    my avidlite journey

my name is sian, i'm from the north east and i'm a self confessed chocaholic! i need to get out of this way of thinking so have embarked on the avidlite plan to try and help me lose a couple of stone.
i am only 4ft 11 and weighed in at 10s 12 on friday 20th november 2009, my aim would be to lose 2 stone to be a comfortable weight.
i know i shouldn't weigh myself every couple of days but i couldn't resist it this morning, to my surprise the scales say 10s 8, -4lbs!
i'm hoping for a bit of support to get me through this journey and any words of wisdom would be much appreciated.

    Sian x

well day 5 seems to be the easiest so far! the office had pizzas delivered in and i managed to politely refuse a piece, the smell was to die for though! i realise now there's a difference to something smelling nice and actually feeling really sluggish if i stuff my face! onwards and downwards!

Well done Sian you are doing really well. I'm also using Avidlite shakes combined with lowcarb food but not doing too well at the moment. Too much food and not enough shakes. My advice would be just keep doing what you're doing as it works. It's when you start mucking around that the problems start.

There are a view Avidlite users over on the Low Carb section of the Board.

hi thanks for that jacsprat i was starting to think i was all alone on here! i think i will have a look in the low carb section.
i think your right about the messing around with food, i'm trying to keep it simple and stick with the shakes and a low carb meal for tea, it seems to be working because today is day 7 weigh in and i'm down from 10s 12.25 to 10st 5.50 which is a 6.75lbs loss if i'm right! woo hoo!
onwards and downwards! i will be slimmer for christmas

    Hi.

I am in the Atkins and Low Carb sections and I use dietimeal products fairly regularly.

They are not designed for ' sole source' type use, however tasty and however much cheaper they are than most other low carb/low calorie products. I am sure you know already but feel I ought to point this out to those who might not.

Used correctly they are pretty good. I love the Proti Oatmeal. I prefer the original flavour but the sweeter ones are okay. They are also higher in carbs so need watching lol.

    Good luck!

    hi girlygirl
I've been having a shake for brekkie, a shake for lunch then a low carb tea, that is right isn't it?
It seems to be working because i'm onto day 10 and i'm down from 10s 12.25 to 10st 4.25 so thats 8lb down! woo hoo
The hunger has faded now but i still have a daily battle with temptation, i have to keep reminding myself that i don't really need that chocolate bar!

    Hi Sian

    How's it going?

I feel your pain re the chocolate. After allowing myself to eat some over Christmas, and then making sure the house was free of it ready for me going back to dieting this Friday we were given a huge tin of Roses last night. Typical eh?

    We can do this girlies

I cannot wait to start 'healthy'eating.....I am just eating for eating sake.....I am full to the brim!!!

I was going to start on the 4th....but I might start on the 2nd.

I have done Avidlite before....and was quite successful.......but went on holiday and it all went belly up as they say

A couple of friends of mine are doing W8...but I don't think I can do TFR.....

Anyway you lovely ladies (and men) let me know how you are getting on.

    hi girls
happy new year and hope you all had a great christmas!
If i'm being totally honest i've completely fell off the wagon over the last couple of weeks.
For me christmas is the hardest time of year to stick to a diet, but i have managed to curb my eating.
I plan to draw a line under this and just get on with losing that last stone or 2, now that temptation is out the way it should be a bit easier!
I did beat myself up a bit when i first pigged out but i'm just going to get back on plan and try my best!
    good luck everyone!

I've eaten stuff over Christmas that I hadn't eaten all year, and beaten myself up over it a bit too.

But I like find the positives in things and even though I have put weight on I've learnt that the foods I thought I missed weren't actually that nice and left me feeling sluggish and bloated, so I won't be missing them again.

So often the case, and something we all need to remember when we're feeling tempted.
