No real change this week. That is ok. The heat has just been incredible. I did have some nice success over the weekend. I can now say... officially a size 10 Yea...... Gave up and had to buy some more shorts and capris. North of us a few miles it hit 116...errrr. Just glad that was not us.

Went to my hair dresser of 25Yrs last week and immediately first response ....You have lost weight. Your face..thin. After changing into a smock and seated in the chair.. Funny she first asked if everything was ok..you never know and again..wow you have really slimmed down. You look great..with a big grin.

I have been hovering in the 156-157 range all week. I'm making this for lack of another word almost like a thin wrap type thing. Oat & wheat bran, milk, spice & B.S. dash of BP and spread it thin on silicone and bake. Slice into little squares refrigerate and eat daily. It does the trick!! You loose your appetite in this heat.
Hope everyone is well. Just really busy.

Yay, always such a good feeling when another pound slips away. Say goodbye to the unwanted guest :-). How long is your heatwave predicted for? Any breaks coming up? I remember arriving in New Mexico in April and it was so hot I was sun bathing in my garden. A clearly more seasoned person walked by in a jacket and did a double take. The next year, I was in my jacket after getting acclimatised! Coming back to England was a real shock though, I was so cold for years.

At this point ladies... I am doing whatever I can do to stay healthy in the weather we are having. We are in a historic 100+ year heat wave. Gatoraid is must!! I do drink the G2 low cal but it is literally dangerous out there. I'm not complaining..just the way it is. At this point I am more than happy just staying where I am till the weather retreats. Dehydration occurs so quickly. Lets just say till this heat leaves us I may have to just go on maintenance. Weight is holding steady through a birthday, anniversary and various parties. This I feel really good what Dukan has done for me. I now have a tool to stay slim. It works for my body type and eating lifestyle very well. The things I eat...I'm happy eating psychologically speaking.

So if I'm not checking in I'm not gaining..just not loosing...

You walk outside and you skin immediately tightens up...that is how hot it is. AT 11:30 AM the temperature humidity index was 105. Later today that will be the actual temp with a much higher THI.

I am a walking poster child among my friends for the Dukan way of life.

I love Dukan...it has given me my life back...

Went to a family party last night no one had seen me since the day before I started Dukan. Huge round of congats....I actually heard the term "skinny" hahahaha
Have now officially given away all of my pants & shorts. Went from a tight fitting 14 to a 10. Blouses, I'm making do. Doing a great job just maintaining my weight. I definitively can see that my body is adjusting really well, no up & downs with weight. I cannot wait till the heat subsides...then I'm full speed hard core dukan till I reach my goal weight. I'm outside a lot and it is so hard to stay hydrated. You can just feel it sucking the fluids out of you. This historic heat is so different than anything since the summer of 1980 around here. At midnight it is still 95 degrees, meaning we have no cool down. Normally that number would be in the 70's.
So the good thing with the weight loss it is so much easier on my body in the heat.
    So till next time

Karen - great to hear from you, and keep in touch! That weather does sound awful (and here are we all moaning at the atrocious couple of weeks' "summer" we've had in England and most of France!).

It's great that you've kept the weight off and your BMI is healthy and you're now officially "skinny", I hear.

It sounds as if a move onto Conso would be a good thing
    Good luck!

Joanne Thank You It looks like you & I are about the same weight?? Yes? I'm still on PP-1 PV-1 as much as I can. If I know I am going to be outside all day...well the Gatoraid is a must so that blows my PP day. Like today it will be 106 & I have no idea what the heat index will be. I'm charging ahead come a little cooler weather. I'm am a HUGE believer in the Dukan way of life & eating.. it works for my body type and eating lifestyle.
I have a number of Dr. friends and across the board they are very very supportive of slow & steady in regard to weight loss. I guess it is all what your head is allowing you to do...if you have a positive attitude toward changing anything, in this case weight well you will be successful.
Your weight loos is amazing..you should be extremely proud & I'm sure you are

Thank you Karen - my weight loss WAS amazing, but it was years ago, and I'm really just messing around with the same stone or two on and off since I quit smoking in 2007. Dukan hasn't particularly helped me because my problems are more "in the head" so although as much I enjoy eating the Dukan way, the other "me" will still jump headfirst in a bucket of food whenever she can. I am definitely two people!

Meanwhile it is so interesting hearing how people in other parts of the world are dealing with everything. I love it.

Silly me I've lost weight everywhere on this body... being the mental giant that I'm not just figured out that the reason her undies are "riding up" on me is...they are to big. hahahaha
    That said.

I'ts funny I've maintained this weight that I'm at for almost a month. One major thing that has become apparent is...I feel fat. The Dukan calculator for weight really is soooooo on target. I don't really know the words for it other than that...
I did get dehydrated the other day pretty bad. Just can't pound the body with protieins like I need to to loose. Protecting those kidneys.
So this little break has really been good for me mentally to see how much I do need to loose and how out of shape this body is. But again I'm proud just to be very stable weight wise no yo-yoing.
We are at 30+ days in a row now of 100+ and it is wearing on all of us. Crazy we are setting record highs for night time high temps. Meaning it never cools off.

So I've seen that 152 number..but I'm really not ready to commit to that number yet. But hopefully in a day or two I can commit to the 154 legitimately LOL
But wow this girl never thought she would see either of those numbers again in her life.

    Karen,

Outstanding results in pretty adverse conditions; Hang on in there surely the heat must break at some point - is there any hope?

In any case your losses are fantastic and well done on the socialising front too - those compliments are such a boost aren't they? I find I'm still being complimented on my *clothes* now - the figure is now an old hat - I suppose I am still buying new stuff in the sales when in the past I bought a lot less clothes, at the moment I have the perfect excuse of having to replenish my stock of clothes that *fit* because I really had nothing that I needed to 'slim back into'.

Oh and yes (I didn't see a lot of people during the summer whilst losing most of the weight, so on my return it was a bit of a drastic change) people also made concerned enquiries if everything was allright health-wise before then, with relief commenting on my weightloss

    Thank You Anjuschka
We both are very similar in our height and start weight. I would like to end up where you are around 140. It is odd how people will ask if everything is ok?? Your not ill are you?? type of comments.
Pre Dukan during the winter I was getting dressed and went to put on a pair of dress boots, really nice ones. They killed my feat, they were to tight. My husband spent the bulk of his life in the shoe business. He has said since day one..you will loose weight in your feet to. So I did not re-home them I kept. Well yesterday I thought...hummm I'll try those one again. Guess what they are almost to loose now & that is under our swelling heat conditions now.
About the heat..well this is a record breaking summer heat wise, we still have another 45ish days of this. If it was a dry heat that would be one thing...but it is not we get the gulf of mexico moist warm air on top of the heat. Next week for instance it will be above 104+ everyday. God only knows what the heat index will be.

So what size are you now in most of your clothing?

You have really accomplished so much in you loss.. Congratulations
