruel words!! But in a way its made me more determined to carry on and i didnt drown my sorrow in food and drink yesterday so I am making progress.. I will be weighing in a Sat as I didnt really start Diet Chef till Last Sunday & I hope to see a loss this week :)

good for you Katierose, shows how keen you are, the guy is obviously an odious toad and it is great that it made you more determined than ever.
 
So end of week 2 and a 2 pound loss I'm happy with that . I am enjoying the food and am back at the gym now up to half an hour now .
